  • Wow, just read your story and I nearly have tears in my eyes. As others have said, I bet your Mom is cheering you on every step of the way through this journey. You are incredibly inspiring. Keep kicking *kitten* and only good things will follow!
  • Hello fellow tall ladies! Age: 23 Location: Ohio Start Weight: 145 Current Weight 138 Goal Weight: 135 (End goal: 140 with a few added pounds of muscle!) Favorite Healthy Snack: Fruit! And my favorite healthy meal is probably baked salmon. Favorite exercise: Currently 30 Day Shred, with a plan to start lifting heavy very…
  • Hey new friend! I'm basically in the same boat. I'm more or less at my goal weight but I just want to be STRONGER and to get some muscle definition. My plan is to start lifting in the next week or so. I just got The New Rules of Lifting for Women in the mail and I am devouring it. It has totally changed the way I look at…
  • Damn! Great results! 30DS is fabulous.
  • Wow, that is an amazing difference already! Keep at it, you have some good tips there too. I agree with your philosophy of "not stopping". Whether you stop or not doesn't matter, it's if you keep going that counts! :)
  • With ya! I'm only 5-10 lbs away from my ultimate goal weight, but right now I'm kinda stuck where I am. I wouldn't mind staying this weight if I could just build some muscle. Feel free to add me and we can commiserate about those last 5+ lbs together. It's a pain. :P
  • The point of the video is to do all of the intervals the way they are laid out. I'm fairly certain Jillian organizes each cycle the way it needs to be to give you the best results. As others have said, if you're just looking for strength training, 30DS is not the best place to look for that. If you're not going to do the…
  • Dead lifts. I use 8 lb hand weights and do about 20-30 reps. Squeeze as hard as you can on the way up! You'll feel it in the morning.
  • Not sure if you've tried Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred or not, but it is a huge help with losing inches around your waist, thighs, back, etc. It's only a half hour but it's a bit of a commitment because it's once a day for thirty days. You won't lose a ton of weight, but you'll tone up what you have and build muscle. You…
  • Evenings. I always feel gross after a workout and have to shower immediately, and then I am ready for bed. :) On a day I don't have much going on I'll work out in the morning, but usually I'd rather sleep in the extra half hour!
  • I am a huge fan of Turbo Jam. It is nowhere near as fast-paced as Turbo Fire but can still be challenging when you want it to be. Chalene always includes one or two people who do the modified, "lower impact" versions of the moves, which are still super effective. Fat Blaster and Punch, Kick and Jam are my two faves. Fat…
  • Wondering the same thing, I just started it myself. It KILLS. Especially the chair pose on one leg - OH DEAR GOD IT BURNS. I figure it has to give good results eventually but I'm too afraid/in pain to do it more than once or twice a week!
  • My favorites are Jillian Michaels (30 Day Shred, Kickbox Fastfix, Ripped in 30, Burn Fat Boost Metabolism, etc) and Turbo Jam. The best calorie burner for me is Turbo Jam: Fat Blaster. It's only 30 min and by the time it's over, I am sweating and panting but it's very fun, so the time goes by quickly. Edit: Just realized…
  • I LOVE her kickboxing video. It's what I turn to when I want a good amount of cardio in a short amount of time. It also really really helps when you've had a crappy day and you just wanna kick the **** out of somebody. :D I'm sure we all have those days! Helps release some tension and aggression and when you're done it…
