  • We have our own individual methods (he never got into mfp with me), but we do support each other! It makes it so much easier because I refuse to cook separate meals for him to eat and I won't buy junk food for him! ;)
  • ahh, I suck as a mod! SW 192.8 last week 195.2 CW 194 Loss 1.2 To go 16 I have almost undone the damage I did with halloween candy! I'm still plugging along!
  • I'm around too. Life has gotten in the way the last few weeks! And I have a huge weakness for halloween candy! I'm PMSing like crazy, and am super bloated :-S I weighed in at 191 something on monday, but my "official" weigh in for the gym was 195.2 on wednesday! SW 192.8 CW 195.2 Loss +2.4 To Go 17.2 Hopefully once all…
  • Hey Ladies (and any remaining lurking gentlemen)! I've had a bit of a setback the last week and a half. I hurt my back last monday, so I was out of commission for about a week. Then my daughter (17 months) decided it would be fun to come down with Norovirus yesterday, so my day and nights have been filled with vomit clean…
  • That is FANTASTIC! On top of that, how do you FEEL compared to last year??
  • Sw 199 Pw 195.8 Cw 194.2 Loss 1.6 Total 4.8 Still not making good food choices. Got down to 191 earlier this week, but then ate crap again. I'm really sensitive to sodium! Still in for the long run though!
  • Welcome to the group!! I no nothing about carb cycling, but your goal of 72 lbs in a year is definitely attainable! You seem (according to your ticker) to already have made some FANTASTIC progress in your weight loss, so WAY TO GO with that! 72 lbs averages out to just 6 lbs a month, or a little less than a pound and a…
  • Sw:199 Pw:188.4 Cw: 188 Loss: .4 Phase loss: 11 Glad to see you all checking in! One more month for phase one! Keep up the good work!
  • Sorry I've been MIA this week, group! I participate in a 10-12 week challenge with my gym 4x a year (just finished round 2) and I allow myself a week off in between to do my restaurant/buffet/junk eating without logging. Gives me a mental break! This week, we are down 15.4 lbs as a group! and 74.8 lbs for the phase…
  • Great job everyone! Sw: 199 Pw: 190.8 Cw: 188.4 Loss: 2.4 This phase: 10.6
  • I'm 5'3", with a lbm of 122lbs. Hw:240, cw: 189. The "experts" say I "should" have a lbm in the mid 90s. I've maintained my lbm since the beginning of my weight loss with strength training. I was 126lb in high school, but I worked very physical jobs in my early and mid 20s (and ate whatever the hell I wanted, probably 3k…
  • Ok, I'm no expert, by any means, but I took a peek at your last week, and I think you could really benefit from more protein and a touch more calories! When you set your goal to lose 2 lbs/week, mfp automatically sets you at 1200/cals a day. 1200 is the imaginary red line that no one is supposed to dip under unless under…
  • If it works for you, keep at it! I'm a big believer in "if it fits your macros". I eat a lot of junk (mostly ice cream) but I fit it in my diet. I think the water would be good for you though. String cheese and funyons have a lot of sodium. The water will help flush it out, along with the extra water weight you may be…
  • Don't worry! I'm I'm a similar place in my weight loss as you, and sometimes I go a month before I see a solid loss. It's usually diet related - - I'll have too much sodium on Saturday and still be holding water weight on Monday. Keep your head high, you've come a long way!
  • Well, your diary is private, so I can't really see to give you a specific goal, but I am going to throw out "drink more water"! Aim for 10 glasses or more a day, all week!
  • Update with the 2 new weigh ins: 33.8 lbs for the week, and 65.6 lbs for phase one!! I am So proud of each and every one of you!!
  • Lumiza is right. The more weight you have to lose, the faster it comes off in the beginning! I lost my first 30 lbs very quickly (2 months maybe? from 240-210), but I've had to FIGHT for these last 20, over the last 6 months! Water weight has a lot to do with it. But EVERY loss is a win! We can't compare our losses…
  • We lost (as a group) 28.2 lbs this week!!! Awesome job, everyone! Since the beginning of this phase (whenever you started tracking), we have lost a total of..... drumroll please...... .... .... .... .... SIXTY POUNDS!!!! I am SO proud of everyone!! Keep up the amazing work! I cant' wait to see what we add for next week!…
  • 14 lbs?! You win a gold star! Amazing! Let that push you through the next week!
  • So happy to see all the new joiners!! Monday is our next weigh in, and I'm going to post a GROUP weight loss, so even if you're only down a couple of ounces, please chime in!! I'd love to see what our group is doing together!!
  • So many sketchy stupid Internet dates. It's a wonder I didn't end up raped and/or murdered. I have some great $hitty first/only date stories though. My friends think they're hilarious!
  • You. Look. Amazing!!! I am so happy for your future! Having a wonderful support system is the BEST thing you can do for a lifestyle change! Your determination is fierce, and your happiness just shines through your smile!! Best of luck with your surgery!!
  • I would consider tea (unsweetened) to be ok. Nothing with calories, so no juice, soda, etc. Soda has too many additives. Juice is really just a lot of empty calories. I flavor my water about half the time. The goal of a water challenge is to drink as much plain water as possible!
  • If you have the opportunity, be sure to catch last night's episode! He really overcame his disability (two bad knees, and double knee surgery during the 3rd phase), and persevered!
  • That's fantastic! I ended at 166 oz...it's hard to be exact since my kids steal my water bottle all the time!! haha! Good habits start young, though! Only at 32 so far today. Time to refill again!
  • great trick! I'm up to 80, just refilled. Plan on getting 66 more in before bed, for a total of 146 oz!
  • Hey April! Here is what I would do for your goals...feel free to tweak as you would like! Remember, weight comes off faster in the beginning than it does once you're closer to your goal! Phase 1 (9/3/13-10/31/13): 260-240 (20 lbs (since it's only 2 months)) Phase 2 (11/1/13-1/31/14): 240-210 (30 lbs) Phase 3…
  • 3 pm, up to about 50 oz! Took the kids up to the Children's museum and park, and ended up having McDonald's for lunch. I did better than I could have, but still, not ideal! It's the last day of summer here, so I am justifying it with that =) Off to fill my bottle again!
  • That's strange! I was away for about 15 months (pregnancy) and decided to just make a new profile when I rejoined in January. At any rate, we are glad to have you in our group! Please go into the sticky post and set yourself some goals!! We are all here to help each other be accountable! Welcome!! :flowerforyou:
  • This rang true for me today. NO MORE EXCUSES!!!
