I had always wondered what 30 lbs of fat looked like and I can't believe I've lost that much! It sucks when you see yourself everyday you don't notice how incredible the results are compared to others.

I hope you can fix your pics because I would love the see the transformation. It's incredible how many lbs and inches you love, plus muscle gained!!! Congrats, that is some tough work there!

I just started working with a male personal trainer and I think more than anything you need to find a trainer that you connect well with. I had no preference for man over woman, he was just someone that I mad met with and was really easy to get along with and understood my goals. He said to me "my job is for you to get rid…

Welcome!! You will just LOVE this site along with all of the people on it. We are here for the same reason and you will find so much support. I've tried a couple of other weight loss sites and none of them compare to MFP.

That is such an amazing accomplishment. I hope that you are truly proud of yourself, you should be!!!

I find that it helps me be able to drink more water. Since January I have had very little soda and am 99% water strictly but drinking plain water gets old so I figured I'd use a flavor to spruce it up and keep me going. Just log it in your diary and you're golden!

You look absolutely amazing!!

It could be too little water, too much sodium...who knows! I know it's hard but try to limit weighing yourself to one day a week. The same time (or close to) and same clothes (or none at all!). Weight fluctuates so much and can be discouraging when you see it go up.

I have heard that you sleeping affects your weight but I can't tell you how. According to JM, some doctors think that when you hit a certain stage of sleep your metabolism increases. Now that's not definite but a possibility. Plus you need to make sure you eat enough. By under-eating you are doing yourself a disservice so…

The way I feel is if they don't provide the nutritional values then stay away! You need to know what calories you are taking in so you can accurately decide how you eat throughout the rest of the day and how much exercise you need to do to even out. The problem with restaurants is they may cook things in butter and put…

I can tell a huge difference in your face! That is where my weight loss was more noticeable too. Just wait until you notice the slimmer waist and smaller thighs...it's such a great feeling =)

My goal is 135lbs. Right now I'm at 144 and I'm okay with how I look, I just need to lose a little bit more fat and tone up my body a little bit more. I couldn't imagine being under 130lbs. That would probably be too skinny, I still want some shape ;)

I think that people who don't go through it will never fully understand. She might not realize how much of an effect that can have on your day and how you feel. I like the suggestion of learning some lower calorie treats to cook together. She can still cook for you and you can eat it guilt free!
-
You look amazing! Gives me motivation to keep going :) I'm about 9lbs from my goal and my GW is 135 also. Hopefully my body ends up looking as good as your does. Congrats girl!!

I started out at a 36DD and am not at a 34D which I am not complaining about at all. Once you get into the doubles it is so hard to find a good bra that doesn't cost $50! So now I can finally go to a regular store like Kohl's and pick up nice bras for $25. Plus the bigger the bra the uglier they seem to get! They will have…

I'm a picky eater too so maybe I can give some helpful hints. Ok so there is of course the obvious and eat more fruits and veggies since they are usually pretty low in calories. With the foods that you like, find healthier options of them. For instance, I love bread so instead of white bread I now eat Whitewheat bread…

I am a member and even though every location may be a little different, overall it's a great franchise and I'm very happy with it. There is plenty of equipment and different kinds of equipment. You can't really beat $10 a month for unlimited use. I pay $20 and can use the massage chairs, tan (not that I use either) and can…

I weigh myself once a week. Every Sunday when I wake up I weigh myself wearing either nothing or maybe undies and a tank.

No judging here! For some more than others it is extremely hard to keep the weight off. If you feel that was your best choice then who is anybody to tell you otherwise? Welcome to MFP. This site is amazing and the people are so wonderful and supportive. We are all going through the same thing so there is a lot of…

If you are looking for the most accurate heart rate readings I suggest getting a HRM. How many calories you burn is dependent on your age, height, weight, etc... If you are really serious about weight loss and maximizing your weight loss, getting a HRM is the best thing you can do.
-
You are not far from the boat, don't worry! I'm sure you know that the hardest step is the first one. Taking that initiative to pass on the delicious, but bad foods, for our bodies. Once you take that step to eating healthier again and exercising you will be just fine! It's hard to recuperate after being sick for that…

My opinion is to eat [most of] them before you workout. Since your body turns the food you eat into energy it makes more sense to eat the majority of them before you work out.

I'm going to piggy back on a lot of people and suggest you to get a Polar HRM. I have the FT4 and love love love it! It gives you the heart rate zone, heart rate and calories burned. It's great because you enter in your height, age, weight, etc... so you can get an accurate account of how many calories YOU have burned. The…
