When it comes to veggies it is my personal opinion that they do not need to be recorded in the diary. Veggies are good for you because they contain minerals and vitamins etc but have very minimal calories. Exceptions would be tubular veggies like potatoes. When it comes to salads I always just record "all the other stuff"…

Ok thanks. So 10 what? After 10 lbs lost? 10 days?

What sort of gap do you do? I do this indirectly because on the days I work out I eat back my workout calories. I workout 3-4 times a week and burn about 350-400 per workout.

Thanks for the help. Sounds like calorie cycling is the concensus on here. I do this indirectly because when I work out I usually burn about 400 calories. Which I definitely make sure I eat back ha. Funkycamper...Actually I have never been THAT skinny. I am 5'10", which although isn't super tall, I wouldn't consider short.…

This is not meant as offensive in ANY way. Just 100% totally curious. Why do people tell you that you should eat meat to loose your last 10 pounds? Like why would eating meat help you in loosing those last pounds? AND why are you against eating meat? Taste? Moral desicion? You think its unhealthy?

Can you link me to your blog?

Are you eating back your calories?

The most important part of weight loss is creating a calorie deficit. Now don't get me wrong. You SHOULD eat as many healthy meals and whole natural foods as you can. BUT in our modern world this is difficult as there are so many tasty things to eat! I say eat mostly healthy meals but as long as you stay under your caloric…

You don't NEED one. I exercised for a long time without it and just estimated my calories burned based off the calcs you find on MFP and google. The thing is though if you track every piece of food that goes in to your mouth and our accurate with that why not be accurate with exercise calories?

BMI is NOT a good weight to judge health. As always the current medical communities "status quo" is not up to date. BODY COMPOSITION is where it is at my friend Try getting under 20% bodyfat and say the heck with BMI.

Use Duct tape or mole skin.

If you do this make sure you get a heart monitor to track the calories you burn and add them back in to your day. If you get through more than a week of this plan it will be an accomplishment. Exercise is really something you should ease in to .

This is HUGE. I come from a family riddled with functioning alcoholics on both sides of my family. In my late teens I realized that not using alcohol to relieve stress, make me happy, or to deal with a problem is what seperates alcoholics and casual drinkers. I also really believe that most people are habitual and when you…

Sorry bud but it's a fact. High insulin levels=weight gain. Sugar and processed foods increase insulin. Therefore they increase weight. America is fat because we eat processed foods in large quantities then when our energy levels drop like rocks from our unusually spiked blood sugar from those 5 dougnuts, we spike it up…

Not true. If you knew anything about Insulin and how it affects weight gain/loss you would understand that maintaining stable levels of blood sugar make sure your body doesn't store fat. Thus eating meals every 2.5-4 hours is important.

You are 100% correct that calories DO matter. That is the most important rule of weight loss. BUT what type of fat you eat, what type of carbs you eat, what type of protein you eat, and WHEN you eat ALL play a role in how fast and effectively you loose weight. Everyone knows that insulin is what makes you gain weight. And…

Your body is in a "fat-storing" mode due to lack of calories and over exercising. You need to jump start it to get it out of this mode. I think that you should try all or one of the following things: 1. Calorie Cycling - This is an easy concept but will make a huge difference. Eat a little more calories one day and a…

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
