I'm 1300 plus some exercise calories, but not all and not all the time. Breakfast is overnight oats with chia seeds, almonds, unsweetened soy milk, fruit and a little maple syrup. I take it in the winter for SAD. It helps me lose weight but I put it right back on when I go off. It also makes my hair fall out, raises my blood pressure, makes my ears ring, and makes me very constipated. But I take it so I can, literally, survive the winter. I weigh calorie dense foods. I used to weigh everything but now I'm good at eyeballing. I do always weigh cereal though. I usually find I underestimate my servings when I weigh.

For breakfast I have oatmeal usually. Lunch is leftovers or a green smoothie. I don't think people can be addicted to food. We can be addicted to food behaviors, but not food. So, perhaps work on your behaviors then peace with food will follow.

It's your decision to eat animals or not. However, as others have stated, it's entirely realistic and possible to get all of your protein needs met on a vegan diet.

Congrats on the 4 lbs. I'm sure you'll figure out the fussy. Then there will be a new fussy for a different reason :). Even my 14 yo gets fussy. A lot. :)

When I nursed my four kids (a pair of twins too) weight loss was easy without even trying. Just focus on making healthy choices as much as possible and eat to maintenance. Trust me, before you know it nursing will be over and your kid will be eating Doritos and applying for college.

I weigh daily too. When I don't I go into denial mode and usually end up gaining. It keeps me on track.

I just use the default settings MFP gives. I'm a vegan so sometimes my protein is a little lower and carbs higher. It works for me! I've seen a very wide range of macros that people use on this site and the most important thing is keeping your calories in check.

I eat some of the calories Fitbit gives me only when I have hungry days. Usually PMS week. I never eat all of them.

I was in Wellbutrin and when I went off I gained 30 pounds. It was horrible and I felt like I couldn't control the weight gain. But now that I'm counting calories closely I have lost almost 10.

That is reasonable and I've thought of that too. I will definitely check in with my numbers every few weeks to reassess.

I figured the deficit by pounds lost in that period. I know I can't lose a lb a day.

No not per day. I calculated my deficit by multiplying lbs lost by 3500.

And I'm planning on eating more than 1200 cals so don't yell at me. Just did it for three weeks because I'm feeling motivated.
