I absolutely love brussel sprouts! But my guilty pleasure is, hands down, crunchy peanut butter. :)

Agreed. Because muscle is denser than fat, this means you'll weigh heavier but be leaner, leading people to think you are lighter. People normally think I am 175-180 lbs, when I'm closer to 200 lbs.

I think it's just that the jump, as earlier mentioned, was too dramatic. Going from 4 min to 20 min is a 500% increase. Train the heart like any other muscle. That kind of increase is like going from curling 10 lbs to 50 lbs. I'd recommend building it slowly and incrementally. Go to 6 minutes for a few days, then try 10…

The person who recommended I eat fat-free peanut butter. I bought it, took one bite, and nearly vomited. It was gross. Some things are not meant to be fat-free and if you want to build muscle and burn fat, you need to consume good fats, etc.

I use Nike Free shoes. They are lightweight and comfortable but still provide cushion and support without being too much. I do a lot of running but find these shoes to be pretty good for just working out. In terms of lightweight sneakers, these are my preferred shoes.

Hey everyone! My name is Clayton, 25 years, somewhat of a fitness enthusiast after I lost over 100 lbs a few years ago, and I live in Los Angeles, CA! I've been using MFP off and on for a few years but wanted to recommit myself to it and to connecting with others who share similar interests and goals. :)

Not really. I've consulted with several physical trainers about nutrition and timing and most experts just recommend tailoring your eating around your workouts to maximize performance and results. If you work out at 8 PM, you want to eat a pretty light dinner around 6 or 6:30pm (at the latest). Give it a hour or so to get…
