How do you mean longer? Your sides have toned up?
-
Walking is part of my activity level, checked and as an active person its allowed me an extra 300 calories to eat. I spend 2 hours a day running up and down stairs at work, I can't believe that I'm not supposed to log that as its not like I'm taking a leisurely stroll to the shops.

Get the weight off with Insanity than move on to the 30 day Shred to tone up the muscles. That's what I'm doing and can really see the difference between shrinking through Insanity and forming muscle and stomach muscles with the 30DS.
-
Ha, no.
-
Lasts between 25 and 28 mins once you count the warm down.
-
Really? You eat every day, does that not count in weight watchers?
-
Enjoy the recovery week because week 2 is a lot harder than 1.
-
I walk in my job for 3+ hours a day and I count it. If you walked on a treadmill would you count that?
-
If you are doing all that you have nothing to be intimidated about.

She's just trying to sell a new product. 30DS is a great workout, did it 2 years ago and saw good results, recently I did Insanity and shifted a load of weight (after putting a load back on) I had a break after Insanity for 2 weeks then started the 30DS again, after Insanity I found it too easy so started doubling up by…

Its made me obsessive and educated about how my body works. Its a good tool but is taking over, not sure how long it is going to be a good thing for.

I'm eating my 2200 calories to maintain but not eating my 500-1300 exercise calories per day and I'm finding that I'm becoming lean with muscle cutting through. Saying that I'm doing the 30 Day Shred and Kettlebells so hoping that its accelerating the process.

Just bought a Polar RS100 with a chest strap and love it, compared to my previous wrist watch version with no strap its accurate and informative. Money well spent.
-
Thank you, will look into that now.

Used this last night and I have to say it's very impressive, could see the heart beat rise as I became more active and vice versa. Did the 30 Day Shred level 2 and it register 272 calories burned where before on my crappy wrist watch HRM (without strap) it would say around 140 (after taking the reading once the warm up was…

Thanks, the everyday use is not really that important, using it for Insanity or the 30 Day Shred is really, I can use my cheap wrist watch model for that and estimate the day stuff but the intense workouts I really need to know more accurately. Gonna use it tonight when I do the Shred.
-
Thanks Jeff, don't mind that it only works with the strap but would have liked to have the option of it working without it so I can test myself in my job which is quite physically demanding, will try and use the strap at work tomorrow and see how it feels. I have a wrist watch strapless one and yeah it does feel like guess…

The difference was about 80 calories. Measuring after the warmdown was 141 cal in block 2 (because my HR slowed down to fall into the 2nd category) Measuring after the final intense Ab workout was 219 cal in block 3 (because my HR entered the 3rd category) This was the same workout on 2 separate days measured at the 2…

Really? I'm using a cheap HRM at the mo until my new one comes and I've been doing the 30 Day Shred and measuring my heart rate at the end of the session with a mobile HRM because the sensor on the watch is not too great. Yesterday I was measuring my HR at 111 at the end of the cooldown, today I measured it at 135 after…

Why does it mater what you log it under?

Just bought a Polar RS100, anyone got one?

Eventually your body will want a rest, I did Insanity twice over but after that I had two weeks off before I started the 30 Day Shred because I just couldn't face it anymore, nothing to do with it doing any harm because I don't believe it did, it was a mental thing. Keep going until you hit that wall, give yourself a…

I walk for about 3-4 hours a day and burn between 400-600 calories a day but I don't eat it back because it just doesn't feel like a proper workout. I can't get my head around it, if I ran or do Insanity then I would but walking just just doesn't seem right to me.
-
Insanity is a brilliant way to lose weight, I don't think it's so good at getting you toned and tight but the weight does come off quickly if your diet is good with it.
-
Day 8 for me tonight, put on 4lbs after the first couple of days but it's all back off as of this morning. Body is starting to feel sore now which is a good thing.
-
I've started doing this with breakfast and dinner and find it helps out a lot with regards to spreading the rest out for lunch and treats. Before doing it I was restricting myself until dinner was out of the way and I knew what I had left. Much prefer this way.
-
When you start the Shred don't look at the scales, your weight may go up slightly which can be disheartening, take before and after shots and you will see yourself getting toned.
-
Walking definitely works but you are what you eat. I'm a postman and walk between 3 and 4 hours a day, since trying to get into shape I've been doing Insanity but completed it two weeks ago, since then I've done no workouts while I let my body repair, I've been eating my 2200 a day calories to maintain and done my job…
-
Its not something you should be coasting through. I've done it twice and it don't get easier, you just learn to take the pain and do it.
-
Buy a wrist watch heart rate monitor, I'm a postman and started measuring the calories I'm burning on my round. Its easy enough to do.
