  • I wanted to move this thread back to the front page. One of my favorite threads on this board. :-)
  • Quick question for the community, especially those with children... I'm really struggling finding time to ride. How do you juggle family time with little kids (age 5&3)/work/other life responsibilities and have time to ride? My schedule goes some thing like this... 6:00 - kids up; get ready for school and daycare 7:20 -…
  • I set an aggressive goal (for me) last month and then had numerous scheduling conflicts that interfered with riding. I'll set this month's goal at 175 miles again. 9.5 21.6 miles MTD 21.6 Miles To Goal: 153.4
  • When I was lifting and running, my lower body routine was the leg press machine, deadlift using the hex bar, and the calf raise machine. That was plenty with running three days a week.
  • Took the girls out in the carrier tonight. 100 extra pounds to pull. 8/2: 10.4 miles 8/4: 11.1 miles 8/12: 11.1 miles 8/12: 6.2 miles MTD: 38.8 miles Remaining: 136.2 miles
  • I really enjoy reading on the forums. There are a lot of knowledgeable posters here. So, I have a questions for those knowledgeable people  If a person doesn't have a heart rate monitor, how can one estimate how many calories they burn from cycling? Is there a formula that you can plug some variables in to? For…

  • @ CindyNeid.... Good pick on the Huffy bike. That's the exact model my daughter has now, minus the sleigh. My daughter will be 6 at the end of October and she's already 49" and wights 60 pounds. She really enjoys loading the bikes up and going to one of our local trails and riding. I'm hoping that if she has a more…

  • Hi everyone! Pretty new to cycling and want to get in on the challenge. I'll shoot for 175 miles this month. 8/2: 10 miles
  • I use mine nearly every day. I use spinach, fatfree/plain greek yogurt, strawberries, grapes, blueberries, blackberries, banana, and oatmeal. It's really good. I've also used avacados, cashews, kale, pumpkin seeds, oranges, etc. It would be a worthwhile purchase, IMO.
  • I have a juicer and, to be honest, I dont like using it. As others have alluded to, you throw a lot of valuable stuff out with a juicer. I got a Nutribullet for my birthday and have used it nearly every day for the last two months. I would highly recommend it over juicing. Every morning I start off with a couple handfuls…
  • I used my NutriBullet for breakfast. Veggies were spinach and carrots. Fruits were strawberries, banana, blackberries, and blueberries. I try to drink about 75 oz of water daily.
  • When I decided that I needed to make some lifestyle changes, I signed up for MFP and set out to lose some weight. At that time, I mistakenly thought that weight loss was the only measurement/metric that mattered. So, at one time I was scale obsessed. As I started reading the message boards and learning about becoming more…
  • I use Annex Gold from Complete Nutrition. There are 22g protein and 120 cal in one scoop, or 5.4cal per protein gram . I mix mine with water. Taste is ok too.
  • My wife just recently discovered this recipe. We tried it the other night and much to my surprise it was really good. http://www.plainchicken.com/2012/03/wheres-crust-pizza.html
