Ps. I also eat a big salad before a meal if I'm feeling extra hungry.

I weigh things. I also stick to foods that are filling. :-)

Hey guys!!! I am a runner and I am training for a full. In my opinion we runners need carbs.... Quality carbs. So if u look at my diary I definitely get enough carbs. I shoot for 55-60% carb and 20-25 protein. I try to stick to quality fats. Checkout halhigdon.com for info on this. Lots of good articles. U have to build ur…

U went thru way too much guilt for that cupcake. Live a little. It's okay to enjoy food by choice. It's also okay to politely pass on cake etc. do u eat a cupcake or hibachi everyday... One a week.... Twice a week? Me neither.... Keep the big picture in mind. Not trying to be judgmental just want u to be okay with ur…
-
Ps. When u can.... Look into better shoes. It makes all the difference. Go to a running specialty shop and have them fit u.
-
Duct tape over a band aid works well to run again if u want to....

i don't know what you need or want to lose. or how much you currently weigh. but for a 19 year old, 5'4'' who is 1400 lbs, here is the amount needed to MAINTAIN your weight: 2017 cals. so if you are eating 1200 you are at a deficit of 800 cals. that's kind of a big defecit..... nutritionadata.com has a fabulous daily needs…

the body is such an amazing thing. if we eat 1200 calories long term, we could easily gain since our body has to slow down it's "engine" due to the low amount of fuel.... thus our inclination of staying at 1200 calories.... don't ignore your hunger. unless you had a HUGE eating day the day before, if you are constantly…

thanks for all the great input!!! it's totally spot on that you can't paint any of this with a broad brush.... and i agree there is no need to focus on the 1200 calorie mark, but yet i see SO MANY people stuck there. i can't imagine what they must be eating. i mean, i eat 5 times a day... that would mean i would barely get…

i am confused. what are you advocating?
-
perhaps i should clarify. you will LOSE. but your body will HALT at some point. then, it's not impossible to continue to lose. BUT for healthy LIFELONG weightloss and maintenance, YOU HAVE TO EAT. just sayin'. opinions are like belly buttons. :-) PS. what works for you may not work for me and vice versa. but all i know is…

well, running is free. :) look into couch to 5k plans online.... but if you really want intense, check out INSANITY. i am a rep so msg me if you want any info at all.... not free, but you just buy the program and own it to do it at your own pace, at home, etc. otherwise, i would run.... and that's my fave workout...…

hello. i know exactly what you mean. what i have found to be helpful, after a lifetime of fat issues... is realizing that it's not a diet. it truly cannot be a diet.... because diets end. and this will never end. this is a lifelong journey for health and fitness. there will be days of cake and chips, but there will MOSTLY…

i would go by my home scale if i were you....
-
it is imperative that your net calores (input - exercise cals = net) does not go below 1200. this is the minimum amount required for most humans (women) to live at a basic level. if you go too far below, you can damage your metabolism and thus slow down your "burn" despite your efforts. not sure about the gain on the…

I am a HUGE fan of PB2. It's extremely amazing and yet only has 45 cals. I put it into my smoothies in the morning.... but you can also use it for any other PB use. It is powdered, so you add water and make it to your own liking in terms of consistency. I sometimes put it into cool whip, YUM. Here's a link if you want to…

I do a lot of healthy life brand or Sara Lee 45 cal bread. But I rarely eat it and thats what we have in the house. If it were totally up to me I would have Ezekiel sprouted bread.

are you a runner? dropping carbs IS NOT a good idea. it's not going to sufficiently fuel your body. eat carbs, but eat GOOD ones that are full of whole grains, and fiber. but to cut them out, or very low... is not a smart choice. carbs are your energy source, they are the gas in your tank. PLUS if you go low carb, you will…

just my two cents... but you CANNOT live by the scale. the scale should not be your source of motivation OR guilt. it's just not accurate and it can change on a whim. PLUS. when you reach goal... you will go crazy because your weight naturally fluctuates. i am a HUGE advocate of looking to other indicators for success. how…

give it a try for two weeks (whatever you choose) and then adjust your intake from there. there is no magic solution or equation... just trial and error. :)
