The Reading Group by Elizabeth Noble I'm about to start reading Twenties Girls by Sophia Kinsella as well And I write books, so I'm also rereading first drafts of a couple of my own pieces :)

I had just spent Christmas with my then boyfriend's family and his mom bought me a shirt that was so tight, I felt like a giant whale. I was embarrassed to wear it and she thought that I hated the present. I couldn't even express to him how I felt about it, that I kept everything hidden. A week after I came home, on a…

Honeycrisp is delicious but expensive. I like pink lady or lady alice to eat (besides red delicious) and fuji to put in salads. Galas are also yummy. I usually look at the little info thing at the grocery store that tells what the apple is best for (pies, salad, etc) and what they taste like. I like sweet, crispy apples.…

Ain't that the truth! 15 months for me. I had stretches of 2-3 months before that, with 7 months being the longest. Long distance relationships suck. Last time I saw him and we were still dating was Jan 2013. Broke up in May, and I'm just not ready to date. And hooking up is not something I would do. Sex and love, for me,…

Walking is totally a great exercise. I don't have a gym anywhere near my house, so I have to work with what I have. For me, that means a treadmill, some dumbbells, and a 3 mile road with a few steep hills. I bought a fitbit last month to get a better measurement of my workouts and it turned out that I walk quite a bit…

That is 20 lbs on her?? She looks healthy and radiant! No longer the skeleton she was at the finale. Hopefully she has found a size she is comfortable at and has a healthy relationship with food. I was getting really worried about her being that thin at her height. Good job, Rachel!

A little shy, but knows he's cute ;)

Feel free to add! I log in daily, open diary, and try to motivate the best I can.

I average about 1500 calories. It depends on the day though. Sometimes I'm just really hungry I will eat 1800-2000 calories. I don't always eat back my calories but I do try to net at least 1200 most days. SW: 242.2 CW: 217.6 GW: 153-ish. Gotta find what works for you and ignore the nay-sayers :)

Biggest Loser? That's seriously the only thing I can think of save for surgery, amputation, and developing an eating disorder. None of which I would suggest. Watch what you eat, get moving, lift weights, and whatever you lose, you lose. After three months I hit a plateau that lasted nearly 6 months. Be realistic; 1-2 lbs a…

To be honest, no, I do not think you were being oversensitive. Weight loss journeys are extremely personal and if you are not mentally ready for a change, then it doesn't matter how much badgering family will give you, only YOU can decide when to start. I went through a similar experience with my dad. All throughout high…

If I'm going to be completely honest, fashion. I don't feel comfortable in my body, I hate pictures of myself, and I would like to one day date a guy who isn't smaller than me. That being said, I am using fitness to get there. They go hand in hand. My current goal is fitness but my ultimate goal is fashion.

23, almost 24. Anyone can add me :)

Yes! I am not the only one whose shorts do that! For that reason I am worried about the summer as I walk/run on my street. I'm considering the capri pants that I work out in at home for my outside workouts. My shorts also seem to fall off my hips when I run. Not a pretty feeling constantly needing to pull your shorts up…

YES! The one time I tried on Spanx for my best friend's wedding, I couldn't get them on. I gave up ever wearing Spanx.

You know how many pairs of pants I used to go through because of this?! I have a lot of pants that are in good condition with the exception of the thighs.

I work out at home so I don't have to feel like an idiot at the gym. I've never lifted weights (except for one time during gym class in high school 5 years ago) and I'm terrified to go to the gym and be judged for doing it all wrong. I know eventually I have to start strength training, which I am dreading that day, but the…

This was a topic my (now ex) boyfriend's mother and I got into once. She was a stay at home mom for a really long time (I believe around 18-20 years) and I was raised with both parents working. She (and her son) had a difficult time understanding why women would give up staying at home with their children to have a career.…

Congratulations!! It is all in the smile on your face. You look absolutely amazing, such an inspiration. Welcome to your life; enjoy it, embrace it, and do what YOU want to do with it :) Psychology is a great field and though I don't know you personally, I can tell you will do amazing things with a degree. Keep up the…

I have it too. I like to pretend that it is the start of some kick *kitten* abs that I one day may or may not have. I'm assuming it will go away as we lose weight. So no worries, you are NOT a freak!

Around 300 a day. It's winter here, so when we get hit with a lot of snow, I like to shovel. Then it's closer to 600. It also depends on my food and my schedule, but I try to stick arouns 300-400. When the snow melts and I can do more things outside, I will up it to 500-800

Okay, for some reason it wouldn't let me edit my original post. Here's mine (again): SW: 242.2 CW: 236.8 GW: 230 Weigh in Dates: 2/3 - 236.8 2/10 - 236.8 2/17 - 236.8 2/24 - 234.8 Total weight lost: 2lbs :( I hit a mini plateau with maintaining for a few weeks until I changed my settings here. Let's hope March is a better…

I have only had to deal with TOM once thus far and I actually maintained my weight (down to the .8 of a pound). I'm also on BC to regulate my TOM and have been on BC for like 7 or 8 years. Like you, I expected a gain, so I was surprised when I didn't see a gain. What I suggest doing is hop on the scale and if it is a gain,…

I am doing the same thing as you. I have a protein shake that I make and I used Yoplait's greek yogurt but with the greek yogurt and the protein mix, I'm already at 38g of sugar and I'm only allotted 32g I believe. It's frustrating because diabetes runs in my family. I just lost my aunt two and a half weeks ago to it :(
