Sugar (even 1200 calories worth) doesn't "spike insulin" as much as you seem to think it does. Only people with certain medical conditions (ie. Diabetes) have to worry about insulin spikes. For the OPs question, 1200 calories of crap is still 1200 calories so you'd lose weight. 1200 calories is much too little though. Eat…

The company admits that Sensa causes the following side effects: upset stomach dizziness hives gas loose bowels difficulty breathing dizziness swelling Aside from that, their research is complete crap, they are extremely overpriced, it simply does not work, and it's already been proven to be a scam.

The TDEE is already factoring in the P90X exercises that you do so you'd have to eat 2070 calories to maintain your current weight while doing those exercises. So you'd be eating 1800 TOTAL (assuming you do no other exercises besides P90X). For P90X I wouldn't log it as heavy exercise though. Moderate sounds more accurate.

Excellent. lol

Unfortunately making any drastic changes in 3 weeks isn't going to be possible. The best thing you can do is commit to the exercises you're doing now and eat more than 1200 calories to set yourself up for when you return.

My mother does the same too. I remember when I used to be heavier that she'd tell me that I should lose some weight. Then after I lost 60lbs she told me I used to look better when I was heavier. The psychological damage is amazing. I'm fully aware of it but it persists nonetheless.

I'm in the same boat. I wish I could eat cakes and all those extra goodies until I threw up but sadly they're so laden with fat that it's not possible to eat them to my content. I do still have my treats but I try to do it responsibly. Every now and then I'll stuff my face but I make up for it over the following days.

*slow clap* I love my carby doughnut but it's also filled with a ridiculous amount of fat. This must not be forgotten. But then again I do eat ridiculous amounts of plain white rice... Maybe it's all about balance?

I drink some homemade juices from time to time and just estimate the amount of juice from each fruit/vegetable. If I drink 24oz of juice and most of it came from carrot juice and the rest from fruit then I put 16oz of juiced carrot and 8oz of juiced apple.

I think what all the smart *kitten* people above me are trying to say is... YOU CAN NOT SPOT REDUCE. Lift heavy and eat right.

Sugar =/= Diabetes. You silly people and your myths. I love my coffee with about the same amount of aspartame. Makes it taste like coffee candy mmmm

If I didn't use MFP I'd use a spreadsheet. I'm not just tracking calories so this is lifelong for me.

The thread title made me think of a kernel of corn somehow working its way down your digestive tract and somehow getting into your blood stream and then into your urinary tract and then somehow down into your testicles where it wreaked havoc and you eventually lost a ball. ... :) By the way... Excellent information.

Indeed it is.

1200~ calories is a minimum for the body to function. While this number can be lower/higher depending on the size of a person, it doesn't really fluctuate much. All you need to do is give your body less energy than you're expending (over a long-term average) to lose weight. Eating far below your energy needs will work at…

Only half is crap so you shouldn't be too hard on her. #1, 2 and 4 are flat out wrong but getting enough water is very important and hormonal pills do have some sort of an effect on weight loss.

How in the hell did you interpret what he said as him agreeing with you? That's being amazingly blind/dense.

Who me? I don't believe in being nice when it's not deserved. Sorry.

Your body works on a long-term average. If your maintenance was 14000 calories in 7 days (2000 a day), your body couldn't care less if you ate 1500 for 6 days and then ate 5000 on the 7th day. It's only when you're consistently eating over/under your maintenance calories that you start to gain/lose weight. (muscle or fat)
