Oh, and dinner 30-60 minutes after that. I think my diary is open so feel free to look.

I do late evening pre-dinner workout to accomodate my 13 year old who said she was going to do this with me but made the first 2 days and has had one reason or another (most legit: ill for a few days, twisted ankle last night) as to why she can't each night. Anyway...did some reading up and I drink chocolate milk (organic…

That short term weight gain may well have been due to the huge amounts of sodium in the pizza causing water retention, nit eating too many calories. Eat back your exercise calories. It is the fuel your body needs to run on. It is like expecting your car to go the same distance on 1 gallon of gas and 10 gallons of gas. If…

Continue to take SWAGs at calories burned. Friend gave me a heart rate monitor. Now I have to get someplace to get a new battery put in. Not so easy with hours I am currently working. It will probably have to wait for the weekend. Felt like I took a quarter-step back with workout today in terms of energy and keeping up.…

Confused. My calendar says "Cardio Circuit" for today and several other days. It also has "Plyometric Cardio Circuit" for other days. But there is no 'Cardio Circuit" disc. I did Plyometric Cardio Circuit but not sure I did the right workout.

Hang in there. I find when I adjust my schedule or try new things it takes a while to settle into and adjust to the new routine, but once I do it takes less time, becomes easier and what I used to need to think through becomes a habit.

Day 8 Pure cardio: Did better time around on this. Needed 30 second breaks on suicides, frog jumps and ski jumps but kept up with the rest at close to full speed through the first 30 minutes and varied between 50% to 100% on the last 5 - 7 minutes of cardio (then the rest was stretching). Don't skip the stretching! I have…

and as Murphy612 said be honest, direct and confident. Guy perspective: And assuming a lot because we are not there to observe body language, tone, etc.: He is probably interested. He is probably taking you not saying anything to stop is an indication to him you are too. Politely but firmly let him know you think he is a…

Got home from work a little before 7 pm. Tired and hungry. Pushed myself to put in the Insanity disc and hit play for Day 8. Glad I did but man o manashevitz am I beat. Had dinner after. I also did better this time around. Had trouble again with quads getting very fatigued with the reach and touch floor turn/jump and do it…

Day 6 Insanity workout was great. I kept up better this time and was totally spent until about 10 minutes left. Biggest issue still my quads just having no umph left for power squats and ski moves at end. Definetly saw some improvement from the first time through this disc. All caught up now and will skip rest day and join…

Did a pre-lunch day 5 workout (I know, a day behind) definitely a tough workout but felt great after getting over just a touch of nausea. Some moves were new to me so focused on form going slow to get form down before picking up the pace. Hard workout but I think the first 2 after the fitness test (days 2 and 3) were the…

The people in the video - superfit and awesomed bodied as they are- can't keep up with the people in the video. It makes me feel better seeing them have to take breaks or dying on some exercise while someone else is still pumping away. Reminds me if they need breaks and can't do it all no way am I supposed to be able to.

I have a pair of New Balance shoes designed for cross training. good support and a somewhat wider base for balance while weight lifting. I am adjusting to wearing them during the videos because i am used to going barefoot for the home workouts. Thanks to teamryan's advice I did not attempt that with Insanity - forewarned…

You can wait for official word from teamryan, but the point is not to injure yourself. If you can do the workouts - great. If you are that sore after and having lots of trouble getting through the routines, then think about whether you need to take a step back and shift to a different exercise program to build up to…

Where I work we order in every day from a sandwich place. I talked to them and I now order different stuff on a bed of spinach or arugula instead of on bread. Had sausage parm on spinach today. Have had grilled and fried chicken breast with fresh mozz and tomota on both spinach and on arugala. 2 other people in my office…

Did day 3 Cardio Power and Resistance. Easier than Day 2 and did okay keeping up until end. I was doing about 25%-50% of the reps at the end. Mind was willing but the quads were not on those globe jumps. Went at my own pace and those 8 rapid push ups and prone sprints (not the right name) were tough did about 1/2 pace on…

I am feeling both WOW and abetter about how I did. I went all out and kept up for the 1st 25 minutes but struggled the rest of the way. Focused on learning new moves and a few things I'd done before but called different names (like cross country). Drenched but feeling great. What a workout. Looking forward to hearing from…

Anyone have a guestimate on calories burned on Day 2? Do not have a HRM but it is #1 on the wish list for father's day (which is kinda sad in a way).
-
Great results, both in the photos and on your new confidence and energy.
-
Thanks for posting. I took the Fit Test this weekend and have Day 2 workout tonight.
-
Me too on the throwing up part but I had something to eat 1/2 before and won't make that mistake again (I WILL find other ones to make). I admire you starting this. It is all about becoming a better you. Hang in there with me and us. We can do it together.
