Annie Grace shared this on her AE Facebook page. I thought it was a good read for sure. https://www.babble.com/parenting/mommy-drinking-culture-wine-motherhood/

Hello, all :) Still here hanging tough at day 66 and am in for April. Busy busy doing all the things I was too tired to do when I was plastered :p but I read all the posts and hope we do pick back up. I am cheering you all on, whatever your goals are <3

You didn't sound preachy at all! Inspiring and positive is my take away :-) Jealous of your 75* , spring here and we will be lucky to hit low 40's as a high right now....it's basically still winter! Happy Hump Day, pals. <3

Good morning, you lovely people. It's 26*F here and I am about to head outside to climb some stairs and get some steps in. This would not have happened if I had my usual Friday night. Big love for all of you today staying within your goals. <3 <3

Short article here, but it's so true! http://www.savannahnow.com/entertainmentlife/20180308/hart-to-heart-maybe-mommyjuice-isnt-so-cute

@NormInv look at you being a rock star! You get double points for actually being in the parking lot and talking yourself down :-) @JenT304 I agree with Julie, thanks for posting that video. Knowledge is power! @Stepping18 A very good point about retraining our brain to actually cope with whatever the problem is and not…

My banquet managers bought new wine glasses and they are absolutely huge. I had a guest tell me to pour his glass full (his words were "pour it like you didn't buy it") so I did several times and I watched him just decline. I felt terrible for him...and I was not even AF! So, yes, beware the big glasses!

@salleewins Hugs to you, so very heartbreaking. @JulieAL1969 Your new picture is super cute and I hear ya on the buzzed pic. In my FB profile pic I am half in the bag and I hate it, gotta change that sucker!

Hahaha, all this *kitten* stuff is cracking me up this morning! Also, it took me forever to stop saying "as eff" in my head! On another dry board I am on someone said they were AFAF, so I guess that covers it :-) Happy Sunday to y'all!! <3

I really cannot believe you cannot use the word A s S. Seriously laughing my *kitten* off over here! Now I understand why the word kitten pops up. I wish it was a different word. Kitten makes me cringe!

I did it about a month ago. I was shocked at how awful I felt after the first glass, of course, I kept on going for a few days, because I am an A s S. :D The awareness of how bad I felt was something new, it was nice to be able to view it honestly. I'm not saying it will never happen again, but I for sure know I didn't…

@NormInv That's ok, buddy. You will be back to the dryish side, I am sure :)

Right?

I just got back from Kroger and usually I would either go down the wine aisle and grab a (big) bottle or else I would have to lecture myself to stay away from it. Go figure, today I didn't even think about that aisle. I got all my stuff for lasagna and didn't even think about the red wine I would pretend was for my sauce.…

Looks like I did it again, another weekend with no alcohol. o:) I also lost a couple of pounds in the last 10 days so I guess I will keep this AF train chugging along! Here's to a successful week for us all, no matter what our goals are :)
-
It will have to be a tea in general thread so we can cover my need for kombucha and golden milk tea. ;) I like this much better than that other stuff I was drinking all the time.
-
I love this, it's pink and sparkly, my favorite 2 things! Putting it on my list for this weekend. Thanks so much!
-
Well, hello March, you sexy beast! And hello to all of you lovelies! Wishing us all a successful month, no matter what our goals may be. <3 <3 <3

@NormInv is a babe. Moms know everything ;-)

Well, I had one off week where I slipped up but it was easy to get back in the saddle. I managed to lose almost 9 pounds, but put back 2.5 pounds during my slip...which I am still holding on to :/ It's gotten to be very easy to go through the day and not think about having a drink, which is a shock and a delight! Looking…

@JulieAL1969 Blackout was a good quick read. I saw so much of myself in her, as well. I am still reading Drinking: A Love Story, it's got a lot more "meat" to it. Well, it's a breezy but warm(ish) Sunday morning here in the Motor City. I'd love to take the dog for a walk but I am pretty sure we would get blown away. SO! I…

I feel ya there! We would drink beer every time the Red WIngs played...and hockey is always on! Congrats on your AF days. That is awesome!
-
Ha! I could have written a few of those books! Also, yes, shake your kombucha, but gently because it's a bit fizzy and will explode all over the wall and cupboard...or so a friend told me ;-)
-
Blah! I caved last night. I don't know why though...apparently too much alone time, I need supervision! ;) It wasn't enough to make me hungover, but I still feel like shite just because. Guess I will evaluate that and try to make it a lesson of some sort. I will not drink today. Also, I have lost 8 1/2 pounds since January…

My trigger was was waking up :D I was going to say getting out of bed, but I didn't necessarily have to get out......

Sorry you are having a rough spot, Norm. Do you have any friends or family nearby who don't drink? Someone just to take your mind off of it for a while? ((hugs))

I did. I never really cared for the weed buzz but my husband got me some Kratom to try when I got anxious, I kinda felt like it gave me a buzz like the vicodin I had after surgery. That kind of scared me, but I sure was relaxed and it definitely relieved pain. The FDA is trying hard to ban it, some sites say it is…
