That scale is a fickle beast. I usually swing up and down a few pounds, even if the trend is downward so one week (or two... and I've had months like this) isn't indicative of progress or lack thereof. I try to just focus on doing what I'm doing positively for my health and believe that, in the long run, that will be more…

Thanks for doing all of this for us! I feel like this group is just the kickstart I need so I don't get complacent and continue to work towards my goals.
-
My goal is to log everything. This group has helped me to get back to doing that but I'm really bad with routines so I'm still having to work really hard at remembering to log.

Can I just state for the record: I hate burpees! They send my heart rate skyrocketing! We did an all burpee workout last week in boot camp (there are lots of different kinds of burpees-- go figure) and it was torture! I'm going to work on push-ups. May also try to do this ab challenge:…

Wow! What great stories you all have! I signed up on MFP about 2 years ago. I was doing one of those "buy your food from us" diet plans. It gave me a good start but didn't really work once I started incorporating exercise. Lost about 25 pounds with that plan (December through March) then began adding in more and more…

Burpees are too hard for me but I'm trying to do the squats. I'd love to work core and arms. Crunches, planks, sit-ups, tricep dips ... even push-ups (but I'll have to take them slow, maybe 1 more each day and concentrate on good form). I'd be very excited to be able to do 25 good push-ups at the end of a month.

Just joined this week but I'm impressed by how well you are all doing! I teach and classes just started up this week so have been settling into a new routine. After the chaos of the holidays, that will be a welcome change.

I've had all three-- the Zip, the Flex and the One. The Zip and One clip onto clothing. If you go that route, get a bright color so that they don't go through the wash (i.e. Fitbit death). Personally, the Flex works the best for me. I can wear it 24/7. The hardest part is remembering to charge, though you can get warnings…

ZR is much more interesting to me than The Walk which keeps shutting off or shutting down. You guys are doing great! The 5K app does a great job, I think, at helping to build that endurance. I'm still slow when I run but have decided I'm not going to care... at least I get out there and do it (though, not right now because…

No running for me for the next 6 weeks. I probably should run The Walk app b/c I'll be putting in 10-15K steps/day but I'll be missing Sam and Dr. Myer for sure! You're doing great, _thirtytwo! I don't think I hit 5 K until about Week 6 (maybe even later)!

The group comes and goes. As stated below, a lot of activity has moved to Facebook-- very supportive atmosphere, some fun games/polls, and great pics of runs. I don't always remember to check in but I try.

I think you can try it for free for a week to see if it is helpful to you.
-
Wow! That's great, RiverCameron! Look at you go!

Yes, asp415 is absolutely right! If you're out of breath, you're going too fast. Once it starts, don't think about how long it is *going* to last... just put one foot in front of the other and think about now. And before you know it, you'll have done it!
-
I used to get freaked out, too, when I would look ahead at the next weeks on the 5K training app but then I'd remind myself just to focus on now... whether it be that day, that workout or sometimes even this step. That helped me a lot. Have a great run, Runner 5! You can do it!
-
That's great, Ready2run! ZR is a blast!

It took me 4 months to complete ZR 5K! I'm now on S2. I don't run the full 5K (though I did at the end of the training app) but I'm now working towards an official 5K at the end of April and plan to run the whole thing (I know I can do it but just can't yet do it 3 times a week!). When doing the training, I kept repeating…
-
Welcome, Minka! I did the ZR 5K last fall, finished S1 last month and am now on S2. I've also been using the C25K app for a training class but it's not nearly as much fun. Glad you are enjoying ZR, too!
-
Wish I could help but I'm on an iPhone. But I do want to welcome you to ZR and wish you much success!
-
I did one of the supply runs. It was a real dud. So I'm not planning on doing any more unless I'm all caught up and desperate! :-)
-
These are really helpful! Thanks, everyone!
-
I did and it was worth it! At first, it was hard not having the story to motivate me forward but I think Jack & Eugene are so funny! There's clearly an ending to the Season 1 radio mode and I really enjoyed it!
-
You're doing great, darkling! That must have been a great boost to your confidence to feel so strong. I could never figure out exactly what to do during those stretches so I mostly touched my toes, pulled heel up to derriere then just walked! I just signed up for a 5K training class for the official run that takes place at…

I remember those knee lifts. They were killers-- but I figured if they were that hard then they must be good for me! :-) You are both doing great!
-
Just sent you a ZR friend request… name is Aubepine12. Welcome, darkling_glor, to the world of Zombies! I just started Season 2 today. Man, there were a lot of zombies moaning and groaning today! :-) Stay safe out there, runners 5!

The Facebook Group is here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/205649742946802/ It's also posted in the MFP Zombies, Run! group (which is different from the Zombies, Run! 5K training group). I was afraid it would be lots of really good runners in there, but it's a nice mix of newbies and veteran runners. Everyone is very…

Hi, Nuka! Yes, this group tends to be pretty quiet but the Facebook page for Zombies, Run! stays fairly active. You are doing much better than I did! I don't think I ran any of the free forms until about week 6 (and it probably took me about 10 weeks to get to week 6 because I kept repeating weeks/workouts). But, then, I'm…

Thanks, donyellemoniq. I'll just have to decide whether I really want to do the supply runs or not-- maybe save for days when I mostly just want the music. asp415: I agree-- the story lines are great and really motivating. Truly enjoyed Season 1 and Season 1 Radio Mode but the Season 1 Supply Missions aren't that…

Oh no! That's painful! Hope you feel better soon!

I completed the training app in December. It took me 4 months working at it twice a week but it was a very proud moment! I'm now in the regular season and I run about 3 km (completing about 4.5-5 km) three times a week now. While training, I ran laps around the park and got to recognize the people there regularly. I made…
