My suggestion is don't stop snacking, just snack smarter. Plan and log your evening snacks ahead of time so that you can eat within your goal throughout the day. Be realistic about your plan.

I use this http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/ I feel like it calculated my TDEE a bit high, but it is a good starting point.

I watch TV while on the stationary bike. Competition shows like the Voice are fun to watch because I challenge myself to keep going for one more act/song, or go faster for one song, etc.

Sauteed zucchini is yummy by itself. You can also grate zucchini into scrambled eggs for breakfast.

http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/ I use this and don't record exercise calories. It has worked for me. MFP tends to set the goal low.

I'm a working mom of a five year old. My exercise includes the time that I do on the stationary bike and weird things on the weekend which I now log as "playing frisbee." That sometimes means teaching my kid to ride a bike, playing catch, cleaning, and sometimes actually playing frisbee :)

Just becoming more aware is a good thing. I try not to let myself become overly hungry, because then my body just wants junk. I also don't deprive myself of a treat if I want it. I find a way to fit it in.

BTW, I am 151 pounds now and my goal is 1720 calories a day. I work a desk job and exercise 1-3 hours a week. I am losing weight still. Slowly, but surely.

That isn't high at all. If anything, it seems a bit low to me. I started higher than that when I was 196 pounds (5'7") and lost weight. Give it a try. Also check the calculator at http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/

I save 200-450 calories so I can have a night snack. In the beginning, I would log those calories ahead of time so they would be there. My favorite night snack choices are air popped popcorn with butter, chocolate, and/or a cocktail :)

I bought a stationary bike at a yard sale for $30 and lost 50 pounds on it and walking. I love riding the stationary bike while watching TV and setting goals like to the next commercial, the next show, five more minutes, etc.
