  • Shall I have a mudslide with ice cream or a grasshopper with ice cream? I'll have this on the terrace. In real life, I have a sore throat. Craving something cold and soothing.
  • Looking for Thanksgiving ideas. Just get too hungry. Need to wait until after I eat
  • I'm 5'3" and weigh about the same. I walk 4 miles a day. I'm eating 1200 calories a day and have lost 1 lb a week for the last 4 weeks.
  • congrats
  • IRL, it's getting frosty overnight. After our heat wave of 107 this summer, I'm ready for cooler days. I'm going to the cafe and just having ice cream.
  • It's hard, no doubt about it. I do all of the things mentioned above. I often get a salad entree with grilled chicken and dressing on the side. I dip my fork a little way into the dressing and then stab the salad. My other choice is a vegetarian omlette with salad instead of potatoes. The other is portion control. Some…

  • I'm hitting the hot tub. I'll order a slushy pinot.
  • Happy Birthday zzyyggy. Today is Veterans Day. I was going to take hubby out for Thai food but changed it to lunch. We shared a bowl of soup and a chutney salad wrap. So at the Cafe, I'm having Thai with carryout for hubby. IRL, hubby is so supportive.
  • Congratulations on being down 30 lbs.
  • The serious side effects are rare but terrible. You also have to take the shots forever if you can't change your eating habits. It is expensive
  • IRL, the weather here is great for walking with fleece; went for a 3 mile walk. Lunch was spinach salad with chicken, feta, red pepper etc. Stepping into the Cafe for a mud sludge on the patio.
  • I'm back, it is cool and windy outside. How was the mac and cheese IRL? I had chickpea posole last night IRL. (In Real Life). Contemplating laying in the sun for awhile.
  • Congratulations 🎊
  • Congratulations 🎊
  • Hi all, I'm looking for a recommendation on what group to join. I'd like something that is about 50% weight loss and 50% chatty. I regained 20 lbs since the last time I was on MFP, sigh. I walk about 4 miles a day. I do about an hour of mild exercises each day for my shoulder (In PT, post surgery) Any recommendation?
  • Hi Lindaz and zzyyggy, I just tumbled in from the cold. It's nice and warm in here with lots of sunshine. I'm going to sit in the sunroom next to the indoor pool. Please send the pool boy over to take my order. Trying to decide what kind of a drink with an umbrella I'll have. Of course I have to have pizza and a glass of…
  • Try brushing your teeth before the witching hour.
  • @Antiopelle , are you doing the Beck Diet Solution? I may pick that back up in February again. I've lost 20 covid pounds in 2022. One thing that worked for me was to log my weight everyday in a word document and then reflect back on how the day went (food and exercise wise). Taking the time to reflect back helped me think…
  • My January Goals: - Continue with shoulder rehab in January. I should be over the hump by the end of January. I'll evaluate how to get back in shape then. - Be able to put my own hair in a pony tail. Hubby has to do it now and he's not the best. It's passable. - I'm going on maintenance in January. I need to get back into…
  • @kdmontgo215 I hope this group can provide the support you want. Any idea what your challenges were over the last 3 months.
  • It sounds like you are using meat and protein interchangeably. There are a lot of plant based proteins such as beans and tofu. Also not all meat is the same. Most experts say cut out processed meat such as bacon or bologna. Next cut read meat out. Chicken and fish are better meats to eat. I also agree with other posters…
  • Happy New Years. I dropped off this group when I found out I had to have shoulder surgery. It's been rough. I'm 4 weeks post op but I've decided I need to get back into other parts of my health. I only gained a pound in the last 2 months, which is a minor miracle. Exercise is a few months out. So I'm here to pay attention…
  • @SherryRueter No Kitten month, I like it. @Antiopelle bummer on the cholesterol. It runs in my family but I didn't get that gene. Congrats on losing a kilo! I looked it up a kilo is 2.2 pounds for us Americans. @CeeBeeSlim congrats on losing 2 lbs Welcome @f1tafter40! I was feeling stressed yesterday. I had to take myself…
  • So sorry your father was a jersey. Hope you don't mind me saying so.
  • I used to weigh 125 and fit in the clothes in my closet. I didn't do well with covid and gained a ton of weight. I'm 130 now and hoped that getting to 125 would work.
  • Hello all and a Happy November. I lost 5 lbs in October. (Yippee). My goal is another 5 by Christmas. I'll hold tight through the holidays and reevaluate in January. I want to fit into the clothes in my closet. I'm not sure another 5 lbs will do it. I think 10 lbs would do it. How are you doing on your fitness goals? Where…
  • It is certainly interesting to see how people lose weight. I'm 5 lbs from my goal. I don't think I will be as thin as I was the last time I weighed that amount. Oh well. I plan to lose 5 lbs and hold tight through the holidays. I'll reevaluate in January. I do have an outfit for NYE that I'd like to fit into.
  • @SherryRueter thanks for the snack ideas @CeeBeeSlim WTG on the clothes fit. Off to town to people watch. Hallloween is huge in our town. Adults and children get dressed up. I'll keep my hands in my pockets so no one can hand me candy.
  • Hmm, I think you should listen to your doctor who has seen you vs. People on MFP that haven't seen you
