How soon before you run are you eating a meal? I would eat a meal of easily digestible carbs ~2 hours before your run. You should also slow down to the point where you can at least sort of talk, but not enough where you can sing.

I trail run so scenery, and concntrating on not tripping / breaking my face keeps me pretty entertained. A lot of day's I kind of zone out, and I couldn't tell you what the heck I thought about. I occasionally listen to running podcasts * endurance planet & trail runner nation are my favorites

I dont' have sleep apnea, but I know studies confirm that being overwheight is one of the leading causes of obstructive sleep apnea. I wouldn't say it's guaranteed to go away, but it will very likely be improved I sleep way better than when I was fat

I would recommend 1 workout per week where you keep your long slow run (perhaps end this run with some strides ) 1 interval / fartlek speed work run (running at or preferably above your target race pace). Yes absolutely.. Being male, significantly overweight is pretty much the only exception to the "can't build muscle on a deficit rule" Balance your cardio and strength training, and you will have a better body at your GW

The main thing is to honestly log your calories. If you are willing to put it in your mouth, then you better be willing to put it in your log. this holds you accountable to yourself (which is the most important thing) being accountable to someone else leads to sneak eating

It depends on your current level of fitness. If you body can absorb that level of training and it works for you then go for it. I use it sometimes to fit in a speed work session a few hours after strength training (before doms sets in) Don't do it all the time. Constantly changing things up keeps you progressing

you don't find much on them b/c they don't work well. don't love the strap, but you get used to it pretty quick
