I agree with the "eat more fat" comment earlier. I just finished reading an article about how the two main things that we are told to to do to lose weight - cut out fat and exercise more - are the two things that make people hungriest, and therefore more likely to binge, especially with carbs. The article also talked about…

I have put them into stew with beef and other veggies. I didn't LOVE their flavor but they were alright.

Today I had a toasted English muffin with 1 laughing cow cheese, a sliced roma tomato, and a few slices of turkey lunch meat. Warmed it up for about 15 seconds in the microwave. It was tasty and portable.

I drank a lot of of the Almond Breeze vanilla unsweetened when I was pregnant and had gestational diabetes. It fit into my carb count much better than regular milk and I could stomach it first thing in the morning. To me, it tastes like butter pecan ice cream! I buy it every once in a while now as it is pretty expensive -…

I just tried them for the first time since I had heard so much about them on here. I got the chocolate with chocolate chips. I thought it was good but not wonderful, and not worth the price. I would much rather have a skinny cow bar for my "treat". I may try the vitatops again but only if they are on sale!

I like looking at people's diaries, I just think it is interesting! Especially people that follow different types of diets than mine (ie vegetarian, etc). Plus I get good ideas of new things to try.

You could spray the muffin pan and not use wrappers. I usually do that unless I am sending the muffins to school for snack day or something like that.

Every 3 or 4 days. A week is a little too long for me to wait; a little more frequently helps me make sure nothing crazy is going on!

I know that not eating enough fat can lead to hair loss. Not sure how much fat you eat, you might want to look into it.

Just add a little more olive oil, a few extra nuts, or an extra 1/2 tbsp of pb to your rice cake, and so on....it will add up and you probably won't even notice. Also I wouldn't worry about going over your protein. I always think of my set protein number as a goal, not a limit.

Here is one....I haven't tried it, but have used many other recipes from this website and love it! Now I am curious and will have to try these, too. No-Knead Refrigerator Crescent Rolls This recipe is SO easy! It makes the equivalent of 2 ‘cans’ purchased refrigerated crescent rolls; or use as crescent roll dough base…

I also have been eating all of my exercise calories. I work out 3-4 days a week. The rest of the days, I am on 1200 calories. I have noticed a steady loss so far. And, I hardly ever feel hungry.

What she said! :)

Good! It has a high glycemic index, but the overall calories are so low that it really doesn't matter how those little sugars act.

I posted this today. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/166385-baked-oatmeal I like regular oatmeal, but I do enjoy the baked oatmeal and it definitely has a different texture.

How are you planning to make the chicken? If you are using actual pieces with bones, you can boil them (whole or just the bones), pick off the chicken to eat, strain the rest, then use your "chicken water" to boil the rice in. Add in some onion, carrot, garlic, etc. when you boil the chicken.

Hmm, not sure. I don't think it would be totally mushy, but you might want to try defrosting the strawberries before you put them in.

It is soft, almost like cake. I eat it with a spoon.

I think I may try these today; the kids are already harassing me about a snack! :)

According to various things I have read, it i the sweet taste of the artificial sweetener that triggers the insulin response. That leaves you with insulin in the blood and no sugar to pick up. That makes the body confused, triggering cravings, jitteriness, and other symptoms. This also hinders the burning of fat and can…

I always consider the number for protein to be a goal, not a limit. The opposite goes for fat and carbs.

Different types of potatoes have different proportion of starches and sugars, which would lead to different amounts of calories. That's why some potatoes are better for baking, some better for mashed, etc. Some people will say that potatoes are the devil and you should never eat them (high carb, white, starchy) Potatoes do…

It's coming down pretty hard here (Kansas City). They even closed the kids "snow day care" because they don't want the staff to try to come in. I am just SO thankful that I am not scheduled to work the next few days - as a nurse, snow is unfortunately not an excuse to stay home. The low estimate for the snow here is 10…

Momma of 3 here. My boys are 5 and 3, my little girl is 19 months. I had gestational diabetes with my first 2. Following the required diet was a blessing in disguise - I gained 25/35 pounds respectively. With the first baby I was back to normal weight and then some within 6 weeks - the voracious little beast ate all the…
" What I dont understand is the yogurt. Dairy isnt good for anyone. Calcium can be acquired from so many other foods."
Probiotics are good for everyone. I think that's the main reason yogurt is on the list. edit: can't get the quote thing to work :(

You can look at my diary too, it is public. I have a lot of 1200 cal days and always eat 3 meals plus usually snacks.
