First - CONGRATULATIONS - a 56 pound weigh loss is AWESOME! Second, in my experience you cannot burn fat and build muscle at the same time. I assume you already know that losing weight is 90% about what you eat and 10% about how you exercise, right? Problem occurs when you begin losing weight your body wants to lose muscle…

I used to feel the same, then i found some fitness classes i liked. Now I feel motivated by being around these sweaty people. I used to hate exercise - now, I get cranky if I go more than two days without some form of heavy breathing. Ps, meditation also works on stress.

Starting Weight 185? YOU LOST 41 pounds to date!!!! you are a Rock Star!!!! is exerise hard- welll- yes and no! it is freakin hard when you try to make up ground all at once - success is built on small wins over time- you have to push yourself but yuo don't have to kill yourself. Progress requires consistency - for me that…

most people think that and are wrong. Cardio helps, and has tons of other benefits, but nothinng beats managing your eating habits. Look up intermittent fasting as an option - chat with the other folks here about what works for them.

BCAA are branch chained amino acids- these are protein supplements generally used by body builders and people trying to build muscle. Same for glutamine and some creatine Monohydrate.

@Brige2269 I haven't been doing this long, but one of things i deal with are my habits. Like when i think "ok, it's noon I should eat". then i have to think "am I really hungry?"- and Sometimes I am not hungry - but a part fo my brain keeps saying"yeah, but its time!" Sometimes I force my self to go too low on the…

sometimes I need a late night snack to- I am trying to make it a protein snack instead of any carbs. If I do have snack, next day I try to walk 10 minutes extra. I find if I am very hungry a 15 minute walk also helps. as a suggestion, consider going from 12-8 for your window. and then try to change your sleep schedule to…

You have been bombarded with fast food advertising your whole life. Your body is used to excess sugar, excess salt, excess fat- and non natural chemicals designed to keep you hungry and coming back for more. You need to re-educate your body on natural foods. It takes a couple weeks to break the habit - and i wont kid you -…

was there a triggering event that started the issues? Assuming you practice good form and use a trainer to check every once n a while , right? going light for a while is not a bad thing. use light weights and supper slow motion I had a good experience using a massage therapist.

how long before the hunger pangs stop? during the fast times- i assume you drink water- what about tea? also - assume no alcohol during fast.. correct?
-
your right- you can't add in exercise calories. But you can add exercises- use the tab next to food and look up the type of exercise you did. The calories will automatically be added into your daily count.

Some of the articles say low carb high fat has not impact on blood cholesterol- wondering if any of you had your cholesterol checked?

change is hard - but you have enough life experience to know the best things in life take work and focus. Maybe it is harder than it used to be, but you are tougher and more focused than you used to be. Lots of ideas here - and tons of support- you just need to reach out and choose to participate.

MFP does not seem to award any calories for strength training. when I strength train I do 5 min warmup 6 exercises, 4 sets of 8 reps each - one minute between sets. 20 min HIT routine. I am seating all through this and a wet rag by the time I finish the HIT- but MFP doesn't count? >:)
