I am reading a great book called Real Food, How to Eat and Why by Nina Planck. She does a great job explaining all the research on fat.

I am 47 soon to be 48 with a little girl to show for my saggy body. I am not overweight. I need spanx to keep my saggy tummy in. No shame.

I am not taking a position either way but I am glad it generates discussion.

Thank you ladies, I did take measurements before and yes they have stayed the same. I don't want to go to her more advanced programs yet because I had to take a year off from doing any type ab exercises and lifting weights because of two hernia surgeries within 6 month period. I find the Shred challenging! but I have been…

Well even though NOTHING is happening with changing my body- I am still doing it. Level 2- Day 3 and can I say I hate the pendulum lunges? Hate Hate Hate them.

I am 5" 4" and 141.6 lbs (depending on the day) and I too have plateaued for months now. I was told to change my goal to .5 lbs loss a week, I do the 30 DS and run every other day and my calories are set at 1570. I drink 5 28 ounce bottles of water daily. Nothing is moving- no inches, no weight. Depressing, but I am…

Level 2 Day 2 done. Ran for a half hour pror- man she kills me.

I actually log 30 minutes because I do some cardio for warm up before and after.

Hi I am on Level 2 Day 2. I am doing it every other day and running on the other days. The planks are killing me. I have a question- I am 47 and pretty close to my goal weight-when did you start seeing results? I have been taking my measurements but put the scale away because I get really obsessed- but my measurements…

Started Level 2 day 1 OMG. I could only make it through half the plank stuff. Burned 273 calories though- my HR was through the roof the whole time.

Good for you CaityMay1! I had a day like that yesterday where the thought of doing the shred was ugh! but I did it and felt better for it.

Bump! I am on Level 1 Day 9- I did today. Kicks my butt. I haven't lost anything or lost any inches but I am at that age where it is much harder to drop weight. It feels good though...

I think I hurt my shoulder doing those darn push-ups :(.

I had an inguinal hernia- apparently rare in women but they do happen. I had surgery and was told not to lift anything heavier then 15 lbs for 6 weeks. I was told that I could walk and run as much as I wanted during that time, I started the P90x 14 weeks post op and 5 weeks in I apparently ripped the internal stitches…

My knees only bother me during the jump rope piece so I do marching instead. I am on Day 9 of Level 1- and it still seems hard.

Yay!!!! You go girl! Jillian is HARD!

Day 8 of Level 1. I just increased my weight to 6lbs for the biceps and for the chest presses. I used just 1 pound weights for the shoulder raises. 26 girl push-ups today! Yay! The sad part for me is there has been NO change in my weight or measurements. UGH! I hate being 47 years old for these types of things- results…

Day 7 of Level 1-Today felt hard but I did do 25 girl push ups! The cardio jumping is killing me.

Fire the trainer! Tell the management about him!

Yes, I can see a difference. You are slimmer through your midsection. Have you done measurements and kept track?

The new ones are very safe. I suggest a Fagor- they are built to last. Risotto in 7 minutes, broth in 30 minutes, I could go on and on. Pick up "Pressure Cooking for Dummies" it has great basics that you can build on.

You know what- I can actually feel the muscles in my upper arms and shoulders. Today was my running day but I think this alternating the shred and running helps my endurance with my running too. I haven't seen any weight loss or measurement change but I think that a few women who have done it said it drastic changes seem…

May I suggest a pressure cooker? My broths are rich and amazing, gel when cooled and I can start with a raw chicken carcass. Not to mention you can make it in under 30 minutes.

I am 142 lbs, 5' 4" and I wear a size 10 for pants, sometimes an 8 if I am lucky. My hip measurement is 39.5. I know exactly how you feel :(.

Just sent you a request- I just rendered my own lard a few days ago and ate the cracklins with my daughter, I try to eat mostly unprocessed foods and cook everyday. But and there is always a but...have my days where I fall into the processed quagmire. Anyway, would love to have you as a friend.

Today was my day 5. I am doing it every other day with running/jogging. I haven't seen any real difference yet with inches or weight loss but I can do 10 girl push ups in a row now! I still feel like OMG 20 minutes feels like an eternity, I am using 3 lb weights for most things and 6 lbs for chest press but I drop down to…

Is anyone doing it every other day? I am alternating with running 3 to 4.5 miles a day. I am hurting too but in a good way.
