  • Week 1= -2 lbs. (183) Week 2= -.5 lbs. (182.5) Week 3= 0 (182.5) Week 4= 0 (182.5) I think my body is starting to figure this out. I am going to change things up to hopefully break this 2wk plateau!
  • Wow! Congrats to everybody, all the hard work is paying off! What a sexy bunch we will be for Halloween!
  • Your goal is very attainable! However, you are doing a lot exercise and only giving your body 1200 calories. I would just make sure that is enough by figuring out your BMR and TDEE (total daily exercise expenditure). Also, I have never heard that you have to lose .5lbs per week when your almost to your goal to keep it off.…
  • Great Job!
  • Week 1= -2 lbs. (183) Week 2= -.5 lbs. (182.5) Week 3= 0 (182.5) So frustrating when eat the same amount of calories every week but do not lose some weeks! The positive is I didn't gain so I will keep plugging along.
  • Here are some of the things that have helped me break a plateau: 1) I would do some intervals while you are walking. Jog for 30 sec. then walk for 30 sec. I would also add some lunges, squats, etc.. to your walks. Your body is getting use to your routine and you really need to change it up. 2) I would zig zag your…
  • Finally be able to put on my "goal" jeans & actually be able to breathe in them!
  • My evening sweet fix is a smashed frozen banana with a little chocolate syrup on top. Helps with my ice cream craving.

  • I had a really good week losing 2 lbs. I am finally back on track after a summer of too many vacations. My goal was to maintain all summer & enjoy, which I did, now it is time to lose the last 10 before Halloween. This is the motivation I was looking for!

  • I try to find 3 positives in every situation and sometimes it is hard. I have been doing it for so long now, that usually the first thing out of my mouth is "well the positive is..." My 15yr old daughter is now doing it along with other members of my family.
  • Hi all, I was just thinking I needed to come up with a goal to finally lose my last 15, so Halloween it is. My name is Jill, my CW is 185 and my goal weight is 170. Lets do this!

  • I have gone through the same frustrating thing your wife is going through. I also was having a major plateau for months losing and gaining the same 2lbs. I tried the Spike diet which I found on here, there is a group. It basically has you zig zag calories like others have suggested then you have a Spike day. For 3 days you…
  • yummy bump! Thank you!
  • Check out the Spike Diet (there is a group). I was like you and had plateaued for 2 months until I tried this plan. It basically just cycles your calories. Nothing fancy & easy to follow. I have lost 20lbs in 2 months on it. I would go to the group page & read the bullet points, it basically explains it there. You can also…

  • Check out the Spike Diet, there is a group on here & you can also buy the book. It basically has you eating at your BMR 3 days per week & BMR minus 500 calories the other 3 days. Then you pick one day called a "Spike Day" that you eat double your BMR. Trust me, I was very skeptical but I was plateauing for over a month &…
  • I would move or vote out the people that made this a law.

  • I do a 40% Carb, 40% Protein, 20% fat. It is a great balance for me, but everybody has to find their own balance & what works for them.
  • I am a fellow yo yo dieter myself. Lets make this time the last time, you can add me!
  • Being a former Personal trainer, here is what I have found with clients. The most successful ones were the ones that actually listened & followed the diet & exercise program I had set up for them. I had clients that I met with once per week & they thought that was enough, not taking the initiative to workout on their own…
  • I compromise with myself & eat back half of my workout calories. Also, that way if I forget to log something I'm covered. Everybody is different, & you just have to find what is successful for you.
  • I am starting on Monday & plan to do the 3 low, 3 high & 1 spike. I will look in joining the Spike Diet group, thank you for the response. I am a little nervous about it, I have been dieting & have hit a major plateau so I am going to try this.
  • I am planning on starting the Spike diet on Monday. I have figured out the amount of calories I need for my high, low, & spike day. However, I do not know if I am suppose to eat my exercise calories. For example, I figured on my low days through the calculations, that I should be eating 1200 calories. I burn about 700…
