Congrats! It truly is a lifelong battle. Your story is all too familiar. It's my turn to bite the bullet as well. Keep up the great work!

Running is my best therapy!

You'll be amazed at how quickly you can progress to the 5k. I started the C25k 2 years ago (when I was 45). I had been walking 3-4 days/week for about 3 months before I started the program. I switched to the 10:1 method of run/walk after about halfway through the C25k though. It has been a better method for me. I've run…

Oh ok. Thanks so much for the info!

Thank you. Unfortunately, I don't have the ANT agent, just the USB stick, so I think I'm forced to use the darn software. I used to be able to upload to runkeeper directly, but that just suddenly stopped working as well a few weeks ago. So annoying!!

You look fabulous! Keep up the hard work. Congrats!

I used the C25k program when I started running, but then I switched over to another method and it has worked great for 5k or even longer distances. I'm in Canada, and it's the method used by the Running Room running groups across Canada. It can be modified for longer distances, but in the 5k running group and works as…

What an amazing transformtation! Congrats on your hardwork! Keep up the great work!

I've lost 50 lbs and people tell me I look 10 years younger. I feel 20 years younger, though, so I guess that's what counts!!

Congrats!

Congrats on your hard work and awesome success!!

Truly an inspiration and an amazing transformation! What a gift you have given to your children -- their mom!! I have recently done the same and it's amazing to have that! Congrats! Keep up the great work!

You could try the John Stanton method of running, which is 10:1 method (run 10 minutes, walk 1). The idea is that you will increase your speed with having the 1 minute recovery periods. In the learn to run class, you start with 5 minutes running, 1 minute walking the first 2 weeks, week 3 and 4 increase to 7 minutes…

Were you in a cast? How long did it take to heal? Are you back to running now?

The rule of thumb is to dress as though it's 10 degrees warmer than the temperature. Once you warm up, you don't want to be overdressed and get overheated. That said, dressing in layers is a good idea. And like one of the previous posters mentioned, it depends on how cold is cold. It's been colder here lately (I'm in…

The pain is on the top of my foot, as is the swelling. I've had plantar fasciitis in the past, and it's definitely not the same pain. I just bought new shoes last week, since I was suspecting that it might have been my shoes, although I've only put about 250 miles on those shoes. In any case, I do agree that an x-ray is…

Congrats on your amazing accomplishment! I'm so happy for you that you were able to persevere and make a full recovery. Definitely not an easy process, but so worth it in the longrun. You're definitely an inspiration to many! Very cool pics btw.

Congrats on your awesome success and continued dedication to your new life!! Such an inspiration!

I would just do it. With circuit training, you won't bulk up for sure. You will tone up and lose inches, but you may not see it on the scales right away. Stick with it. I lost 14lbs and tons of inches doing 30ds.

Water jogging. It's what I did the whole time my hip was injured from running (and probably from wearing flip flops). There's no impact, but you still get a good workout.

That's funny. I've also been asked the same thing. It's funny how disappointed some people are when I answer no pill, just plain old healthy eating and exercise!! They're so disappointed to find out I worked for it!! LOL

Congrats!! I recently became a runner as well. My goals for my first race were similar to yours. I met mine as well, and have run multiple 5k's since May (my first). I'm now running 10k and beyond... that's what I love about running. The sky is the limit!! Keep up the great work!

I just added up all my calories burned from my August report and the grand total was 12,364!!

That's freaking awesome!! I started running in March and have also fallen in love with it. It has been such an amazing way to get in shape and lose weight like I've never been able to before. It has totally reshaped my body and I love it. Congrats on your weightloss, and also on that amazing accomplishment of finishing…

I've gotten that as well from a few people lately. One of them, of course, is my mother. I find it annoying, but also can understand that there may be a small amount of underlying jealousy. I've decided to just nod and smile, but ultimately, like another poster said -- "my body, my rules." I do have a goal weight and I…

So inspiring! Congrats on your awesome success. What a journey you have had.

Awesome results! Congrats on the fantastic transformation!

Miscarriage definitely does not cause infertility. I had 5 miscarriages between child #1 and child #2. I know most doctors won't do any testing before it's been one year of trying to conceive. Have you visited fertility friend website? There is tons of info on that site for trying to conceive. Good luck!

Of course we ALL know that fast food JUNK food is not healthy, nor good for us. Anyone who doesn't is in complete denial about it and wants to continue eating the crap and not owning up to the fact that it is slowly, but surely, going to kill them. I know, because I used to be one of those people. I knew it was bad for me…
