I'd like to second that. I have lost 22lbs and couldn't have done so without MFP and the people on it. Thanks everyone!

Thanks for that - the averages for the month are high because I recently recalculated tdee for the first time in a while and it was much lower than it was before - I've actually been pretty good at sticking to my target, honest! Thanks for the advice, I will follow it. And have a great vacation!

In a local park with my dog - on week seven of c25k. I have to take a pocketful of cheese and leave a trail for her. It's like hansel and gretel. Otherwise she just sits and refuses to run after me. What is a bit embarrassing is that when I run, she barely breaks into a trot ...

I always use it for high calorie foods (pasta, butter etc) where a bad guess makes a big difference

I've just finished week 6. It is hard, but great! Stick with it

Gulp! Tomorrow is week 5day3. TWENTY MINUTES!!!! Sounds impossible to me, but will give it my best shot. Wish me luck.

For the first two months I cut out processed sugars - cakes, biscuits, fizzy drinks etc - because these were the things I tended to eat far too much of, and for me it was easier to cut them out completely than eat them in moderation initially. I felt I had to break a habit. I now eat these things again, but much less…

I lost 5lbs the first week, then nothing for three weeks, the a fairly steady 1 to 2lbs since. Not sure why it happened, but don't get disheartened if next week isn't the same!

I eat tons of fruit and have been losing at a steady rate - I have cut right back on processed sugars though which often come bundled with fat eg cake, biscuits etc). I ignore the sugar count on MFP when it applies to fruit

I'm on week 4 day 3, finding it hard but good - I was very breathless after 5 mins running and my legs ached, but I made it. Doubt it was even 12 mph though! For those of you that are further ahead, what's the hardest week do you think?

I just got back from holiday in crete (10 days) and only put on half a lb even though we ate out most nights. I tried to make healthy choices on menus - ie avoided things that had been stewed in oil, or were dripping in sugar. I drank moderately. However, I didn't fret to much and fully expected to have gained a few lbs…

I forgot my all time favourite: the beef and ale casserole. Would be perfect for a slow cooker and is really tasty
-
I love the lamb, potato and spinach curry (this could probably be adapted to slow cooker) and the Harissa chicken would be a good one for after work - the salad can be made in advance and the chicken takes less than 10 mins to cook (and is delicious). The Spanish style chicken bake (not sure if that is the right name) is…

You say: My baby is 9 months old and im also 8 months pregnant That is enough of an explanation i think. By all means ask your doctor for tests - you might be vitamin deficient, and it is certainly worth checking, but meanwhile: Be kind to yourself! Babies are tiring, broken sleep is exhausting, being pregnant is tiring…

You tell your story really well. I love the way you describe your ambivalence about your old self - how you feel the same but different, and feel bad about using your old self as a 'before' pic. You write very well, and up look fantastic! I am full of admiration!

Thanks for posting - I am in exactly the same boat, in my second week after a lifetime of hating running. The encouragement people have given so far is great to read. So thanks for posting and thanks to all those who have replied

Well done! You have made an amazing change and in only 50 days. You should be very proud. And I love the way you've trained our kids! At 11 and 14 mine aren't quite so encouraging ("oh mum, shut up about calories!")!

That is amazing, well done! I gave up on 30DS after day 11 (ie day one of level 2) because I ended up with pain in both feet that lasted about three week s. I wondered if the warm up/ cool down exercises weren't good enough. Did you experience any injuries? Or do more stretching than in the DVD? I am tempted to give it…

Very inspiring. I keep reading bout weights on MFP ... One day I will get it together to give it a go!
-
Thanks everyone - lots of good advice. It'll be weird not weighing myself every day (but good for me probably!)

Definitely interested if I fit your criteria once revealed!

Hairy dieters beef and ale casserole. I love hairy dieters everything!

Anyone?

Wow.

I don't have gym membership so was relying on home DVDs - started with 30 day shred which was great BUT I dont think she includes enough warm up or cool down exercises. after 10 days of the workouts both my feet are now crocked so can't do any impact exercise at all - even walking hurts at the moment. My sister had the…

I'm in a similar position - pain in my foot so can't do my exercise DVDs any more. I am doing swimming because I always think the support of the water is good (hope that's right - im no expert!). i would love to hear other people's suggestions

To celebrate my first stone lost I bought a jacket - first time I'd Ben shopping since dieting. I bought a size Small! I am small - 5'3" and slight build, but have been wearing size large for more than a decade. Couldn't believe it.

What a cute baby! Big congratulations from London!
