Ignore those comments! It is pure jealousy. You make time to do what is important to you. Good for you for working hard and seeing your results! Great job! Keep up the good work, and thanks for your inspiration!

Thanks for sharing! That sounds awesome! I can't wait to try it.

People who don't know how to drive. People who do everything in their vehicles except drive - talk, text, eat, put on make-up, etc. People who block the fast lane when they drive. People who come to a DEAD STOP before turning right. People who drive slow until you try to go around them, then they speed up. (Do you see a…

1969 Chevy Nova! Awesome car! Had it from 1979 to 1985.

I'll be 52 in May. Since last May, I have lost 47 pounds - basically by eating less and building up to doing about an hour of cardio a day. I still have 42 pounds to go, and I joined MFP in January. I haven't lost anything in a while, but I haven't gained either, so I am thankful for that! The over-50 body is definitely a…

No cheat days! You can have a cheat meal - not the whole day! If you go crazy for a whole day, it will be harder to get back on track and it will slow down your progress! Once you work hard and you see the weight coming off, you will want to "cheat" less. (But, once again, if you stay within your calories/macros you can…

Losing a loved one.

I love to eat out, basically because I hate to cook! My husband and I also don't have children, so it is easy to eat out. I used to look at eating out as a reward, but now I look at it as just "eating." I try to focus on the social aspect of eating out instead of the food itself. (My husband will actually talk to me at a…

I'm 5' 9" and my heaviest was 257 and I am currently 212. My goal is 170, which is very reasonable. I was 170 for about 10 minutes back in 1998, so I would like to get there and stay there this time around! Anything lower would not be good for me.

Be patient. Never let yourself regain weight you have lost. Healthy is more important than thin. Exercise is as much for the mind as it is for the body. Alcohol is not worth the extra calories. Being thin (thinner!) will not automatically make you happier. Enjoy every day - no matter what. Make time for relationships that…

The seafood platter at a local restaurant called Scallops that consisted of a rock lobster tail, 2 pounds of king crab legs, shrimp scampi, grilled scallops, baked potato, vegetable medley, PLUS - New England clam chowder and salad! YUMMMMMMMM! (Expensive but awesome!)

I wear an 11, and I love skechers.

I probably over-cook them, but this is the way my mom taught me: Put the eggs in a pot of cold tap water, and put a small dash of salt in the water. Bring the pot to a rolling boil, then turn down the heat to a mild boil. Set timer for 45 minutes. When done, put the eggs in ice water and let them sit for about 2 hours…

I have lost an elephant's heart, but I want to lose a newborn calf in total! Thanks for the fun!

Your honest post says you are ready to begin again! Forget about the binge and take each day at a time! You can do this! We all fall off, but we don't all get back on - and that is the problem! So, I'm glad you are back on!

My husband will bring things home sometimes, that he knows I no longer want to eat. I used to think there was some sabotage going on because I was losing weight and he wasn't ready to start his weight loss journey yet. Then I realized that he just wasn't thinking and he was just trying to be nice. Once you get it out of…

We all have those days - or we wouldn't be where we are! This is the place to vent, and I am glad you did! Good luck to you!

Thanks for sharing. Every couple is different and works through things differently. I was in severe depression after both of my parents passed away within 4 months of each other. I was on meds for about a year, and they helped me get out of bed every morning and function. I totally neglected my husband during that time,…

I don't know how tall you are, but I am 5' 9" and I didn't have any change in my clothing size until I lost 30 pounds! Don't worry about that part - you are down 16 pounds and the rest will come and the weight will eventually come off of where it is stored! Be patient and continue on your journey! Congrats on being down 16…

Thank you so much for reaching out to all of us. We have all been there. It sounds like you need your "aha" moment - when you are totally fed up and need/decide/want to make the change and fully commit to it. Once you get that moment and commit, it will be easier for you to move forward. You might still eat out of…

Absolutely! The price of fruit and veggies is so high - especially compared to about a year ago! Applies used to be $0.89 per pound, and now they are $1.99 per pound! The climate changes have contributed to the higher cost for fruit and veggies.
