  • I've lost a mid-size microwave!! Woho!
  • I use sugar free Popsicle to help and skinny cow deserts when I'm really feinding for some sugar. But my absolute favorite is Whipped Cream and any fruit I have. You could even add some granola and/or nuts to it to make it more filling. Or I do unsweetened almond milk with strawberry's and some splenda.
  • The way I think about it is like you gave your system too much energy and now its going to have to store some of it. In this case probably as fat in the body. But if you are eating well and working out the rest of the time you will burn through that extra energy fast. It is nearly impossible to stay on a strict eating plan…
  • YES YES YES!! This is still happening to me. It makes me want to find new friends to be active with that will not judge.(Should do that anyways :) But I will say that my family's and fiends reactions have gotten better in the last couple weeks/month. They seem to be more supportive the longer I'm at it but everyone is…
  • Best post ever! Couldn't stop laughing!
  • Thank you everyone for your responses! I honestly wasn't expecting this much feedback. I do have self esteem issues I know that part of getting healthy is fixing that too. It means so much to me that I can come on here and speak with all of you about this and not feel like I'm being judged. I have read everyone's responses…
  • Agree with almost everything here ^^^^ I eat a few Whole wheat carbs because I can't eat none :grumble: but most of my cards do come from veggies. I have also cut out almost all manufactured sugar(i still cant say no completely to sugar so I eat a lot of fruit) but It's been working really well. Went from size 19/18 to…
  • NSV: My shirts actually stay down when I walk now. Before they rode up all the time *embarrassing* but now they stay put for the most part :smooched:
  • Try and strengthen your back muscles and stomach muscles. I use aerobics that include full body strength training and that has been helping a lot. I do cardio also but making your muscles strong will help suck in your belly  And don't forget your back. If your back is strong it will be strait not curved forward…
  • I could maybe let him watch me at the gym cuz lets face it everyone else can see you too soooo it should be ok but really until I lose some more inches I don't want him to see me like that. I don't want to even see me like that....
  • ^^ This too^^ she posted the same time as me so I didn't see her response :)
  • I think your eating the right amount maybe its just the muscle your gaining so you see no difference on the scale. I would suggest taking measurements to see if there is a difference. Are your cloths loose? I gain muscle very easy so I can sometimes go up on my scale before I come back down. I have been much happier taking…
  • ^^^This^^^ Nobody every said to me your fat so for some reason when I looked in the mirror I was able to convince myself I wasn't.
  • "Starvation mode" Is just an easy way to say your body thinks its not getting enough food so its stores it instead of burning it off. You can trick it by eating more often with smaller portions. How much you eat depends on many factors but weight is a big one. My maintenance calories would be 2400 a day or 1500 to loose…
  • This is one of my fears, that I will hurt myself and not be able to work out :( I hope you feel better soon!!! :flowerforyou:
  • Weight training does help! Even body-weight training like squats and pushups and such if thats easier for you. Don't give up! You can do it.
  • I love this thread! I went to my gym for months without seeing much of a result. I feel very restricted there. All the guys hog the free weights and the machines isolate one muscle set so you don't get a well rounded workout. I switched to working out at home (which I had never done before) and I LOVE it! I find free…
  • I've always had this problem, size 12,14,16 have never fit me. Junior sizes go 13,15,17 now those fit me :) you should try it. Jean designs are pretty age neutral and the fit is amazing
  • Awesome Job!! Love your ticker by the way
  • For my legs using weights helped mine the most. They don't go away exactly but they look smaller and less noticeable.
  • The last straw for me was when I had a very nice Christmas cruise dinner I was to attend and I needed a nice dress to wear. I don't normally wear dresses but I have about 15 I keep for special occasions( I know a lot but I'm a clothing hog :) I knew I was heavier than the last time I tried on dresses so I saved my one…
  • I totally get what you mean. Even though they had good intentions it comes off rude and its discouraging. Most people have no idea how much someone should weigh. I had to do extensive research to figure out my goal/realistic weight. Just think of your friend as an uneducated source :-) 3 lbs is awesome! Your doing great.
  • Thank you for this post. I am trying to use measurements to track my progress instead of the scale and seeing these progress pictures makes me feel better about my progress. After years of being told I should weigh 120lbs and never even getting close to that its really hard for me to not get discouraged when I get on the…
  • This has been my problem most of my life. My weight is high, and at this point I am definitely overweight, but I'm always going to be in the high numbers on the scale. I keep track using the measurements and I'm so much happier to see inches come off than lbs :) It's really nice to hear that other people have had the same…
  • Totally agree with this. New work out cloths or weights or a heart rate monitor are wonderful inspiration at least I know for myself it is :) *Girl = love new stuff and shopping hehe* I thought I would also share with you some things that motivate me. My bf is never 100% on board with me loosing weight(think he likes the…
  • Bump Keep em coming boys!
  • Absolutely loved all of your posts! Bumping for later :)
  • Your also eating a lot of protein which keeps your "muscle weight" high. My sister is really small and had the same problem as you. She ended up running to get the extra weight off but she lost some of her shape because she leaned out. My other friend added daily walks to her routine during lunch's and then finial she shed…
  • I was just going to say the same thing, It took me about 2 weeks to have the cravings subside. I still want them because i KNOW it will taste good but then i get crazy stomach aces afterwards. Same thing if i eat too much food no mater what it is.
