Thank you. This should be a "must read sticky post" so every new member of MFP can easily find it and read it repeatedly.

This just goes to show that it's not just human processed food that's inundated with unhealthy chemicals!

My bro-in-law had that intestinal bypass surgery YEARS ago and thinks it's okay to eat anything he wants AND in HUGE amounts. He always is kind about it and offers to share and sometimes it's really hard to resist (like when he brings home Chinese takeout or deep-dish pizza with the works!) I started going online and…

I have a permanently damaged right knee from waaayyyyy back in high school gym class that's always kept me from things like bycicling, stair climbing, some aerobics moves, running... I can't get up from a squatting position without help because of that darned knee! In fact, I used to walk…

Boiled dinner: potatoes (reds work really well), lite kielbasa, potatoes, carrots, small (or 1/2) head of cabbage -- cut everything up bite size into a deep skillet, add water to about half cover everything, season with Mrs Dash (or whatever spices you like) NO SALT, cover pan (make sure you use a lid that releases steam)…

I'm saving this one for the next Chinese takeout at my house. Thanks!

Me too. I like to dip them in pb or yogurt, then they don't leave me starving for more.

Have you been to allrecipes.com yet? You can enter how many servings and recalculate any of their recipes for as many servings as you need, even just one. It's cool. http://allrecipes.com And it tells you nutritional values per serving, too.

I catch myself doing just the opposite... I look for ways to punish myself -- then beat myself up for THAT too!

I developed Aspartame poisoning back in the late 90s when it first came on the market although, at the time, I had no idea what the problem was and doctors couldn't figure out why I became a skeleton of my former self. Even tho I was eating well, I lost all muscle mass and looked like skin and bone and started having…

Yes. I've been told I'm "part rabbit" because I'm such a salad-raw veggie hound. When someone else is doing the cooking I try to find out what's being served then come here (MFP) and look it up in the database before I get my plate. Then, if it's high in calories but I want some, I take a very small portion (1/2 cup or…

Sounds yummy -- must try it. Thanks!

Great idea, thanks! I've eaten string cheese as a stand-alone snack (very filling, super low calorie) but never thought to add it to eggs -- and I LOVE eggs with cheese! Definitely gonna remember this one :flowerforyou:
