I don't believe you.

http://evidencemag.com/why-calories-count/ Good luck sir. Starting sucks the most.

If you need half your calories from protein like I do then I haven't found another way besides taking 2 scoops of protein powder daily.

If your maintenance is 2000 then every week you need 14000 calories to maintain weight. If you're dieting on 1500 and have a cheat day where you eat 4000, your weekly total went from potentially 10500 to 13000. Now all of a sudden you're only at a 1000 calorie deficit for the week. This is assuming you tracked everything…

I did 1200 for a stretch and the only way I was able to do it was by eating steamed/grilled/baked veggies with lean meat. I rarely, if ever, had any form of bread or fruit and I never drank any of my calories. I basically stayed hungry all day. I would not recommend it.

That's what I'm saying. I'm a male with roughly 20% but I store it all in the belly. Unfair I say! Unfair!

No you didn't screw up your metabolism. I didn't look through you diary but I'll assume you're being honest about 1200 NET calories. Increasing by 100 isn't going to do much. You need to eat your maintenance until you readjust to a normal diet. Then you can start dropping calories again. 1200 is probably too low for most…

If you have WiFi at home and don't really go out then you won't use much data. If you're always out and think you'll constantly be browsing, checking e-mail, searching things, etc., then your data usage can range from 1gb to 10gb. Videos add a lot of data so if you commit to not watch videos while on the 4G then your usage…

After the initial disgust at the sight of her, I stop caring and go on with my day. It's kind of like a pug's face. It's ugly, but after a while you just accept it.

Cheap, does the job, minimal caffeine. Citadel Nutrition Tier 1. http://www.citadelnutrition.com/store/supplements/tier-1

If I'm hungry, I'll sneak in a subway. I think movie food is nasty. (Both appearance and taste)

Do the math. 1600 a day + 2500~ once a week averages out to around 1725 a day. You exercise 400~ a day 6x a week. Your net calories (on average) each day are a little less than 1400. You're not an average sized person so the "1200 calories a day!" rule isn't going to apply to you. You'd need around 2800~ a day to maintain…

Maybe this thread is an IQ test.

Sorry but I can't eat 2000 calories of berries. Not saying pop-tarts are nutritious but they serve their purpose of not being disgusting and packing in tons of carbs with minimal fat. I love the Strawberry oatmeal and Oreo ones. I've tried the confetti and red velvet but I didn't really like them. I didn't even know about…

4x per week. 5 hours total, give or take 30 minutes. 2 days work, 1 rest, 2 work, 2 rest. All heavy lifting (bodybuilding program). Occasional cardio added in but only if I'm feeling up to it.
-
It's probably the same. The amount of calories you burn are determined by the amount of effort you put. I'm even inclined to say you burn more provided your pauses aren't 10 minutes long.
-
If your goal is 1200 and you burned an extra 400 through exercise then you need 1600 to keep to the weight loss goals you set. Without any exercise you'd lose 1lb? per week eating 1200. Since you exercised today, if you didn't eat that extra 400 then your body will have only received 800. This is generally frowned upon…

If you put sedentary as your daily activity level and are actually sedentary (desk job or whatever) then YES you do eat those. If you put active and you're just maintaining that active lifestyle, then no you don't eat them because they've already been accounted for. Given that your daily allowance is 1200 (which is really…

Your body burns a set amount by just breathing/digesting/moving etc. Then you burn a certain amount through daily activity. You specify your daily activity when you set a weight loss goal on the website (Sedentary, lightly active, etc.) You then subtract some of those calories so your body isn't getting all the energy it…

Filtered water is pretty delicious. I don't know why you don't like it. I just get a few 5-gallon jugs filled at the local water shop and go to town. Every now and then I'll use Mio. (Aspartame isn't bad for you unless you seriously over-consume it. As in several gallons of diet soda a day.)

"Toning up" actually means putting on a bit of muscle. Resistance Training/Heavy Lifting is the only way. Someone above me mentioned the College Fitness Center. Learn to lift. The rewards are much more noticeable than any Cardio workout can give you.

This has nothing to do with this entire topic but it's still my favorite reply. To the rest of you... Why do you even care what others say or do? F*** 'em and do your own thing. Lead by example if you still care.

Consuming a lot of sodium makes you retain extra water = you weigh more. Taking a shower before weighing yourself means your skin absorbs some water = you weigh more. Not pooping means you have some excess 'stuff' inside of you = you weigh more. Having your menses means you retain water = you weigh more. It's just water.

Oh boy.

Mostly by estimation. You can try using a HRM to get a general idea but you should use the number it gives you as a starting point and add/subtract based on the rate of your gains/losses. I did it one month at a time so it was a slow process. If anyone knows of a better way I'm all ears.

Optimum Nutrition is also my pick. 10lb bag sells on Amazon for under $100. Preferably any chocolate flavor. More protein is almost always a good thing.

Are you allergic to everything or are you one of those health-nuts that thinks everything is bad for you in some way? Is Whey protein out of the question? Rice protein?

In one sitting? I believe it was thanksgiving when I ate close to 3000 calories. Mashed potatoes, stuffing, turkey, beef, cranberry sauce, apple cider, etc. When I was younger I would get 6 spicy chicken sandwiches from the $1 menu at Carl's Jr. I would also get 2 footlongs with double meat from Subway. I probably eat more…
