Sorry but I can't stop laughing. At 375 lbs its not the exercise, it's a serious eating problem. Walk around the mall lol.

Obviously not, stop deluding yourself. Looks like you're trying to excuse failure with psuedo science.

Would of thought it was more from the before and after pics, really well done :)

My diary is open and this is similar to the amounts I've been eating. I've been trying to eat more but I really struggle to eat enough. I think the key is working out ~200 cal breakfast + ~500 cal lunch/tea meals. Once you have that nailed the calorie counting becomes superflous. Can't help you with starvation mode, you…

Cycle further. Unless your bread and butter ride is 60 miles, your speed is super irrelevant =)

210 calories. 3 egg omlette =)

Don't take the title line too seriously either. Your body can use the meals you're eating and turn it into muscle while partially fueling itself off fat reserves. The you can't build muscle line only really matters for people doing weight lifting rather than normal exercise. I.E. You cannot build large volumes of muscle…

np Griff, small ancetode to illustrate why I said longer cardio. When I first started cycling I used to do a 1 hour intense ride, all the time. I came back exhausted everytime even after 2-3 months of doing the same ride/route. I was also getting exhausted maintaining 18mph over 1 hour (flat ground effort -> speed). When I…

If you're so convinced your path is superior, let him do as he wishes and if he ever wonders aloud why you're losing more weight then him then firmly but kindly assert that it is because he has failed to do good things that you've done. Also Paleo style diets are much tastier then the foods he seems to like. He'll soon…

No, it really isn't the only way lol. It does help :) But having a diet based on meat and veg will make weight loss for most people natural. The whole "we're programmed to eat loads" bull comes from people with high carb diets. Carbs are addictive, something commonly not understood properly by people who consume large…

The more I read the more perplexed I've been. Your eating is fine, if inconsistent. I find it interesting that a military man isn't drinking much booze though, you teetotal or not counting it? I think you may be doing a lot of intense work outs but avoiding longer cardio. What you do is really good, except it's all the…

I tried a new lunch meal today which blew my mind away and was so good. I put the ingredients I used into Myfitnesspal and got 308 calories, Aubergine Pizza. Rather then using the high calorie dough pizza base, subsitute with a sliced aubergine (eggplants to yo 'muricans). I ate 2 slices which is half an aubergine plus…

Drink some water at 8pm. It's not hunger, it's thirst. Your body is mostly water, not night time snacks. Prioritise consumption accordingly.

Hey OP. I used to do amateur bicycle races, cycled 1000's of miles each year etc and previous owner of a racing bike (it got stolen). The only way the weight of the bike matters is if you're going uphill. In that scenario the gross weight difference between a light and medium/heavier bike is negligible unless you are…

Frozen Veg is great, loads and loads. Some of the cheapest meals around. I'd also get lots of Eggs, even on $100 a month u can get the ones direct from a farmer or local butcher. Can get 6 free range for £1 like that here. Left over cash goes into bacon and chicken breast to dice into the veg.

Must be why as a 6 foot tall man I reached 145 lbs in weight through just riding a bicycle. (lol). Different things work for different people. The key isn't what routine is "better" it's what you stay motivated at. These kind of partisan stories are dirt, sorry.

@700 cals lost for yoga is most unreasonable. That's akin to claiming you're doing the same amount of exercise as a cyclist going at 25mph on average. Of course it's possible to do, but it's 100% going to count on what your pre-exercise diet was like. I also feel people have a habit of grossly over-estimating calories…
