I am on this site quite a bit and log every day, good or bad. I also offer encouragement and support when my friends need it. If you are looking for food ideas don't look at my diary. We tend to eat the same things each week so there is nothing exciting there. Feel free to add me :)

bump for the challenge

I stuck with the 3 days a week (Tues/Thurs/Sat or Sun). There were times that I wanted to increase frequency but everyone suggested that I stick with the program as it is so that is what I did. I did not want to risk injury.

Definately C25K program, I used the Zen labs ap I finished a month ago and I never thought I would be able to run but I continue to run three times per week. It gets you into it slowly and builds up. I didn't eat anything different but on running days I did try to eat a snack an hour before (banana typically) just because…

That is an awesome NSV. That shows real self control and an awareness of how you would feel if you ate it and went over your calories. And now you get to enjoy Red Lobster two days in a row!!!

I'm 5'1" and my BMR is 1698 so that could be right depending on age and weight. I have been netting 1400 calories and losing weight. I work at a desk job but workout for an hour or so 6 days a week so I set my exercise to moderate. I will soon be increasing my calories but I want to do it slowly so that I don't get a shock…

Ugh, I just looked at that damn chart and despite losing 45lbs I am still morbidly obese.

Oh the jiggling. Things have definitely tightened up so the jiggling has lessened but there's still some jiggling going on. It is so great to hear others talk about their jiggling because when it happens you feel like you are the only one. In the 2+ months since I started the program it is amazing how much has tightened up…

That is not pathetic at all. I almost cried the first time I ran for two minutes because I didn't think I could do it and I did. Anything that you can do is a step in the right direction. There is no small victories!!! Keep moving for your health!!

My husband doesn't like tomatoes either so when we make pizza we do half "white" for him. The white consists of olive oil and garlic spread on the dough and then mozzerella and parmesan. It is yummy!! He will even add pepperoni to it so really you can do anything. Pizza can be customized to any preference :)

Love it. What a great way to start your day and on a Friday!!!!

I would be happy if someone complimented me but I think you are right in that if you over compliment it might come off as pity rather than actually being a compliment. Maybe a simple "You rock?!"

OMG! That is amazing. I've just recently started adding weights to my exercise routine and I am benching 50lbs. That seems so little compared to what you are doing. LOL. Now I have something to aspire to. How many reps/sets do you do? I am figuring it out on my own so I am doing about 40 reps per session right now. Do you…

I use an old fashioned scale too. Sometimes I would like to see those .? lost but for the most part I really don't need to be that picky. As long as the scale keeps going down I"m happy!!! I think that the doctors scales are purposely set higher to make us crazy. Just my opinion

I just finished the C25K program!! It is amazing how well it works. In the beginning I thought I would die running just a minute and now I am running for 30 minutes!!! At the end of each week I did not think that I would be able to complete the next week and I did it every single time. I really surprised myself. I think it…

What a great idea!!! I wish I could do that but both copiers are right near my office :) When I go for water or bathroom breaks I take the long way back to my office. That's about as good as it gets. Fortunately my company has a gym that I am able to use on my lunchbreaks so i usually walk on the treadmill and do some…

I'm at 45lbs lost and people are just starting to really notice. At first it irritated me but then I reminded myself that I was doing this for ME and no one else. They will notice eventually and so will you.

I'm a bit older than you but I started at 260 and am 5 feet 1 inch so I totally get where you are coming from. I started by slowly changing the way I ate and walking for 15 min on the treadmill. I have since lost 45 lbs and now a serving satisfies me and I can workout for hours if I want to. Make small changes at first so…

Good for you. You won't regret it when you are at the end of the program and shocked that you made it so far!!!

bump because I really need to make the move outside too.

This was mine too. I was with my husband and we were seated and I was squishing everything that could be squished and finally got the belt latched. It took so long though that I know people must have been staring. I was too embarrassed to actually look around to confirm but I have no doubt that people were annoyed with…

Garth got me too.

bump because I have been using machines for my weight/strength training.

I have totally been there and it feels terrible. It is so strange the disconnect in our brains that we don't realize how big we have gotten until we see a pic or video of ourselves. Even when I look in the mirror I know that I'm big but those pics give new meaning to just how big. You realize it and now you can do…

I eat pretty much every two and a half hours and mainly that is to keep me from getting too hungry and binging. 8am breakfast 10:30am snack 1pm lunch 3pm snack 5:30pm dinner Sometimes I have a snack at night but usually just a couple squares of dark chocolate work for me.

We totally need an anthem!! :)
