OMG - you should be proud!! You look good.

to meet people at the gym, take a class multiple times. You start the conversation with someone before the class. It takes awhile to fine someone that wants to chat.

Try swimming or a recumbent bike. I have a friend with severe. His doctor recommended those two things. It may work for you.

Where do you shop for petite clothes? I'd love some tips for casual clothes. Also sharing that the consignment stores have fabulous New Year's Eve Dresses that are almost new. I bought a fabulous dress last year that still had the tags on. Sad to say, that was 30 lbs ago so it won't fit this year. ERR, happy about 30 lbs…

I am 5'3" and no one noticed until I lost 20 lbs. Then they really noticed. I told some of my close supportive friends that I was losing weight and showed them how much extra room there was in my waistband. I got positive reinforcement from them. I'll go on to say that at 25 lbs, people I barely knew would stop me to tell…

I'm looking for workout buddies too. I am going through MeetUp to find running groups. I'm trying a couple out to see where there is a good fit. I am also going to the classes at the gym to find a class that I like and social people. My plan is to find a group of people that work out and then get to know them. Love my…

Excellent you are 25% of the way there. Keep up the good work.

Too funny:wink: Yep at first I was glad they were getting smaller. At my highest, they were way to big for me. I felt like they walked into the room before I did. Then it was good. They were just right. And recently they left. They left with the last 5 lbs. They left behind little half filled balloons. What happened??…

I am the OP on this thread. I had no idea it would et this many comments. I am happyy to report that at 122, my thighs don't rub when i walk or run. :drinker: For me, it was never about how it looked. It was always around comfort. Special thanks to my MFP friends who suggested compression shorts until I got to this point.…

I'm in my 50's. I lost 22 lbs between Jan and June. I'm now down 28 lbs. and down to 122 at 5' 3". I'm also running 6 miles 3 times a week. My next step is to start strength training. When I am on plan, it's been about 0.5 lbs a week. I think it has to do with smaall people with less weight to lose have to go slower. Best…

i weigh everyday fitst thing in the am after peeing and in the nude. I record the lowest weight f the week. I go out to eat on weekends and then retain water due to the salt even if I stay on plan calorie wise. Weighing everyday helps me form a habit and mentally reminds me to plan what //i eat for the day. Picking the…

I do 5 lb goals. I celebrate with a non-food reward. I lose slowly so it takes time to reach each of my goals. 1 more lb before I get to my 5th goal. My rewards are things like new pants because the old ones won't stay up, new running shorts, and so on. It works for me.

bump vegetarian meals - yummy!!!

Now the good part, only 9.4 lbs to go and then I get to buy all new pants :) I also had the problem that I can now fit into some of my old clothese but they are way out of style. Time to toss those pants.

Way to go, keep on swimming

I hope you feel better soon. Try herbal tea. My plan when I am sick is to drink about 6 cups of it. It slows down my eating of comfort foods.
-
I like frozen skinny cow fudge treats. 100 calories each.

Thanks for sharing

Awesome!!! Keep swimming Cheer!!!:drinker:

Check out runners world.com It has advice for shin splints. I would think you should slow down until your shins recover.
