Getting More People On GOAD
I saw a post where some of you would like to get more members on GOAD, like the old days on WW. Some of the other groups post an invite for people to come join them under the open categories; specifically Success Stories and Motivation Support. Since there are a lot of newbies, returnees in Jnuary, you could try it to see…

4 lbs = 1 inch off your waist? 8 to 10 lbs = 1 dress size?
Google says - A study found that volunteers lost 1 inch off their waist for every 4 lbs they lost - 8 to 10 pounds is 1 dress size. Just curious what is your experience? Of course it varies from person to person

When did people notice that you lost weight that didn't know you were working on it?
So when did people notice that you were working on it? For me, 20 pounds before a neighbor said something very nice. My close friends know because I askedfor their support. Hubby knows since I really need his support. And you?

Rewards for Weight Loss?
Do you reward yourself when you hit a big milestone but still have more to go? If so what do you have in mind? A trip, massage, jewelry, mani/pedi, cheap new clothes that you don't mind if you shrink out of them? Definitely not a food reward, that's part of how I got here in the first place.

Does anyone have a good source for weight loss psychology?
I like the idea of weight loss psychology but I don't want to pay for Noom. Anyone find another source that they like?

Covid Weight
How many of you gained weight during the last two years due to covid restrictions? How are you doing at losing it? Did you get covid? I sure gained weight over covid. I ate because I was bored and stuck at home with the kitchen. Now I'm down to my highest pre-covid weight. 15 more to get down to my goal weight. Nope…

Eat like a thin person and what else?
We all know weight loss is more than eat less. There is a psychological component to it. I'm trying to eat like a thin person when at happy hours, pot lucks and buffets. Those are some of my challenges. I'm going to look around at the thin ladies to see what they eat and do that. What do you do to help you keep your head…

FAO MisterHub - Noom
Just curious about your experience with Noom. Like you, I have had a long time association with WW and have read alot about weight loss. Did you learn anything new with Noom? Did the coaches help? I think there isn't much new about weight loss but I wonder if the coaching and the articles just give you a little boost. TIA

What diet tips work for you? Let's share
Besides logging, weighing, measuring and exercising. What diet tips do you use that work for you? I order a salad with dressing on the side. I dip my fork into the dressing and then spear some greens. I get a small taste of dressing but not too much.

Best tips for potlucks please
I'm looking at my social calendar for the next 3 weeks. It is full of potlucks and "bring a hearty appetizer and a bottle to share". The good news is that I get to bring a "healthier, lower cal" dish. I could use your best tips for keeping my eating under control at these types of events. TIA

Lower sodium substitutes for tamarii
Anybody have a lower sodium substitute for tamari? I'm very salt sensitive and weigh 1- 2 lbs more after having something with sodium in it like tamari. The weight goes away in a day or so, but it's frustrating to have the scale go up that much. It's probably not good for my blood pressure either. TIA

Why Smoothies?
I started WW back in the dark ages. I always heard eat your calories don't drink them. For the last few years, I've heard lots of people adding in smoothies with their weight loss program. I know some people do it to get more vegetables when they don't like to eat them. (I like vegetables and I like to chew.) Fruit…

Why Smoothies?
So why do people that are trying to lose or maintain their weight drink smoothies? I've always heard that you shouldn't drink your calories (except wine of course). I'm sure there is logical reason for this. Is it because they can get a lot of fruits and vegetables down without having to chew? I personally like to chew.…

Message board question - should your SO be able to tell you to lose weight?
Should your Significant Other, family member or very close friend be able to tell you to lose weight? Under what conditions? I saw this question on the message board and thought it might be worth discussing here. My first reaction was heck no. But then I thought about Jim who said his son was the one to give him a push to…

what was for dinner last night?
I get in a meal rut. I'm always on the lookout for simple healthy meals. What did you have last night for dinner? I had a big bowl of homemade lentil soup with vegetables and a side of steamed asparagus. Asparagus is surprisingly cheap right now and my favorite vegetable.

Cauliflower pizza crust is not Shendler Pie
Some of you may remember the Shendler Pie episode from years back on WW. I'll let someone else tell that story if they like. However, after Cindy talk about eating zoodles, I thought I should try the MFP cauliflower crust pizza. Pizza is my favorite food in the world. We have vegetarian pizza and reduce the cheese but I…
