On day 12, and down 7 lbs... 20 more to go! I do love the flavors, with butter and herbs and SALT! I was so afraid of butter and salt before. Nice to sauté my veggies in it! And it's been fun being creative with my foods.

You should add some protein. Breakfast, maybe some scrambled egg whites? And greek yogurt for higher protein? And add some veggies. Your carbs may be a little high, especially in comparison to your proteins.

Thank you!! I went to iifym.com and used the calculator! Awesome, thanks!

So, I've been reading mainly because I'm curious. I'm here to learn! So, who tells you what your 'macros' are? I have changed my calories so many times, trying to figure out what it's suppose to be (am I eating too little or too much??), and also changing my percent of protein/carbs/fat. I'm so confused! I would love for…

I know a lot of posts are bashing people that have had results using Isagenix products. I don't sell it. Never have. Never will. But I've used it. I was eating healthy, watching all my calories, working out everyday, and was stuck at my weight. Had only lost 4 lbs in 2.5 months. So I tried Isagenix. Did the cleanse, and…

This happened to me once a couple of weeks ago. I workout with a trainer 2 days a week. He pushes me INCREDIBLY hard. The first couple of weeks with him, I was close to puking and get super light headed. Well during this particular workout I was struggling. Sometimes we have days our bodies just don't want to work as hard.…

What is 'low bar' and 'high bar'? Is this where you rest the bar bell on your shoulders/back??

1200 seems very low for the amount of calories you're burning working out 4 hrs a day. Swimming burns a lot! I would up your calories.

The one by Bluefin (Green background, white stick figure running) is the original C25K! Love theirs! And they have the Ease into 10k and Bridge to 10k among others. They are great! Highly recommend.

In that case... I'll pass! EEEK run! :noway:

I'm 5'3.5 as well. I currently weigh 135. The heaviest I've been was after my last child, I was 162. It was pretty gross!!! I'm pear shaped, so carry my weight in my hips/thighs. I've gotten down to 130, but can't get myself to get to the 120's!! But that is my GOAL! 125 would be awesome. I was 117 when I got married 16…

I'd look at your diet too. Calories are not equal. You need a good amount of protein to build/repair muscles while lifting weights. And lot's of people take supplements /whey protein etc. as well.

Yep!! I'm in Washington state, and LOVE them! And so do a lot of my friends! Maybe it's a west coast thing?? I also don't eat them very often, because chips are not on my healthy eating list! But every once and awhile my daughter will have a bag and I'll eat a couple. YUM!!

Add weights! Make sure those squats have weights. Either by holding 15lb (or higher!) dumbbells, or with a barbell. Some of the comments listed above have some good ideas on weights. Get a good weight training program going, on top of your running, and you will see some good results!

Just remind yourself that when people are critical, it's due to their own insecurities. Happy people don't need to put down other people! They are probably jealous that you found something that works, and they haven't. Or that your way is different then there way. Oh well! Be proud of the weight you've lost and the work…

Agree! I would've suggested the same thing.

I'm curious what other people's weight training schedule is? THANKS!

Following this thread... I'm considering competing this fall, but have heard alot of the advice mentioned. I go back and forth; scared about the grueling process of prep, but then really wanting to see how hard I can go!!

Great advice/info, thank you!! Just started really weight training this week and get away from my girly dumbells! Love this thread. Thanks!

Are you eating meats? You can't have milk, and all you are mentioning is cheese and eggs. Eat more meat!

I've just recently decided to eat more clean. Mainly because I want to fuel my body with the best, without all the unnecessaries. I'm a work in progress! I've just looked for meal-ideas online of clean recipes. I've tried a half dozen or so this last two weeks. About half were pretty nasty. So, I can see how it will take…
