  • Goal is 75 miles. So far I have done 6 of the 3 mile workouts and 1 2 mile workout. So, 20 miles down so far.
  • If the above post is accurate and there is truly 81 grams of sugar in this drink, then it is no wonder you don't feel well after consuming it. Nutritional guidelines say that a woman should consume no more than 25 grams of ADDED sugar per day. By added I mean sugars that are intentionally added to foods (processed foods)…
  • I don't do Whole 30, but I do limit my added sugar to less than 25 grams a day. I still eat plenty of fruit and drink milk, so I get plenty of sugar. It's just not added because I'm not eating a lot of processed foods. I love eating this way and have lost nearly 18 pounds since January 1. I feel better. I look better, and…
  • You are glowing now, and you have a beautiful hourglass figure! That is amazing!!!!
  • I walked OUTSIDE for the first time this year! Stupid Michigan winter!
  • Had a staff meeting today, and didn't even touch the cookies or donuts. Skipped the orange juice, too. At lunch time, I ate fish without the bun, a protein muffin, and an orange. The peppermint patties and peanut butter cups sitting 8 inches from me stayed there. VICTORY! Just by limiting my added sugars to less than 25…
  • That's a big pet peeve of mine, too, when people post on things that they really have no vested interest in. If it doesn't concern you, stay out of it.
  • Haha! I'm a plate licker. Although sometimes I just run my finger along the plate and scoop it in that way.
  • I had/have a Bodybugg and every time I've used it, I've stopped losing weight. Last year I was down about 20 pounds, started using my bodybugg, thinking I burned so many calories and I'll just eat 500 less than that and I completely stalled. This year, I said forget that. I'm just going to eat less and if I exercise, I'll…
  • Yes, I have to agree with you in all aspects of your story. If you complete obsess about your weight and make it the sole focus of your life, then you have lost all balance in your life. I've done this, three times. Once after having each of my two children and once last year. This year, I'm just focusing on being…
  • Yes, 170 is my nemesis! I've been going up and down around that number for about 8 months now...Frustrating! Congrats on breaking into the 160s.
  • I've cut out added sugar and white flour. My cravings for sweets are gone. My kids had cupcakes the other day and I didn't even want one. But if there is a bag of chips within 100 feet of me, watch out! I cannot buy chips ever because I have no self control when it comes to chips...
  • Yes, I lived with an exchange student from Taiwan and she was looking at pictures of me as a kid. She then looked at me and told me I had gotten really fat! Definitely a cultural difference there.
  • I bought a book called Get the Sugar Out. What's nice about this book is it gives you 500 tips on how to cut processed sugar out of your diet. There are also some really good recipes in it. There's one for a muffin that has flax seeds and walnuts instead of flour. It uses Vanilla protein powder flavored with Stevia and…
  • I was just reading about this. If you track your potassium as one of the 5 things you can track with your food, notice how many of the foods say zero for potassium. Then actually look up the amounts of potassium in these items. I just did this and realized that my potassium for today was actually 3800 instead of the 1600…
  • Let me ups. They are my nemesis. I can do the ones with knees bent, but as soon as I try to do straight leg, I collapse on the floor. Maybe this year, I will finally be able to accomplish that!
  • Our stats are very similar, although I'm 33 and my kids are 11 and 8. 140 looks AMAZING on you! This helps me to put into perspective what I can look like. I think my ultimate goal is 130, but I guess I'll know when I get close. Right now I'm at 183 and NOT loving the way I look at all! Thanks for the inspiration!
  • So easy to get off track. Last year I had lost 25 pounds, but gained back 12 pounds. I have a total of 65 pounds to lose, so even the 25 I had lost last year was nowhere near what I wanted to lose. Wine is a problem with me, too. 20 ounces of the type of wine I like to drink is 1300 calories. Considering that for about 3…
  • Your story is a true inspiration. Placing your faith and your future in God's hands is a really tough thing to do. I've asked God for help this time, and I'm hoping I have the same success that you have. You look amazing, and so incredibly happy! God bless!
  • I just started the dvd, too, after using the app for a while. I think I'm going to do 2 weeks of the timed sets. Then I'm going to do week 1 and 2 of the app. Then 2 weeks of the circuits. Then weeks 3 and 4 of app. Then 2 weeks of ladders and finish with weeks 5 and 6 of the app. The exercises are completely different…
  • I second the suggestion of You Are Your Own Gym. Best $2.99 I ever spent!
  • Moving Comfort (specifically the Fiona style). I'm a 34 G and mine have lasted for about 6 months now. Super comfortable and reasonable priced, too.
  • I started with YAYOG and then switched to Body By You (the female version of YAYOG). The progressions were much slower but I got really bored. So, now I've gone back to YAYOG. I think what I'm going to do get as far as I can in YAYOG and then either switch out some exercises for easier ones that I can actually do or loop…
  • Congratulations! I've found that breaking weight loss into 10% chunks at a time makes it a lot easier to reach Having only one huge goal can be discouraging. Good luck to you on that 2nd 10%!
  • I was able to do it for 1 month. Then I couldn't take it anymore!!! So, now I'm weighing myself once a week and seeing decent losses between half and 1 pound a week. I'll take it.
  • I just add about 2 seconds to my timer so that I can get into the correct position.
  • Depends on the day. If I'm on my elbows I seem to be able to hold it longer but I think that's because my butt is too high in the air. On my hands, I did a minute today, with intense shaking for about the last 15 seconds of it.
  • Moving Comfort brand (not sure if the online site sends to UK or not)
  • You're down 40 pounds since April. That's an amazing amount of weight! Don't beat yourself up about it. The mental part of weight loss is the most difficult. Learning that it will take a long time and will have to be maintained for life is a very difficult thing. Once you get in that frame of mind, though, it's easier to…
  • At 8 months in, I'm only down roughly 20 pounds. So, if the pattern holds, I will lose about 30 pounds this year. I have a total of 65 pounds I'd like to lose from when I started. I've been frustrated that I haven't lost weight more quickly, too. However, when I look at people who have lost a lot of weight quickly, I don't…
