I eat a lot of them, but try to save a few hundred if I can, so that days when I want to I can go over and not feel bad about it. I use the 7 day and 30 day "Net Calories" report to make sure I'm averaging out. I've gone substantially over (as much as 800 calories) six times in the last 30 days and still lost 5 lbs. Eat…

I treat myself to a soda once in a while. I keep 8oz coke in a glass bottles in the house, it reminds me of a beer bottle and I will sometimes have one with a hotdog and chips, or even with some popcorn. It's about 100 calories, otherwise, besides my morning coffee I try not to drink my calories. If I go out to eat or find…

If your goal is to burn calories through cardio exercise, it doesn't matter what you do; only what your heart rate is while you’re doing it. For me if I keep my heart rate at about 112, I'll burn 10 or 11 calories every minute of exercise. With my heart rate up around 135, I’ll burn 14 or 15 calories per minute. Some say…

I like to exercise with my daughter in the room. Shes 4 and lately she will just run around in circles and tell me shes exercising. It's funny. But she is learning that exercise is part of my life, and I hope she embraces it as part of hers.

I've run a lot of men, have had 40-50 carpenters work under me on a single construction site. I like to swear.

You might be on to something here. Can you deep fry a banana?

I didn't know that.......that's interesting because I believe Weight Watchers point system must ultimately be based on counting calories (but they do it for you).

"I don't think people are going to go as far as to eat 1800 calories of fruit and/or veg a day. Has anyone out there every done that?"
Ya I think people do, I was actually reading about a guy who said he was eating 4000 calories a day fruit veggies & nuts. I'm not sure, but I think Vegans and…

I'm also looking at the NordicTrack E5.7 Elliptical, I have a Nordic Track recumbent bike, I've had it for 3 years, never a problem and I love it.

That's a good article and intresting, but I quote this: "I’d also note that the combination of big caloric deficits and large amounts of activity clearly isn’t detrimental to everyone. Some folks can get away with it but, for many, it tends to backfire more than anything else." My advise is still........ Listen to your…

I never said she wont loose weight eating her calories back, the deficiency is baked into her allowance. I only said she doesn't have to.
-
Most of this advice is so wrong... Look at the big loosers diary, people who lost 50, 75, 125lbs. They don't eat the exerciser calories period. I eat some, but try to leave 800 to 1200 on the table. I'm following this guy .... joncowling1988.... regularly he exceeds his calories with exercise and he lost something like…

Your calories are spread out over the week, so you don't have to change anything on your days off. It's so unlikely for your body to go into starvation mode, you would really need to have anorexia or something. It really is nothing that you should worry about.
-
At the top of your page... Check out that APPS tab. it shows the apps and the devices that sinc with MFP
-
Your "Work calories" should be baked into your daily allowance and not counted as exercise because MFP uses that already. But make sure your Goals are all filled out so MFP can calculate your daily allowance correctly. Choose the right activity level under : How would you describe your normal daily activities? (in Goals)…
