I've been T1 for...22 years now (man I'm old). Got it when I was 8. It's alot harder to lose weight but doable--I lost 30 lbs last year (and gained 10 back...siiiigh...reset the ticker today). I can't stand the idea of a pump (everyone thinks it's hilarious but I can't deal with needles and the idea of something…

Can we make out? I may love you. BUT, before I commit, what's your position on oxford commas? PS How do I log the 30 Day Shred?

Julz 9.5 (10 but pink hair reminds me of Lady Lovely Locks and Gem) and I mean that in a good way, I love both those things

Actually, I think that student loans are the only type of debt we SHOULD forgive (if we're going to forgive it at all). It's different than credit card debt, or mortgage loans, both of which get forgiven all the time. Student loans are taken out to better yourself, with the anticipation (usually) that doing so will lead to…

Also unless you're really strong I'd recommend 5-8lb weights for starting out with something like 30DS. You need something you can do about 20-30 reps with, not 5-8.

Do you have a treadmill? Put a piece of plywood across the bars, put your computer on it, and walk while you wedding plan, etc!

Haha, he's wrong. If you want to track distance for yourself, go for it (there's a website called map my run that will do it for you too). But if you're just worried about your calorie burn, distance has nothing to do with that (beyond the obvious, the further you go the more you will burn). Trust your HRM, your friend…

A handful of nuts is not going to bring it up...some studies have shown that they are good for helping to stabilize blood sugars in general, but not to help lows. It is not anything you eat that will bring it up, it is specifically sugar, preferably in an easily digestible form (juice, icing) in the short term and…

Mine was 43 last night. I keep a tub of cake icing in the house (the current flavor is pink lemonade) for when it is super low and a tub of ice cream for when it is low but not an extreme emergency (ie, I can 'enjoy' bringing it up). I also keep a bottle of lemonade by my bed (in case I don't have time to make it…

This is kind of ridiculous. Do we really need a word for EVERY variation on a restricted diet out there?
-
Try the websites of stores that sell similar items, they'll usually have them matched up with something

I'd go with a cute pair of jeans, boots (riding boots or another flat one, not a high heeled one) and a cute sweater--nice, classy, but not too dressy for a sports bar. Enjoy!

LOVE Rock and Republic! Never heard of Silver--what kind of shape are they good for?
-
I suggest steamed broccoli with steamed chicken - no sauce, no starch, no added salt or soy sauce. Eat mostly the broccoli and drink lots of tea without sugar and water. Ew. At that point why even bother? Eating shouldn't be a miserable, depressing experience

This. I mean, seriously people. Get a grip.

Crop tops, jean shorts and belly chains. I judge my mother for letting me out of the house, lol

I have to disagree on the low carb thing, lol. At 16 (also, isn't the age limit on here 18, or am I crazy) you should be eating alot more than 1300, especially if you are active, and those calories should be balanced across all the food groups. I'd increase the calories commensurate with the activity level.

I can think of a couple of 'workouts' that are especially Valentines-Day appropriate

I drink about 8-10 diet sodas a day with no negative side effects
-
Well you figure a bottle of wine is 2-3 servings. And the food pyramid recommends what....4-6 servings of fruit a day? Somewhere in there? So I'd say 2-3 bottles a day would satisfy that requirement. Which is about in line with how much I had last night...I feel healthier already!

Try it. If you like it and it works for you, awesome. If it doesn't, at least now you know. One or two days, or meals, even bad ones, aren't going to undo/set back your progress--you'd have to eat something like 6000 calories in a day in order to gain even a lb. They work great for me (though to be fair, if I want…

Caps and B's!!!!

Yuck..heard this story on the radio this morning! I used to bartend, and we'd put an old penny into a glass of coke, and it would turn shiny and new looking in about 10-20 minutes. Scary!! awesome! My insides must be so shiny!

I drink 6-10/day and have lost 30 lbs.

I had no problem getting through it, but pity the author who had this much spare time on his hands...(I say, checking the forums here for about the 5th time in as many minutes....lol)

Getting his blood sugars down is the only way to get his A1C down. More insulin, if that's what is needed, or less blood-sugar-raising food.

I make stuffed chicken breasts with the garlic one. I also use it to give a creamy texture to pasta (cook the pasta in chicken broth, keep some of the broth and mix in a laughing cow and some veggies and whatever other seasonings and let it mix/boil down to the right texture. Yum!)
