  • hi all, I too started in Jan this year at 168lbs. The highest I've ever been. I'm 5ft 2". This was hard to swallow as I've always been athletic and sporty but RA flair ups and mental health issues just made the weight pile on. 6 months later I am a different person. I got back onto running and train three times a week. A…
  • I've been the same usually, but I've joined Team RH and since then I've lost 8 lbs in about 8 weeks. I ALWAYS self sabotage. My niece is getting married in the Florida Keys in November so that's my motivation. I think taking photos and weighing daily has made a huge difference to me. I always weighed weekly or even…

  • 21.03.2017 145.5 (+1lb) Had a weekend of excess celebrating my birthday. Was ok food wise but its the alcohol that did the damage. On a mission for the next week. I'll get rid of that pound and more!
  • Mini goal for me is boring compared to all your great stories. But I want to lose 3lbs more to reach a stone (14lbs) lost. Then my next goal is to get into the 9's.... (9 stone land).
  • Update - weigh in 07.03.2017 = 146lbs (-1.25lbs) DELIGHTED! This week I am cutting out sugar in my coffee (usually have 3 - 4 cups a day) and making sure I eat a meal in the evenings. I meal prep for my lunches in work and then I run/cycle in the evenings and when I get home I don't have an appetite to eat - which I know…

  • Didn't post in a while but I have been lurking. I crashed my bike in Sept and had to get plate and pins in my wrist. That coupled with a two week trip to Miami in Nov and Xmas I put on 2 stone (28pounds). I am 5 ft 2". Since New years day I have lost 8 pounds and my mini goal is to get to 10stone 7. I am now 10 stone…
  • I have RA, diagnosed 7 years ago when I was 30 - after just having my first child. The first two years were tough, finding suitable medication etc. I find alcohol and sugary foods and stress can induce a flair up a few days afterwards. Low carb also helps me. I inject myself with the drug to minimise the side effect of…
  • thanks for the info
  • Wow thanks everyone for all the info. So am I right in saying the fitbit is not going to track my weights/kettlebells workouts so I really need a HRM? Also whats the difference between an expensive HRM and one I can get for €25 in Argos? If my budget is approx €100 - whats my best option? Thanks again :)

  • Im 34 and was diagnosed with RA 5 years ago just after I had my first son. For me I suffered with small joints first (ankles, wrists and knuckles) but as the years went on I suffer more now with the larger joints - hips, shoulders, knees mostly. I have a little bit of an addictive personality - when I decide to do someting…
  • I'd like to join in please. I got to level 2 twice before but had to stop - I've rhumatoid arthritis and it stops me excercise and then I lose all momentum. Saw fantastic results though the two times that I did it. Ive 15 pounds to lose.
  • Today is day 6 for me. I will run 5k twice a week and on the other days I'll do the shred. I started before and got to day 14 and had an arthritis flair up so had to stop, and once I stop I find it very hard to get motivated to do it again. I will take two days off this week - Friday and Saturday as I have my work night…
  • Thanks ! I'm very limited time wise, so I can really only fit in one or the other. I'll give it a go and see what happens :)
  • Wow well done, I see a hige difference. Im in the same boat as you, my baby is 9 months now and I still have 9lbs to go. Only really started in Jan 2013, too lazy before hand. Kepp up the good work :)
  • Wow the photos are great! Well done everyone. I can really really notice the difference. A bit of advice please :) I started the 30DS and got to level 2 day 5 when I had an arthritis flair up in my knee and obviously had to stop. This was 2 weeks ago. I am ok the past few days but just wanted to leave it an extra day or…
  • To be honest to me it sounds like she is a bit envious of your womanly figure/curves etc. Your description of her makes her sound very flat and if she is like that naturally and never works out etc, I would imagine she is jealous and gets a kick out os saying that you are chubby. You are just FANTASTIC in your profile…
  • Ah thanks!! Today was weigh in day, stayed the same, 138pounds. Happy about that tp be honest after the horrific saturday and sunday I had! Had to stop my 30ds due to an arthritis flair up so I'm peed off about that aswell, so I am just going to concentrate on sticking to my plan food wise for this week and give my joints…
