At least two liters, preferably three. I can really notice the difference in how I feel and how my digestive system works if I don't drink enough water. Once you get over 50, hydration is really key to keeping it all "moving". LOL. :)

SERIOUSLY. No uterus, no opinion. :)

I think the most important thing is that they're there working out. I never go to yoga without a little eye pencil and mascara - I look naked without it. AND, I generally run errands right after class and we often go out together for lunch as a class. If I run first thing in the morning I'm bare faced, but if I run in the…

Good luck! That is a great accomplishment and you should be commended.

it's impossible then I just stop and restart the following day. For example - at this Christening party I went to last weekend there was a buffet so I had small bites of what was served (it was all barbecue and those traditional bbq side dishes). There was no way to acccurately account for it so I just threw in the towel…

How does one "accidentally" run 18 miles? Smoke crack before you head out the door? :)

Water. I did the same thing over the weekend. I flushed my system on Monday (ran, ate lightly, and drank a ton of water) and the three pounds was gone the following day.

I'm an early riser - have been since I had kids - and so is my husband. He gets up at 4:30 every morning and works out for two hours before he goes to work. I get up about 5:15 and start swilling coffee because it takes me a while to wake up and I enjoy the quiet. In the summer I run really early to avoid the heat - I like…

1200 calories/day and I don't eat my exercise calories back. 26 pounds gone in 5 months. I run 4 x week and do yoga at least once a week.

And I'm actually getting kind of tired of these self-proclaimed "experts" herein dictating how they think other people should diet and/or train. Everybody is different and every BODY is different. And, let's face it, what works for a man won't work for a woman. And, no offense, I quite frankly know of no woman personally…

I agree - partially. I've lost 26 pounds in 5 months running 4 x a week and doing yoga 1 x a week. I had the same routine for several years but didn't lose a pound unitl I started MFP and cut my food intake. That's the real reason why there are fat runners - they eat far more than any amount of cardio can offset. And if…

I find the closed hip stance of Parsvottonasana really difficult to balance for some odd reason because I'm really good at most balance poses. I always reach down and feel my hip bones at the crest to check for "level" before I fold forward.

Cross trainers or barefoot should cover everything but running. You will go broke trying to buy shoes for all those activities. I took a kettle bell class last summer and was shocked that the teacher instructed us to go barefoot.

I'd get a DIVORCE and a dog! :)

A New Way to Cook Light from the Cooking Light magazine people.

I think there is such a thing as losing weight too quickly; however, I think in order to really go into "starvation mode" you have to actually be starving. I'm only 5'2" and my BMR is just under 1200 calories.

But subtract the fiber for net carbs and it's not a problem.

And the real burner is that the people who report these stories are savvy media types (read wealthy) who probably have wives who also have fancy careers, meaning they probably have NANNIES! LOL. :)

Yes it gets easier but you have to find a form of exercise that you enjoy, that challenges you, and that you can stick to long-term. For me it was yoga. And I had tried - at various time throughout my life - walking, karate, swimming, pilates, dancing, weight lifting, aerobics, etc., etc. Yoga made me fall in love with…

You have some pre-existing issues and should probably see a sports mediciine doctor and have your gait analyzed before you do some serious damage. A running store might not be enough.

Wow. That seems way too fast. It took me five months to lose 25 and I run and do yoga. I hope you're not setting yourself up to rebound. Best of luck.

I quit 30 years ago because I refused to pay 75 cents a pack for cigarettes! LOL. I was a two-pack a day smoker and I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded at the age of 24. So I just quit. Cold turkey. It was hard but every day it got easier. Take it from somebody who did it a really long time ago -…

I hate when plateaus happen. It really messes with your motivation. Congrats for getting over that hump!

Gorgeous!

You should wear a shirt for two reasons 1) sun protection and 2) pervert protection. I'm fairly large busted and run in the Moving Comfort Fiona which comes in lots of pretty colors but I've never seen women wear them alone. Last summer when I ran home from the park in 102 degree heat I peeled off my shirt half way up the…

Old Navy has flip flops for peanuts. Paint your toenails and show off those skinny legs and ankles! :)

On my husband's side there is at least one Aspy. You all know the drill - you suspect there's another but the family won't cop to it or is in denial. On my side, there's my oldest and then my brother's son. So we have it on both sides. I also have probably a half dozen friends with a child on the spectrum. It's really…

My "baby" is 21 and I still have mine. But I assumed it was only a c-section thing. Does this happen to mothers who deliver normally as well?
