  • Feel free to add me, too! http://www.fitbit.com/user/2GSPRQ
  • Day one: DONE. Kicking *kitten* and taking names. :) Hope all is well for the rest of you!
  • Feel free to add me... I try to log daily and be a motivational force. I'm kind of in the same boat you are with wanting to lose ~70 lbs. Good luck!
  • I started it a couple years back and continued on to try to train for a marathon (ended up tearing something in my hip and had to go to PT & stop running). It starts you out gradually (e.g. first workout: Brisk five-minute warmup walk. Then alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20…
  • Left overs! Made chicken enchiladas with quinoa the other night.... delicious!
  • Hi all! I have similar stories to llabruce4 and eliemaalouf4 and am looking for support (and to support others also). I started out a few years back around 180 lbs... from there life has been rough and stress eating has landed me to 245. It's been quite a challenge to get my mind set to the point that I'm tired of living…
  • I had jogged a lot before training for the marathon and was actually at the skinniest I had ever been... had gotten myself to running 5 miles and then had to put an abrupt end to it. I've gotten wayyyyy out of shape since then.
  • I've got a horrible sweet tooth. Been trying to find something to curb it. Seems like a teaspoon of honey is working whenever I get that after dinner craving.....
  • SW: 245 CW: 245 GW: eventually back to 170 :) Weigh in Dates: 1/1: 245 1/8 1/15 1/22 1/28 End of Month (or whatever weigh in days you use) Total weight lost: 0 What major exercise goal do you have for 2014 and how will it impact your weight? Completing another century bike ride with my husband. We typically do one a year…
  • I will be! It's a good way to also keep track of how many drinks I've had. I'm anticipating going over a little, but tomorrow I've got all day off work and the dogs & I are going to go for a long walk to start the new year right (followed by a trip to the gym :) )
  • I'm in. Adding the weigh in days to my calendar :)
  • I, too, am looking for more active friends. My New Year’s Commitment is to log more and be more accountable for the things I consume.
  • Feel free to add me. I've got at least 50 to go. Ideally I'd like to lose 75, but would be thrilled with 50 right now.....
  • I'm game but I can't find it :(
  • Hey there! I feel your pain! I'm 27 and in the same boat as you are-- I've gained a bit of weight over the past few years and am tired of being on the pudgy side. Can always use some new pals for motivation/encouragement. :)
  • Best: I've biked for 3 days straight (almost 70 miles) Worst: Stepped on the scale and am retaining water like a sponge (thanks for the buzz kill mother nature... thanks)
  • Just found this thread and thought I’d contribute. Can use all the support/motivation I can get :) (broke my collar bone from a cycling accident earlier this year and am SO excited to be cleared to be pedaling on!) Here’s August: 8/14: 13.96 miles; 1:30 min 8/15: 14.00 miles; 1:32 8/17: 26.84 miles; 1:49 min 8/18: 24.65…
  • Hey there…. I’ve found myself in the same kind of situation you’re in. Looking for addition of the social aspect of this to keep me motivated—I’ve been with MFP for a while but it comes and goes with my ambition/desire to lose weight. Have found that having someone to keep myself accountable is a HUGE part of this. I’m 27…
  • Day 1: Done! I can feel the burn.
  • Hi there, welcome back! I've been hit or miss with logging and I know I need to get better at keeping myself accountable. I've been off and on logging since December but now need to get serious-- this weight isn't coming off by itself and I'm limited by what I can do with exercising right now.
  • Holy cow. Just jumped rope for the first time in probably 15 years yesterday. My calves are KILLING me. Good workout but ouch! Going to continue adding it to my normal routine.

  • Keep it goin! I've been through 3 bike seats and over 500 miles to find one that I really love. It also takes a lott of time in the saddle to get comfortable with it. Make sure your bike is adjusted to the appropriate height (that helps a lot) and be sure to adjust and come off the seat whenever you can. It helps, too.…
  • Definitely looking for some positive support and log on mfp regularly. Feel free to add me. I'm taking the no whining approach too... :)
