OMG YES! in fact... that's shaun in my pic! LOL

just stay consistent... and maybe start taking an inventory of whether or not your body really 'needs' to get rid of those trouble spots you think of... it's not possible to spot treat (as you probably know) unless you want surgery. but it's not worth it.... so keep up with good eats, less processed foods, and lots of…

I would have to say as well that you are getting enough... are you trying to eat low carb?
-
don't settle.... keep pushing... and put yourself first. you may have to get up early or stay up late to get your workouts in... you may have to say no to eating some things... but your health and well being is 100% worth it. move more and eat in moderation... it's for life! you can do this!

LOVE the advice, and for what it's worth i will add to this... i saw a dietitian last summer and asked her advice as i was not sure of my intake, etc. she liked that i was 50-60% carbs because of my intense workouts and long runs. since i haven't looked at your diary, idk what types of carbs you are consuming... but i just…

yes, i agree with top poster 100%, a GREAT running store will absolutely help you out.... most people that i know who buy five fingers just seem to like the novelty.... it's really a die hard thing to want to run completely "natural" IMHO.
-
i am a runner... of 2 years.... and i know almost NOTHING about five fingers BUT.... my gut tells me that you need more support. i just don't see how running almost completely unsupported can be good for your feet, alignment, gait, etc.

something that i find helpful is NOT taking anything OFF my food list.... i can eat a little of that cake or ice cream... and i'm good. some people can't do this, but i don't like to feel deprived... otherwise a binge is bound to happen. nothing is off limits in a life of moderation.
-
hey there. deep breath! you can do this.... break it up into small parts. take it one meal at a time... one bite at a time if you need to... enjoy the moments between meals... find something active you enjoy. don't be too hard on yourself and try to remember BIG PICTURE and that this is truly a lifelong journey... one bad…

what's even cooler is when you have a lb of fat next to a lb of muscle.... it's SO crazy how much more dense muscle truly is.
-
just do a general search and look for items that have been confirmed several times... OR go to nutritiondata.com and look it up and add your own food. :) hope that helps!
-
CONGRATS! wow... i totally remember that feeling... enjoy !!!
-
hey there, LOVE your goals... it is so important to be kind to yourself. and moderation, i too struggle with this. i am VERY all or nothing... but i have learned that happiness is within the gray shades in all things of life... good luck, but i don't think you will need it.... welcome!
-
that sounds simply AMAZING!
-
I would have to agree with those above who said you need to eat more.... our bodies are amazing at adapting... but keep in mind it takes over 2 weeks to see changes after making tweaks, etc.
-
everyone is different and you are going to have to find what works for you.... that being said.... i can offer my advice/experience. i worked out 7 days a week, and lived to burn cals.... it got to the point that if i didn't workout i felt like a loser... or like i would have to limit my intake. so it kind of turned into…

I find it very easy to eat clean after almost 2 years of trying different things. I have found a few staple recipes that I have almost everyday. As far as cooking goes, you can make a stirfry out of just about any veggies and add meat, etc. Rice, quinoa, or rice noodles are great for a stirfry too.... most "dinner" meals…

sometimes you just have to have a cookie... one cookie is not going to derail your efforts. think big picture.

WOW, there are a lot of us. we are a "rare" breed... but yet there are so many. food is my true addiction, and i feel i will be in recovery for life.... :-) so nice to see that we are not alone. PS. YOU CAN DO THIS.... one small step at a time!!!!
-
resume normalcy asap... and store this memory in the front so next time you may stop earlier... been there girl!!!!

slow and steady wins the race. keep it up. :)
-
idk how much you weigh... but that is NOT a lot of cals, and are you eating back your workouts cals?? if not... i would say you are definitely NOT eating enough. and if you are over 130 LBS you are DEFINITELY starving yourself... the body will not let go if it doesn't know from where it will get its next meal..... hope…

my pleasure. :) this is my PASSION in life... now that I know I can do it.. ANYONE CAN.
-
Thanks guys! I am glad I was able to help some of you... and many of you have your own experiences too, and I am SURE you could add to my list. The biggest point is that YOU can do it! About the stevia... I know there are a lot of brands out there that claim to be "stevia" but there are several parts of the stevia plant…

slow and steady wins the race. if you are a slow loser, and LEARN as you LOSE, you will maintain much easier..... :) just sayin'....
-
You can do it! The power is WITHIN YOU! MFP and all the other tools out there are just that, TOOLS... but you are putting the work in... the blood, sweat, tears.... ALL YOU!
-
yep, welcome to the double edged sword that is not having clothes that fit! i HATED this part of weight loss and i got so sick of everyone saying "well it's really not a bad problem to have" and it's like... YES it is.... because you work so hard that you want the clothes to fit you to flatter the body that you now have...…

first of all, keep in mind it gets easier as you go forward... one good day leads to more good days. but what really helps me is not having that "delicious" stuff in the house. secondly, i eat on a schedule since i don't actually know if i am hungry or bored most of the time... so i eat at 6:30am, 11am, 3pm, 6pm and…

it has something to do with the size of a serving popped vs. unpopped.... usually with popcorn i weight it out once it's popped. if you do a quick google search you can find the weight (in grams) and use that as a guideline. popcorn is confusing that way. :)

without a doubt it will get better. i wouldn't freak out too much about your HR and i would pay more attention to your breathing and whether or not you can talk. if you can't talk, you are running too fast. your body will become more accustomed to running the more you do. congrats on starting out, running has been one of…
