How much does your weight fluctuate from day to day?

I am up 4 pounds since yesterday. Clearly water weight. Weighted myself on same scale, first thing in the morning as always. So frustrating. Either too much sodium or shark week is on its way LOL TMI

Past 4 wks for me (daily weigh ins)
red line is the overall trend
little diamonds are the actual weigh ins.0 -
So you fluctuate 2 to 3 pounds?

I don't get it. If you know it's water weight (which you will know because it's a lot and suddenly), why are you frustrated?
My weight fluctuates by up to 1 kilo from one day to the next, and up to 1.5 kilos in three days. I have a range of 3 kilos that I aim to stay within, and it's quite easy.0 -

Yep. My fluctuation range isn't very big, but I've seen other people post about having a 5 lb range.1 -
Well I am very focused with the number on the scale like a lot of people. That is why it is frustrating. I am intelligent enough to know it isn't real weight gain so to speak. Just curious about other people's flucations.2

3-4 pounds. It's super annoying.1

I only gain a pound or more on the day before my period and 14 days later too On other days if my weight fluctuates up it is by a 0.2lbs at most (but in general it is either the same or drops by 0.2-0.4lbs). I'm 153lbs btw.0

Good question and I wish I had some answers for you but I don't. I am looking forward to what others have to say as I swear I have lost and gained the same 7 lbs over and over again, trying to get to that 10 lbs that is my second weight goal. It seems like it was easier to lose a bunch of weight all at once than this lousy 10 lbs and I still have at least 15 more after I reach this goal...if I ever do! And I agree...it is frustrating!0

Most of the time around 5 lbs up or down. But, after a big exercise day like hiking several miles in hilly terrain, I've had a 12lb increase that lasted only a couple days then a big swing back down. I'm 6' and still 100 left to lose and have chronic pain that comes with swelling so...
If you know your logging is accurate and you are staying within your allowances then you have nothing to worry about.1 -
I'm not a expert this is only my experience with a scale so please no one tell me it's wrong of me to say this but i just wanted to say it could be around your monthly for it to go up and down or even just going to the bathroom1

Well what I'm trying to say if it goes up don't let it bother you but if it keeps going down let me know your secret on what your doing0

3-4 lbs0

I totally understand why you're frustrated. You work hard, you eat right, giving up anything that is even remotely tasty, just to see the scale go up. And if you're like me, you want to quit because, what the heck. But if you know deep down that you didn't do anything "wrong" just chalk it up to one of the frustrating aspects of weight loss and keep going. Don't give up!

Or it's just normal fluctuations that have nothing to do with anything except the fact that the human body is made up of anywhere between 50% - 65% water and it's always in flux.
I can fluctuate anywhere from 0-5 Lbs day to day. I don't obsess about the number on the scale...it is only one singular measurement.0 -
1 - 2lbs if I've eaten higher sodium or extra carbs. .. hormones or new workout regime also effects the scale too.0

I fluctuate between 1-3 lbs and weigh myself daily. I notice also when I have a high salt meal that I hold on to more weight (water).0

I get a water weight gain at ovulation and right before my TOM (and when I started lifting weights again after a break) and am only concerned that the overall trend stays down.
