  • Personally I find classes less intimating than gym as I don't need to think about it, just follow the instructor (I have no idea what I'm doing in the gym). I'm a huge fan of Les Mills Body Pump, Body Balance and recently tried Body Combat. If you are already fit Zumba might not be enough for you but it is so much fun.…
  • Did (most of) dry January which helped kicked my beer in the evening habit, and now trying to only drink weekends. Now a big fan of vodka + diet coke (50cals per 25ml) and very occasional glass of wine. But I'm a major lightweight so only ever have a few drinks as otherwise I'll be sick!
  • Bit late updating but lost 2lb this weekend :) Managed to keep up my morning work outs even though it was manic deadline week plus three classes in the evenings. Played badminton with friends but that turned into a giggle/gossiping session!!
  • I had no weight loss this week (weekend weigh in) but not beating myself up too much as I worked at 6 times this week including three pre work gym sessions, quite proud of myself :) Had some pretty damn tasty naughty food this week which was worth not losing for!
  • Go to the gym with a mate and walk over to the machines together, pick a low weight and just go for it! Took me months to get the courage to walk over to "that bit" of the gym but after the first few times it's no big deal. My partner says machines are better than free weights when you don't know what your doing as your…
  • Yeah I'm going slowly and gently too, about a 1lb a week, sometimes only half is fine as I'm focussing on building muscle and fitness primarily. 28/01/2017: 134lbs Target for 25/02/2017: 130lbs Ultimate goal: 125lbs
  • I gym about 7 but only for about 30 mins so I have time to shower before work so I can handle it without eating first. At the weekend when I'd gym longer I have to eat an hour ish before or I'll feel sick.
  • Inspired by this tread to be a better girlfriend!! We are both trying to lose weight and gain muscle but yesterday he didn't gym before work because I was too tired and he doesn't drive, didn't swim in the evening instead because I didn't want to and then I made cake. Although he could learn to drive and he could've just…
  • I've started going early morning before work and I've had so much more energy for the rest of the day BUT I'd never get out of bed that early if the boyfriend wasn't turning all the lights on and shouting about gym.
  • I'm 25 from the UK, only 5'2", very new to fitness but starting to love it! Trying to do two early morning gym sessions, one long weekend gym session, two fitness classes and get out with the dog more. Doing a Spartan race in April and very worried I wont be able to handle it! CW: 135lbs / 29% bf GW: 125lbs but with more…
  • I love the idea of a vague overall goal and then specific, small and attainable daily goals which turn into habits! I really struggle to motivate myself into sticking to healthy eating for more than, ohhhh, three days so going to give this way of thinking a go :)
  • Yep same! I like how since last time I tried to use this they have added the reminders like "you haven't logged breakfast yet today, do it now!" Working out twice a day is pretty intense though? Are you raising too bar so high you never meet it? I like baby goals and then working my way up. But then some people like the…
  • My cousin was married to an abusive man and we had no idea until she left him, we thought he was a great guy, the wedding was a fantastic party and he was always welcome to family events. But when we found out it didn't even occur to us to think she was cheeky for having the wedding presents we just supported her. And…
  • I had an amazing weekend with my family and ate so much my stomach hurts!! So worth it, but definitely not weighing myself until after I've not back into my normal routine. Feel happier knowing lots of you guys were naughty this weekend :) Anyone find it hard to go back to being good after they have gone off the wagon?
  • Batman because I really want an Alfred! And I'm sure he'd get on with Bruce Banner just fine but no one gets on with the hulk.
  • http://www.girlonthenet.com/2013/01/05/friend-zone-nice-guys-of-ok/ This article is a little mean and blunt and might not apply to your situation exactly, but might make you chuckle and give you a different viewpoint on the "Friend Zone". FYI, it is on a sex blog so the adverts are NSFW! Your friends are completely right…
  • If I have a party I make sure I clearly state "please BOYB" because there's always someone who wouldn't think to otherwise, and friends have had drama from saying "well we have SOME drinks and mixers" and people then taking the p***. If someone is offended then they're going to be missing out on a good time! For ref I'm…
  • I started this yesterday, found it a lot easier that expected! How are you getting on with it?
