Hi, Zzyyggy and Vicky. Zzyyggy, I can see why you’re tired tonight. You had a busy day. A beautiful evening out on the terrace will be very restful. I love the lights in the koi pond and the little bridges over the pond are perfectly placed for watching the koi fish. I had a friend who had a koi pond that meandered through the front her property. (They owned a big piece of property.) She and her sons put it in themselves. There were walking paths through the garden and little bridges. It was amazing.

It’s so nice and warm out here on the terrace tonight, I ordered something a little more tropical—key lime pie and my favorite iced tea with mini scoops of lemon sorbet.

Hi ladies. Today is my birthday so Francois I'm going to have the prime rib dinner with baked potato, salad, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a chocolate brownie with chocolate ice cream, and chocolate sauce, and an iced mocha. Igor set up the birthday decorations out on the terrace. We had a perfectly sunny day here in the real world but it was cold with a cold wind. Got in a walk (I walked up to my favorite cookie shop, and got some cookies), and got the rest of my goals done. Viktor has set up a tray of chocolate bars, and peanutbutter chocolate cups.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZZYYGGY! (Viktor says I have to get off the table NOW!) I ordered the birthday dinner and it was delicious. I like my brownie sundaes with fudge sauce, preferably not hot. Luckily, Francois stocks the freezer with Harris Teeter’s Truly Chocolate all natural ice cream, so we know it’s the best. I’m wishing you the happiest birthday month, too.

I’m not sure I could have a cookie shop nearby. I love cookies. I love cookies more than anything. It could easily become an addiction. Anyway, ta da, Viktor ordered more cookies from your favorite cookie shop, just for your birthday celebration. 🥳

Hi Linda, the one thing about that cookie shop is that they are expensive, but worth it, so it's a once a month thing for me, and yes they do have the monster m&m cookies. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the Sunday roasted chicken dinner with stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, dinner rolls and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. Today is getting cloudy and colder. Rain is coming across the lake. I've been resting and watching tv most of the day. Linda, I've gone to people one health. The trackers have gotten a lot better, but theres still not a whole lot of community so I'll come back here for that. I'm not really thrilled about the MFP trackers.

Zzyyggy, dessert sounds good. I asked Sweetie what he wanted for dessert and he said apple pie with vanilla ice cream. That’s what I ordered, too. I’m so tired tonight. We spent hours at the hair salon. I was freezing, of course. It was 65 degrees outside and it was warmer outside than in the salon. Brr.

I love watching rain coming in across the lake. We lived at a lake when I was a child. I miss watching the snow fall and ice skating. And I miss seeing the Christmas lights across the lake reflecting on the ice.

We can always go back to People One Health. I haven’t been there for a long time. I’ll have to check it out again. I’ll miss the cybercafe. Oddly enough, I find it satisfying enough to order dessert at the cybercafe that I don’t crave dessert IRL.

Hi Linda, theres no place to set up a separate line like this. It's all one big line called the watercooler. I just go and use the spark coach check in, my fitness minutes, and jot down how I've been feeling. They still have a lot of the recipes though, and spark points which I kind of like. They do have teams. I just spent the day deep cleaning 2 rooms, moving furniture, and dusting, and vaccuuming underneath stuff. I also went for a short walk this morning, and did 3 loads of laundry. To say I'm tired is an understatement. I could go for the diner fried chicken platter with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, and a coca cola. Lots of dinner rolls with that. For dessert I'll have a slice of blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I'll eat inside by the fire place. Igor has the dining room decorated with hay bills, corn stalks, and turkey's for Thanksgiving.

    Happy Birthday zzyyggy.

Today is Veterans Day. I was going to take hubby out for Thai food but changed it to lunch. We shared a bowl of soup and a chutney salad wrap. So at the Cafe, I'm having Thai with carryout for hubby.

    IRL, hubby is so supportive.

Yes, Vicky, let’s remember to thank our veterans for their service.

Zzyyggy, just reading about your day made me tired. It’s almost Thanksgiving and I need to start doing a deep cleaning, too. And I was hoping we would be able to be outside on the back deck at Thanksgiving. It would be nice to serve appetizers or even dessert out there, but it looks like the weather will be too chilly. I can still open the door to the deck and bring in some fresh air if it doesn’t rain.

I do really need to go Spark. That brings me back to what Vicky said. Yes, it’s really great to have a supportive husband or supportive family. Sweetie is wonderfully supportive as long as I’m seriously pursuing my diet and exercise goals. However, he’s more than willing to fall off the rails with me. I know it’s up to me. I’m sure you all heard my sigh. I’ve been taking some time off after having surgery and have been far too indulgent. Today was the first day I haven’t had a vertigo episode in months. I guess that means no more excuses. I did my upper body strength training exercises yesterday and I think that really made a difference.

Francois made macaroni and cheese with lots of vegetables and a very fancy name—it’s all just macaroni and cheese. It was delicious. I had one of those monster cookies from your cookie shop, Zzyyggy, 😋. It’s so nice sitting by the fire this evening. Viktor will be here momentarily with my coffee and more drinks for everyone.

Hi ladies, Vicky, thank you for the birthday wishes, Linda, it is nice to have support with family but sometimes that isn't enough. That's one of the reasons I love going to the Y. They whole staff is supportive especially the front desk when you go in, and see the same people every day. It takes awhile but sometimes you have to find your own little supportive niche. We can also be it here in the cyber cafe. Go Linda Go. I'm going to have the macaroni and cheese without all the veggies though with bread , butter, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some of those monster m&m cookies, and an iced mocha. I'll enjoy the nice warm tropical air out on the terrace. It looks like our Thanksgiving weather will be seasonable in the real world. 20s to 30s.

I'm hitting the hot tub. I'll order a slushy pinot.

Hi, Zzyyggy. Eek, I don’t think serving Thanksgiving dinner outside is a good idea in Vermont! Our autumn weather is so variable with temperatures anywhere from the mid 50’s to the mid 70’s. It seems to me, more often than not, the sun is shining on Thanksgiving and it’s raining on Christmas.

You mentioned monster M&M cookies. YES! Viktor, coffee and cookies, please.

Vicky, Francois is sending Viktor out with little munchies just for you while you relax in the hot tub.

Hi Ladies, Vicki the hot tub sounds really good right now. It's cold around here in the real world. The sun was out so I went for a long walk this afternoon with my sister and had hot cocoa at Lake Champlain chocolates. Also got a couple of other things done. I'm starving. For dinner I'm going to have a big plate of spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread and butter, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some brownies and an iced mocha. Eeek it's already dark out here in the real world. I'm going to eat on the terrace in the cyber cafe and enjoy another sunset. Maybe a bonfire and s'mores are in order. Linda, we have had Thanksgiving outside in Vermont. Way back when I was a kid my dad would cook the turkey in the the smokey joe out at our camp and it was mild enough for us to eat on the deck. I miss those days.

It was cold here, too, Zzyyggy, although it was 20 warmer in Charlotte than Vermont. Hey, when temperatures stay in the mid 50’s it feels cold to me. That’s our typical winter weather. I was planning on German chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream icing for dessert, but that might be too much if we have s’mores later. S’mores with hot chocolate sounds wonderful to me. I made chicken and one of my favorite vegetable salads for dinner tonight IRL and I’m considering having more salad for dessert.

The sun has set now and the temperature has dropped into the 40’s. I’m ready to sit by the fire in the cybercafe’s Club Room and read my book until it’s time for s’mores.

Hi Linda, wow the the sun has set here, and our temps are 39 degrees, but it felt colder out. It was a nice sunny day all day, and I did get outside, but just for a bit. I didn't really feel like doing much today. For dinner tonight I would love a bacon cheeseburger with onion rings, and a root beer. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream with chocolate sauce and an iced mocha. I'll eat dinner on the terrace again enjoying the warm tropical sunshine, and the view of the ocean.

Zzyyggy, it was cold today—the temperature stayed in the 40’s. I didn’t venture outside. I ordered the chicken and gravy with biscuits tonight. Francois also made roasted root vegetables that were delicious. It’s been lovely sitting out here on the ocean side terrace for dinner. The sunset is always beautiful over the ocean. Now that it’s later in the evening I’ll head inside to sit by the fire and have some coffee and German Chocolate cake with white icing.

Hi Linda, It was cold here as well today but the sunshine was gorgeous. I didn't get out either. I'm going to have fried scallops, french fries, cole slaw, and a coca cola with this. For dessert I'll have some apple crisp with vanilla ice cream, and an iced mocha. I'll eat on the terrace tonight and enjoy the warm tropical sunshine again. I think Winter is finally coming.

Zzyyggy, we’re back in the mid 60’s today through Wednesday and then the temperature will drop back into the 50’s. It’s supposed to be really nice weather for both Saturday and Sunday. Since the high is going to be 57 degrees on Thanksgiving (too cold to sit outside) I’m debating whether I should go ahead and wash the furniture on the deck. Saturday’s forecast says it’s going to be sunny, so the furniture will dry and we could go ahead and put the winter covers on. Because there are still lots of leaves on the trees, Sweetie will probably be mowing the lawn and blowing leaves to the curb.

Viktor, Zzyyggy’s apple crisp dessert looks delicious. I’d like mine with vanilla ice cream, too, please. Oh, and coffee, mustn’t forget coffee.

Hi Linda, we're back in the 50s today. That's warm for us. My apartment was 78 degrees all day without the heat on. I'm ordering fans to help out until the AC gets put back in for next year. Now it's cooling down a little with the sun going down. Didn't get much done today. It was a rest day but I sat outside for a bit twice. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the prime rib dinner with baked potato, salad, a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies, and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace again.

Hi, Zzyyggy. At least a sunny day in winter will be nice and toasty in your apartment. In the last house we owned, we had a corner bedroom that faced south on one wall and west on the other with no trees for shade. I ended up putting up blinds and heavy tapestry curtains I found at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. It made a big difference. The curtains also helped keep the room warm in the winter. We lived at the top of a big hill where the wind was always blowing. I miss the wind so very much. We put a fan in the bedroom, too. That helped.

If I order an iced mocha with a scoop of coffee ice cream and a scoop of chocolate ice cream is that considered an iced mocha float? Whatever it’s called, I’d like one of those. It’s the perfect evening to sit out under the stars and enjoy the full moon.

IRL, it's getting frosty overnight. After our heat wave of 107 this summer, I'm ready for cooler days. I'm going to the cafe and just having ice cream.

Hi Ladies, Gorun2 its cold around here as well, and getting dark early in the real world. Linda, I'm starting to think I need shades around here. I have blinds which I lower in the mornings to block out the light. It's suppose to colder here later in the week. I just ordered fans so that's about typical. For dinner tonight I would love the Sunday roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, dinner rolls, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a slice of blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. It sure is getting dark out there.

Hi, everyone. I came in for dessert. We had our roast beef dinner last night and unstuffed cabbage this evening. 😋 I figured I’d see what Francois had for dessert in the bakery case here at the cybercafe. I ended up ordering Betty’s chocolate pecan pie bars and a pot of coffee for dessert. Let’s go sit in the Club Room. Igor has a fire going. We can play gin rummy.

Hi Linda, that was fun last night. I haven't played gin rummy in ages. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the fried chicken platter with mashed potatoes, gravy, and peas. A coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have some brownies, and an iced mocha. It started out mild this morning, but got cold, and rainy in the afternoon. I did get a walk and swim in. I'm pooped and hungry.

Hi, Zzyyggy. Sounds like you had a busy day. It was quiet here. I’ve started going through all the stuff we set aside to look at or deal with later. Later has arrived. Now if I can just remember why I set it aside in the first place. 🤔 In fact, I’m not sure where some of this stuff even came from.

Francois has been testing a new recipe for pumpkin ginger cake. I’m his taste tester this evening (I wish). He might need extra help. Here’s Viktor with my coffee.

This cake is delicious. Do taste testers get to lick the plate? 😋

Hi Linda, licking the plate and bowl is all apart of the testing. Another busy day for me with walking and swimming. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the meatloaf platter with mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, and dinner rolls. A coca cola as well. For dessert I'll have some of that cake, it looks good with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace and enjoy some of the tropical sunshine, and warmth out there. The real world has turned cold at 46 degrees, and it's getting colder.

Hi, Zzyyggy. Mm, coffee, cake, and ice cream—that’s exactly what I am going to order. Sweetie has fallen asleep in his chair after making a delicious dinner. We had chicken cooked with onions and sundried tomatoes. Then he made parsley potatoes as a side. I do cook, but, fortunately, Sweetie decided to take over this evening. I’ll definitely join you on the terrace for dessert, Zzyyggy.

Hi Linda, we had a mostly cloudy and rainy day here in the real world. It was cold as well. I did get in a swim and a walk though. I had to use the lap pool though. All kinds of kids were in the program pool having a ball. I'm starving tonight. I'm going to go for some baked ziti with garlic bread and string beans with lots of butter. A coca cola to drink. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream with chocolate sauce, and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace and enjoy the warm tropical sunset. I can hear all the evening noises coming from the jungle. It's a good thing theres a fence between us and that jungle.

Shall I have a mudslide with ice cream or a grasshopper with ice cream? I'll have this on the terrace. In real life, I have a sore throat. Craving something cold and soothing.

Hi, Zzyyggy and Vicky. Zzyyggy, did the kids have off from school today or did you go swimming later in the afternoon? Vicky, I’m sorry you have a sore throat. Something cold to eat would be perfect. You’ve reminded me about grasshopper ice cream parfaits. When I was a child we had an aunt and uncle that would take our family out for dinner at their country club for Christmas. My uncle would always order a grasshopper ice cream parfait for me because he knew that chocolate chip mint ice cream was my favorite. He also knew my mother disapproved, especially because it had Creme de Menthe in it. Scandalous! It was a wonderful treat, not just because of the parfait, but because my parents didn’t take us out to eat at restaurants very often, although my grandmother would take us out to lunch, one at a time, for grandma-granddaughter luncheons. She was the best grandmother ever (we only had the one).

Viktor, I definitely want a grasshopper ice cream parfait, please. Sweetie wants to order apple pie topped with ice cream and caramel sauce, with a to-go order of pumpkin pie for breakfast. Ah, it’s nice out here in the jungle tonight. Oh, gee, I’m going to have weird dreams tonight.

    Linda,
So funny that you had alcohol as a child. some people think that you have alcohol as a child, you will grow up to be a drinker. I have noticed that you and ZZYYGG have cola instead of alcohold in the cafe

yes, I read that it was just a tiny bit in the parfait.
