Glad to know I'm talking to myself! lol :) Check out the picture forum. I'll be posting some new ones in a bit. (And I posted one yesterday that nearly knocked my socks off!) It is my profile picture, but it's kind of small. :)

One of the "benefits" of losing weight is a lowered calorie amount. But your body needs more calories to carry around a 300 body (doing no exercise) than it takes to carry around a 200 body (doing no exercise). I remember when my sister did WW, and lost a bunch of weight and was rewarded with fewer points. What you might…

LoL....every day! The town has a lot of alien themed stuff. We moved here almost 10 years ago from California. We've discovered there are 3 kinds of people here: 1. True believers (either they or someone they know was abducted). 2. Head in the sand (We don't speak of these things) 3. Whatever! It brings tourist $$ here!!…

Tomorrow I take my monthly update pictures, but I had to show you this one! This morning, I put on a shirt I hadn't worn in a while, and I noticed it was very loose---especially across the chest. I was pretty sure I had a picture in that shirt. I dug around on Facebook and found it. Then I had my husband take a picture of…

No fooling! That is awesome! That's about what I need to lose (30 down so far!). This is very encouraging!

Just remember that each day is a chance to start over (with multiple restarts available each day!) If you "blow it", just pick yourself up and make a better change the next opportunity. It's not an "all or nothing". This is life! And we all know life is a roller coaster.

I started C25K at around 280 pounds. At first, I was running at about 3 MPH. Now (just finished week 7), I am up to 3.5 consistently, although I start at 4.0 (and try to make it through 1 song before I drop down!!)

I have found that lack of variety is actually helpful to me. I buy sandwich stuff (sandwich thins, Jennie-O deli meat, laughing cow cheese instead of mayo), cottage cheese, pineapple, and carrots. I keep them in the office fridge and I have a quick healthy lunch every day.

I experienced my first runner's high after W5D3 (the Big one!)!! It was the first time I felt great after exercising---ever!

Absolutely amazing! :)

When I got my shoes at Fleet Feet, the guy who helped me told me they encourage runners to alternate between running and walking during their first 5K. My first one one will be a couple of months after I finish the program, so I'm hoping I'll be up to running the whole thing.

I just finished week 6. W5D3 was a huge mental hurdle for me. My suggestions: 1. Be sure you stretch. I've been bad about this, but I did it before the 'big" run, and I had no pain in my legs. 2. Distraction. I usually listen to an audio Bible, but I decided I needed some music with some good beats. So I loaded my phone…

I use the free C25K app from Zen Labs. (iPhone, but I believe they have Android too). It gives me cues to run, walk, and cool down. AND, it allows me to use my playlists from within the app. (I can pause and skip the music).

Make sure you wear your new shoes a few times before the race. Mine took me about a week to break in. Also, you might not want to wear the new ones for color run. I'm not sure how much of the color will come out of shoes?!?!?

Wow! Thanks for sharing! I started right about where you did (306). I still have a long way to go, but stories like yours give me hope!

You look amazing! Keep up the great work!

The Swiss really doesn't taste like Swiss to me (and I like Swiss). My favorite is the sun dried tomato one.

I finally fit into my size 26 jeans!! (I never thought I'd be thrilled with that!!) About a year ago I had to buy elastic waisted jeans because I couldn't fit into any button/zipper jeans. This morning, they fit!
