Feel free to add me. I am 44 and I needed to lose 30lbs and did it. Albeit I am sure a few pounds were added over the holidays. I started last January and was able to shed 30 lbs by mid July. I tracked everything I ate and bought myself a food scale (which is now my best friend). I am always here for support and advice…

Hi everyone. Would love to have some more maintenance friends. I am trying to lose one pesky pound before upping my calories to maintenance. I have lost 30-33 lbs and will give myself a 5lb leeway. I try to eat healthy, I don't cut anything out. My food scale is my best friend (my weight scale...not so much...ha ha). I do…

Sounds delish and I also would like to know how many servings this makes? Is it 1 cup per serving? Thanks!

Thanks for sharing..keeping this recipe. That aioli could work for so many things. Yum!

Love, love reubens and I love slow cooker soups, best of both worlds and healthy too! Thanks for sharing.

Beyond inspiring...WOW, what a come back and you can see the "joy" in your face. Thanks for sharing your story...it made my Friday ;)

First, don't get discouraged. Remember the scale is only PART of this journey. It is how we feel, how our clothes feel, the new found energy we have, etc. How long have you been at this and was this 4 lb gain a weekly gain, a gain in a month? Our scales can up and down like a freaking yo-yo just in a day! It could be water…

Every morning, as soon as I get up and use the little girl's room and in the buff. I put the scale in the same spot every time. I only record on MFP on Friday's, but I use an app to record the daily weights to see the overall trend. Each person is different, but if you are going to really stress over the daily fluctuations…

Love Laughing Cow...thanks for all the great tips!

My first long trip was last year through the Canadian Rockies and I did with a Suzuki S40 650 and it was great, and I was nervous just like you. While it did make me realize I wanted to upgrade (my husband rides a Suzuki V-Strom and now ride a Honda Shadow Phantom), I had no problems touring on the bike and it handled the…

I am a food scale addict ;) I weigh everything...in fact (and you can laugh), I put my wine glass on the scale, zero it out, and then pour and measure the ounces. My DH is totally supportive of me and does weigh foods when he is cooking. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for me being totally accountable of what I…

I weigh myself everyday but I only record once a week, same time, same scale (ALWAYS). I do it when I get up, go to the bathroom and I weigh in the buff. Your weight will go up/down due to TOM, water weight, something you just ate, etc. It is the long term goal. I know that if I have treat meal, the scale won't be the same…

Hi everyone! Great group :) I am 43, 5' 5", currently residing in Courtenay, BC, and have been going at this since January. It says I joined in 2013 and I did but it wasn't until this January that I got off my *kitten* and decided enough is enough. I am NOT going up another pant size :) SW: 157.2 CW: 138.0 GW: 130.0 I…

I call them TREAT days. Yes, I have them and they really help me stay on track. I usually have them on a Friday or Saturday where I am a little bit more relaxed but I still don't go over board and I record everything, even if I have to guesstimate and add quick calories. Also, I am not dieting, I am changing my lifestyle…

I would suggest you carry bottled water with you in the car, purse, etc. and maybe take some healthy snacks that you can carry with you so that if you are hungry you have something on hand. Also, if you are eating out, there are a lot of healthy options out there. For example if I order a salad I always ask for the…

I am 5'5 and started at 157 (my heaviest was 160) and aiming for 130 with maintenance between 130-135. No set time frame as this is a life change and I set small goals at 5 lb intervals :) and each time I treat myself. For exercise I have been using my Fitbit and walking as much as I can. After Easter I plan to add in 30…

I am on everyday and have not once considered this journey a diet, but a life change. Please feel free to add me for support, advice and, of course, the high fives for every thing we accomplish. Cheers!

We are on Vancouver Island and while some people ride year-round we save money by storing ours for 4-5 months (darn BC insurance). LOL, we store our in our garage so we can at least say hi to them everyday ;) So this weekend we put our plates back on the bikes. I just got my accessories for my new baby which I will do this…

Welcome to the 40's ;) We can all do this with determination, support and motivation. Since I started I have not said I am on a "diet" (evil word), but I am changing my eating habits and I love it. I also am walking for my exercise (very thankful for my dog and my FitBit), but plan to add the 30-day shred in a week's time…

Originally from Ontario, lived in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and now Vancouver Island. Love our country! Feel free to add me for support and encouragement during this weight loss journey, which I am loving ;) Have a great weekend everyone!

Before I started this journey, I could easily drink 3-4 glasses of wine a night...I truly love my wine and cosmos! But now I am accountable for everything I eat and drink. During the weekdays I either don't drink or have a nice glass of wine with dinner and I count it. My weekends, I will have a bit more, but, again, I…

One of my staples for the crockpot is Three Bean and Pork Slower Cooker Chili by WW. I love it! We always had more jalapenos for more heat. Very filling and so good for you. http://www.weightwatchers.com/food/rcp/RecipePage.aspx?recipeid=95051 Going to try some of the recipes posted here. Thanks everyone.

I swear by this method and use it ALL the time. If you have a plug-in kettle with an automatic shut-off: Put the eggs in the kettle (as many as you want or will fit) Fill the kettle with water to cover the eggs. Turn your kettle on and let boil. Once it shuts off automatically, set a timer for 15 minutes. As soon as the…
