I love the idea of a motivation dress, but not a specific event and date attached to it. You really don't know what size you are going to be then, especially if you hit a plateau or if things go faster than you think. If you are stuck on getting one for that event, maybe get two or three different sizes???

I lost 50 pounds. It literally feels like a load off my entire body. It is easier to breathe, move, and sleep. Honestly, I did miss that little shelf of stomach fat that I used to keep my arm on while I slept, but I am more comfortable sleeping. I don't have to shift around so much during the night. Random aches and pains…

I lost 50 pounds from 2013-2014. I recently discovered a storage bin full of clothes that had become too small for me many years ago. Now most of them are too big!

My new size bra did not look right to me, but when I tried it on with a few tops I could see it fit perfect. I just had to get used to my new body :)

I have several foods that I "hate," and I have been picking them off one by one for the last few years. I gradually start eating them until I love them. Cucumbers, mustard, and red peppers to name a few...

I generally weigh myself in the morning, but I don't do it daily as much anymore since I am in the healthy weight range. I don't record a gain on MFP unless it sticks around for a few weeks. I don't record a loss for a week or so either. When I was losing steadily, I would record a loss right away and wait a few days to…

I think my best reward in this process was buying clothes (just a few outfits because my budget was tight too) at the thrift store that fit just right and donating the clothes that were too big with each size change.

A $5-10 "shopping spree" at a 99 cent store is fun. Spend a couple extra dollars on some fruit or health food that you wouldn't normally splurge on (I usually only buy stuff on sale or in season, but will splurge on a more expensive mango or something as a treat now and then). Go for a walk somewhere special or do…

It took me a year to lose 40 pounds. I'm now in my "healthy weight" range and taking it slowly to lose just a little more. It will probably take me another year to lose the last 5-10 pounds. I'm stopping when it feels right.

Hi everyone! I haven't been able to check-in here lately, but I just wanted to say hi! Life is so busy these days, but I'm on track :) I made my goal for Winter, and will check back in on the Spring thread! I decided to work for just five more pounds but will take it slow.

Find a stationary bike at a yard sale or thrift store. They are quiet and can be pushed into a corner when not in use.

Don't keep sugary foods or things you tend to overeat with in your home. Be prepared at home and work with baggies/snack containers of low cal munching foods like celery, carrots and cucumbers (salsa is low cal for dipping, but watch the sodium if you use it). I ate tons of celery when I first started a healthy eating…

Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Nope. Just went a little over after discovering my son's forgotten leftover ice cream in the freezer :) He will never know. Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Yes What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? 3 minutes on my new balance board What would I have done differently?…

Nothing but fruits and veggies and the gym five times a week? It sounds like you are embarking on another extreme diet plan. Making a healthy life change that you can sustain beyond a diet will be more beneficial in the long run. Add to that a calorie deficit. You will find lots of support here on MFP.

I log daily, like updates (except I rarely like or comment on diary completion posts or look at diaries because friends who don't eat enough make me sad), and comment when I have time.
