I had two sessions with a trainer and wish I could do more. I got them because I lift and wanted to make sure my form was good for the exercises I do. While I found that my form was pretty good, what I didn't realize was just how much weight I could move! My trainer verified my form and then she pushed me to see what I…

It probably varies by location but the one I contacted told me $49 activation fee and $63 per month for my husband and I. I don't know what a single costs and you'd probably want to just message the location you're interested in to double check.

Yes.

My husband's lunches are usually our dinner leftovers. Sometimes he can heat them up but if he's out on a job site he can't so he just eats them cold. Some things are actually really good cold. You could also do salads, sandwiches or wraps or as someone else posted, Bento boxes.

allrecipes.com has lots and the thing I like about that site is the recipes are well reviewed. I always read the comments section to see what people thought of the recipes or tweaks they might have made. Taste of Home's website is another good one because all their stuff tends to be reader submitted and well tested by…

I was just pointed to this thread so if it's all right, I'm going to post my goal for tomorrow. I've long wanted to take a class at my gym and tomorrow at 9:00 am they have a yoga class. I am going to go do yoga tomorrow morning.

I don't know about sugar content but my preference is the Synergy stuff. I've had some pretty nasty tasting ones so now I'm afraid to try anymore new ones.

I'm in WA too and you can do this. If you're getting overwhelmed, just focus on one habit at a time or set some smaller goals. I've found it's much easier for me to stick with things if I have both short and long term goals instead of just "I want to lose a large amount of weight in X amount of time." You can…

Fiber one bars. We call them "fart bars" and they are unsafe when you have Taekwondo class.

Ten years ago I lost 50 pounds and while I wouldn't call my 10 year old daughter a "downside" she was certainly a surprise.

I second either the yoga or some sort of stretching and relaxation before bed. I use my foam roller on my back and do some simple stretches in the evening. Then I listen to an app I have that's got relaxing sounds and binaural beats that somehow magically make me sleep through the night whereas before I'd wake up a…

I've been gluten free for almost four years and gained weight when I first cut the gluten because I was trying out so many new recipes. Gluten free isn't magically going to make you lose weight. I count calories and I don't eat grain or potatoes for medical reasons. :)

Go look up Bret Contreras, aka "The Glute Guy". He's written a book called Strong Curves that has quite a focus on the butt. I got it from my library but he has lots of info on his website.

Sort of but it's because there are some foods that I can't eat due to allergies or intolerances. For example, I can't eat potatoes but they all can so if I'm making soup or something I'll separate mine from theirs before adding potatoes to it. I don't do "diet" food and have enough to do without cooking separate meals for…

I'm smaller now than I was before I had four kids. The oldest is 20 and the youngest is 10 and I'm in my 40's. I lost quite a bit and must have looked pretty good because we had our 4th as a surprise but even after she was born I not only lost the pregnancy weight but got even smaller because I'd added lifting. I intend to…

Myself, my son and one of my daughters all get migraines when we eat gluten. We had no idea that cutting gluten would result in the migraines going away but it was a really, really nice surprise. I don't know if you've ever considered a food intolerance but it might be worth a look.

Some previous neighbors on one side had a shoot out in our back yards. That was exciting but thankfully they've moved on.

I wouldn't be able to eat there because of my food intolerances. Not one thing on the menu would be safe for me. Maybe you should get a food intolerance so you can pick the restaurant, lol. Really, even if I could eat that stuff, none of it sounds appealing. Good luck.

I drink coffee with a little half and half every day and it hasn't hindered anything. It's only about 64 calories for the amount of creamer I use so it's not like I'm drinking a calorie bomb every morning. If I were having a 400 calorie latte then yes, that could mess me up if I didn't adjust the rest of my day for it.

I've made some progress in this area since adding barbell squats and deadlifts. It probably doesn't seem like that would help but when you're trying to hold everything tight while you lift it must get the pelvic floor involved too. I can do more than 20 jumping jacks without peeing now and even got to 180 pounds on my…

Pretty much the first thing I do when I walk in the door is whip my bra off and fling my shoes off. Sleeping in it would be awful but if it helps you be more comfortable then do what you've gotta do! ETA because I forgot Age: 43 Bra Size: 36D

I discovered that I can do at least 20 jumping jacks without peeing my pants and also that when I deadlifted 185 pounds (1 x 5) I didn't pee then either. I have four children, it's been an issue. :) I also discovered that I can take off a favorite pair of pants without unfastening them.

Can you ask a gym employee to show you how to use the equipment in question? I didn't know how to use the assisted pull up machine so I asked the kid at the desk and he showed me in two seconds and didn't make me feel stupid at all.
-
I like the first one. It makes you look long and lean and emphasizes your narrow waist. Plus, you know... cleavage.

OOOH!!! Yes!

Your car is SO cool! (Do you feel better now?) :) Really, it is though. I drive a 20 year old suburban, which is really just a station wagon on steroids so I'd better just go to the gym.

Nope! That was it! You can grill or bake, whichever suits you.

I weigh in all the time but I'm not bothered by the scale number. I don't really put a whole lot of focus on it so one would wonder why I'm always stepping on the scale! :D If it bothers you or you know it will maybe you should just put the scale away for awhile and focus on hitting your other goals. The scale is a…
