  • Motivation from others is exactly what we need! Keep on being that motivation for people and we'll do the same for you!
  • Welcome to MFP! This site is amazing and has helped me lose 25lbs. It's been something that is essential in my weight loss. Not only where you can track your food and exercise but gaining the relationships with people and gaining their support has been priceless.
  • Nice to meet you too! Congrats on losing 60lbs before joining MFP. That is quite an accomplishment :)
  • Congrats on the 21lb weight loss. You look great! The before and after shots are so different, especially in your face and tummy area. Like you, I find other people's stories and pictures extremely motivating.
  • You won't burn more calories if you exercise in a specific time frame. Whatever works best for you. If you are better at workouts in the morning and will get a better burn then you should do the mornings. If you are more awake and have more energy later in the evening then workout in the evening. It's all about your…

  • Just that I felt better. After getting rid of so much unhealthy food and adding exercise into your life makes such a huge difference. I would say my A-Ha moment was when I realized that I felt awful if I didn't go to the gym. I have turned my life into a healthy one and haven't looked back since! And buying a size smaller…
  • Absolutely true! I find that when I eat more, I lose more. Your body needs food for energy. The less you eat, even with working out, the less effective your workouts become. You need to eat at least what your daily calorie intake is. You don't have to eat back all of your calories when you exercise but it does not hurt to…
  • It makes me feel so much better knowing other people have done that too!!
  • It's very hard to eat exactly 1200 calories. That used to be my calorie goal but I changed my goals around and am now at 1300 calories which I think is better. So if I eat a few more then 1200 and am still under my 1300 goal then it's a win day! If it matters to you whether or not you are a few calories over every day then…
  • Good question LOL! I'm one of those people who definitely don't need a push up bra but choose to wear them. For me I just like that it lifts my boobs up higher, I feel like they look better in my clothes that way. Now they do have the push up bras that advertise increasing 1-2 cup sizes which anyone above a C should stay…
  • I didn't even need to read all of it. Obviously she is a moron because she said that exercise doesn't help you lose weight. Not that she had any validation in the first place, but after seeing that, she's officially a total moron. And to refer to people as 'fatties' is just unnecessary. She's a ***** to put it simply.
  • You and I are at the same place. I've lost 24lbs since January and still eat some of the same foods, just a lot less of them. Plus I exercise now. Sometimes I want to just dive in and eat a huge plate of pasta and half a pizza like I used to. Maybe putting it into perspective of 'doing that is how I got to 170lbs'. I used…
  • Congrats on losing 33 lbs. You look amazing! I bet you feel incredible :)
  • It's quite the awesome feeling, isn't it? Congrats :)

  • Weighing yourself every day will see all of the weight fluctuations you deal with on a daily basis. I suggest once a week. I weigh myself every Sunday morning, to make sure that I haven't gone off track on the weekends. First thing in the morning, after going to the bathroom, wearing as little as possible or without any…
  • They are a quick fix, nothing that will help you to keep the weight off.
  • I don't know how long you stay bloated during your TOM but it can be days for me. It seems pointless to weigh yourself when there are things going on in your body that you can't control. My stomach will get so big and bloaty and I just feel disgusting! It can be 2-3 lb difference. My suggestion is to skip your weigh in (or…
  • Honey you look absolutely gorgeous!!!!! You are doing so well :)
  • Your weight fluctuates too much to weigh yourself every day. I would suggest weighing yourself once a week. It's hard at first to resist stepping on the scale every day but once you do it won't be that hard anymore. You might become counterproductive by weighing yourself so much, maybe getting discouraged. One day you…
  • Skinny grande caramel macciato - 150 calories :) YUM!
  • Please don't take this the wrong way - but I didn't read your whole post. I understand the jist of what you were saying though. This is really about beginning a lifestyle change. You don't want to just diet because then you will just have this sick cycle of losing weight, gaining weight. losing weight, yadda yadda. It's…
  • Your title says it all! At first I was really hesitant to spend nearly $80 on my HRM but getting the most accurate reading is so important. If you are serious about losing weight then this is definitely something that i think you need to have. I'm glad that you are finding it helpful and worth it!
  • I would go based on when you normally eat lunch. If you eat lunch at 12 then I would shoot for 8. I try to eat every 2 hrs. Breakfast around 8, snack at 10, then lunch at 12. It works for me and keeps me from overeating.
  • That's incredible and absolutely inspirational!
  • I'd go to a Thrift store. They are cheap and sometimes you can find some nice stuff! I think about when I go through my closet getting rid of things that I don't wear, I toss out my crappy clothes and I'm usually giving away things that I never or rarely wore for whatever reason.
  • I do use the weights - whatever she says to do, I do! LOL. For all of you who said to keep pushing through it, man you are troopers! I pushed through it last night and did fine, I just don't want to do anything bad by pushing myself.

  • I never thought about that (oddly enough!). Thanks for the tip. Might do that on my lunch break today :)
  • Ok that is just funny!!! And I agree, who doesn't love bacon?!
  • I have this infatuation with shows like The Biggest Loser and Heavy and on The Biggest Loser one of the trainers was a professional boxer and I see the workout it gives people and it looks amazing. You get to release some aggression/frustration along with an incredible workout!
  • That's a nice perk. The one downfall about losing weight is possibly not fitting into clothes that you had to buy because you've already lost so much weight. But then again, that's what they have clearance and thrift shops for ;) It's nice to have a goal that you can actually see and feel. GOOD LUCK!
