well done for taking a big step towards a healthy life!! It takes guts to deal with yourself honestly and by putting this up as a post, you've begun to make yourself accountable for your food. Well Done!!!!!

Hi! I work away from home fairly regularly and have faced this same issue. Personally I find that if I plan to get some exercise while I'm away and try to make sensible food choices where I can, it sort of balances out. If you can find time for a walk or a run or even to use the gym if there is one that will help - you…

I'd like in on this group please! I'm 5'6 and have always been heavier than I look because I carry my weight evenly spread all over. I have a big frame but my goal is to be healthy rather than skinny, so my goal is 190 and then we'll see how it goes.

Dear 16 year old me, Stop fighting your mum over everything, get to know her because she won't be around much longer. Go to university no matter what it costs you personally, it will be sooooo worth it, and he isn't 'the one' anyway! You're brother will always be an idiot. Your dad will be there for you when it all goes…

I started at about the same weight as you last year and am now at 236lbs and I'm running 3 times a week. I started with just walking more each day. Seriously, sort out your diet, log everything you eat and drink and just get out for a walk every day to start with, it doesn't have to be long, ten minutes is a start and you…

I weigh myself every other Sunday and measure myself on the one in between, I have to be disciplined about it because I can be really obssessive otherwise, but, I do find that so far I've lost weight and inches, so am basically happy with doing it this way.

I come from a small market town in the north of England. Everyone thinks I'm going to be thick and living on benefits, in reality I have two degrees and am a highly skilled professional.

I weigh myself every 2 weeks, because if I do it more often I get a bit obsessive about it.
-
I just feel fitter and healthier in myself generally. Specifically my varicose veins are improving and are no longer painful, my asthma is much better controlled and I have more confidence in myself.

We used to have a KFC at least once or twice a week. Last week we walked past our local branch and neither of us could stomach the smell of it.

congratulations on the running - you're doing a fantastic job! Maybe your mom simply doesn't understand why you are taking care of yourself - she hasn't worked out that a fitter, healthier you is going to have more energy to be a parent. Keep going, you're an inspiration to everyone who struggles to balance their time!

Yay!!!! What a great feeling that must have been. Well done for putting in the work and seeing some results.

I build into my week a day where I am allowed to not worry about what I eat, I still log it, but if I go over the numbers I don't sweat it. Well done for making the decision to change - you won't regret it!

yes it is a bit unfair but the best way to get over that is to get fit and healthy - personally I try to save the stomping for things that are seriously unfair like poverty or human trafficking
