Weird. I just redid it - my measurements haven't changed at all and Military put me at 15% and Covert-Bailey at 10.2 %

Maybe there is an error in the formula used and I should ignore the minus sign and assume it is saying that I am +10.4%BF... Seems almost legit actually - I was (by your visual estimation) 12-13% at 164lbs, I bulked and then cut to 160lbs....
-
I'm about 4lbs lighter than I was last time I cut - and reached 13-14% bf....so I'm guesing it makes me 12%ish, but still...

A pedant writes; A marathon is a kind of race....

Bread, pasta, porridge, ice-cream, beer, beer....... Beer. Mmmmmm beer...
-
Why would you not lift when you are cutting? Cutting: Lift, (cardio if you choose), eat at a deficit Bulking: Lift, eat at a surplus.

I've never drunk too much, or indeed, too little in my entire life. I have only ever drunk enough. :drinker:

Ignoring the incredibly judgy "you must be a wino" comments - my tolerance to booze got less when I lost weight. I was quite capable of having 8 pints over the course of a night out and remaining (relatively) compos mentis when I was 17stone. Now I'm battered after 4.
-
Also - carbs are your friend when you are gaining. Work those grains back into your diet. Pasta, bread, breakfast cereal...

I managed to get myself to 164lbs and about 12% BF by last year (I have since bulked and cut and am now 170lbs at the same bf). I have taken up Rugby again at 34, and now play on the wing, and in the off-season have discovered that I am quicker than most of the players there, including some young sprinters. I did not cut…

Why on earth would this matter to someone trying to GAIN WEIGHT. Jeeeesus, what has become of the "aim to gain" subforum?
-
Which is precisely what you are aiming to do if you are wanting to gain muscle mass.
-
Its funny - only people who knew you before comment. I took up Rugby again last year after I had reached 166lbs. I'm about 170 now after bulking and cutting.....People on my team just assume I have always been slender.

Yeah. I use a 'herbal' supplement with hops and...er...malted barley.

I wonder what would happen if you ran hydrochloric acid (the acid found in your stomach for those unsure) through the same pipes?......
-
Lots of people pay good money from elevated chemical (including sodium) levels in water. Its called mineral water....
-
"Muscle relaxors so you can sleep at night?" You mean booze, don't you?

GOMAD is for GAINING weight not LOSING weight.
-
I'm a Rugby player "larger" coaches (and players, come to that) are everywhere and surprisingly fit - 80 minutes of Rugby on match day is no mean feat for anybody.
-
I've milked them - although mostly on a cluster. I have also hand-milked sheep to tube-feed lambs...
-
I quite fancy a milking goat, I just know that getting up to milk it every day would become annoying in the extreme after a while. What are those? Anglo-Nubians?
-
I wouldn't because, quite frankly, if I was going to drink all that milk, I'd use it as an excuse to buy a cow and then I'd have to milk the *kitten* every day.
-
I have tended to stay away from the public fora with the exception of "gaining weight" because of the ammount of ridiculous there. I am saddened to see it has spilled over to here.

1) Not in Europe, they aren't - growth hormone (both injected and in feeds) contravenes EU health regs. 2) There is nothing intrinsically "bad" about fat or sugar. Also - Yes, it does grow a calf, but "finished" animals (Cows, sheep, pigs etc) are not hugely fatty, an overfat carcase wil be penalised at the abbotoir, and…
-
Why? It was an utterly ignorant comment made by someone who is clearly stupid.
-
Bully for you - what if you aren't 'college' clever? Do you deserve to live in the gutter?
-
Quite, if you raise the price of your product, less people will buy it...
-
Confusing the two? Are you seriously trying to suggest that strands of economics are somehow not aligned to a political ideology?
-
For what its worth - I have an MSc (in an actual science) and scientists are some of the least politically informed people I have ever met.
-
Yes. See: The entire history of the labour movement Wat Tyler - Lech Walesa. It gets pretty interesting 1848-1952.....
