My husband's cousin's neighbor's dog-walker's dentist's brother-in-law swears that you have to start and finish with a 1 gallon double sugar Blastin' Berry Cherry Koo-laid enema or it won't work.

So glad to find this group! I also struggle to not be a obsessed with the scale. Even though I have a great deal of weight to lose, I can't be a slave to the weight scale again. It's just not all about the pounds to me anymore. This time around in my journey to a healthier, happier, *fitter* me, I am tracking more than…

JCPenny has a decent selection of plus size workout clothes in good price range.

I like this. Very true. And you look fantastic!

Congrats!! You have every right to be proud!! What a lot of hard work!!! YAY for you!!!

Me!! I manage a university research lab. I am keeping all my measurements and exercise data in an excel file.

Don't think of it as "OMG, I need to lose 100 pounds". That is just so overwhelming! Think of it in 5% increments, or 5 pound increments. With even 5% you will see health benefits. Think of it in terms of small manageable goals and celebrate each one: "I will drink one more glass of water *today*." "I will walk the the end…

Any fruit, especially strawberries, watermelon, bananas or frozen blueberries. And raw sugar snap peas. Once I start eating those I just can't stop.

Thanks for this!

I like original Fiber One cereal, and mission carb balance whole wheat tortillas, double fiber whole wheat bread. Just some ideas.

My mother is 82 and is not pencil thin, nor is she obese. And she eats a healthy diet. She has been within 10# of the same weight for the last 20 yrs or so. She complained to her Dr a few weeks ago how hard it was to lose weight now and he told her that at 82, she could darned well stop worrying about trying to lose…

I also drink about that much. Unlike the OP, my problem is not the water taking the place of food, it's that I'm not hungry after I workout. I struggle to get my calories in on those days and the day after.

Amazing!! Keep up the good work!!

Forgive me MFP for I have sinned. Sometimes I wear my HRM all day just to see how many calories I burn going about my normal day.
-
Nah, because guys always think it is bigger than it actually is.

Well, I was just thinking yesterday that one of the drawbacks of losing my weight is going to be that I'm eventually going to be small enough to have to share my seat on the bus. And it is starting already. :grumble: Someone sat beside me yesterday *and* today without falling into the aisle.

Only if you break the snickers bar in half, and let the calories fall out.

"I forgot my workout clothes." (My gym actually loans out clean workout clothes.) "They don't have any in my size."

I hate the elliptical. It raises my heart rate too high, even on the lowest setting. I've never been able to do more than 10 minutes without getting really sick.

Thanks for that blog!! I go to zumba at a college campus rec center, and not only am I usually the fattest, I am also the oldest in the class-- old enough to be these kids' mom. I *love* zumba. Most of the instructors I've had are great (and give lots of verbal cues), and the other participants are nice too. Some have even…

WOW!! This is truly amazing!! You both look like a completely different (and much younger) couple!!!! Fantastic!

Are your measurements changing? At a 1200 calories/ day target, you *definitely* need to eat back all your exercise calories.

I am trying to ease back into working out, so my goal for this month is to get to the gym once per week. I try to take more steps every day though. Does that count?

I'm in Cary, and new to MFP, feel free to add me!

Most importantly, invest in a good bra and a good pair of shoes. Yoga pants are the PJs of the gym. Meaning, they and capris are really comfortable and don't give you that inner thigh burn/ ride up that can be annoying or --let's face it-- downright painful with shorts. I wear capri leggings, an oversize t shirt and…

I turned 49 in January and while my ticker reflects a smaller goal, I actually have about 90# more to lose. Feel free to friend me.

Love it! Can't wait to use it!

I agree. I have to set small goals/habits as well. Last month's goal was give up soda for water. It was hard for the first couple of weeks, but now, it is second nature, and my coworkers no longer have to be worried about being mugged for their diet soda. LOL This month my goal is to add a few extra steps every day and…

I just started in January. 12 pounds 5 inches 4% body fat 2 BMI "units" I'm very excited. Even though I can't see a difference in the mirror, it is there.
